For example, Krunch reminds me of Bruce from the comic Atland.

You guys are serious? No one reminds you of anyone? Are you guys kidding me? Come on, His evil wittyness Richard doesn't remind you of any other being?

Well, I suppose Richard semi reminds me of my brother........ but that might simply because I view him as being the epitome of evil within my own personal life.
I'm gonna do some pimpage, but Cale actually kinda reminds me of Yitsana, the inability to really comprehend someone being bad, wanting to make amends, despite personal sacrafices. Just an overall sickeningly sweet core. With that said, was it the gnome outfit that made Cale look unproportianit, or was it really how he was drawn. *shrugs* oh well.
There, the thread has gotten a post by someone other then the starter, it can now be forgotten.

Richard reminds me of every jerk griefer in MMOs... the ones who use the evil alignment of their character as an excuse to treat other people like garbage, both in and out of character. The ones who should be banned from the internet.

I say that Crunch can represent every big guy in the fighting games, so long as the thought of big guy isn't completely stupid. Crunch seems to have more intellect than what has been shown

Dude, I love that game and I completely for got about that guy. Let's see, Pinky reminds me of most of the good guys in animes, comic books, or video games that seem aloof and goody-two shoes in the beginning, but later realize that fighting could be used to solve the problem. Let's see if that happens to the wimpy elf

Richard reminds me of Darth Vader with a sense of humor.
Cale reminds me of Luke before he knows anything.
Benny reminds me of Princess Leia, something to do with thinking Cale is a moron.
Crunch reminds me of Han Solo, something about tackling a dragon.
The gnomes remind me of stormtroopers, endless and easy to kill.
By the way, I like Star Wars.

Richard makes me think(or hope) that my warlock is similiar.
Loves to destroy, while all the while cracking jokes and being all deliciously witty.
I'm going to go with hopeful though. No one can be Richard.
Cale reminds me of my brother. Stupid stupid ever trusting Cale.

Actually i've done a number of things like Richard. Takeing a mans teeth when he pulled a knife in an honest brawl, be generally sick and twisted, though its on my to do list i haven't set an orphanage on fire.

Personally Kruch remindes me of Barret from FFVII and Richard resembles black mage from 8-bit theatre. As for Cal and Benny no clue.

I thought they were VERY similar. both elves from an elvish race that hates people and wants to murder everyone. Both good despite their racial nature. Both rangers/Hunters with black panthers. I think Cale is better though cause Drizzt sucks ass. If ur gonna be drow you may aswell flaunt it off like The rest of the species... except those stupid Eilistraenies... bah!

Do you think Richard would like evil pie? I do.
Maybe Cale would be the one who likes swords.
Who stole my display name?
Feb 27 2007, 06:46 AM
Going with the 8-bit thing:
Richard is like Black Mage
Cael is very nearly Fighter (replace swords with goodness and nobility)
Benny is a white mage who gives in to her homicidal impulses
...
i have no 8-Bit parallel for Krunch tho,,

If Drizzt sucks so much, why do so many people play Drzzt clones in D&D? (and you thought -your- Drow armed with twin scimitars was original

)
Incidentally, if this were an MMO, Cale seems to be -much- lower level than the rest of the party. A fighter type/Ranger who can't hit a Wizard? Either that or Richard is -much- higher level than anyone else in the party.

Richard is obviously a very high level if you are going on a level scale, just go back and look at his resume in one of the earlier comics. And besides, he is the mayor of a scenic town on the coast, that must make him a high level.

Krunch is going Hoof-to-ear with dragons, and the Green babe is resurrecting things at the drop of a bag of dust.
While I'm more inclined to simply say Cale suffers from character related incompetence, the comic starts with his naming various heroic intentions. Something every fresh off the shelf hero does before he becomes jaded with the whole career and starts going for profit - so, if levels had even the slightest portion of significance in this comic, and I suspect they don't, it might be fair to suggest he is lower level than his newfound chums.

Ya, Cale= Drizzt. Besides the similarities between their situations, both are justs so sickeningly moral and must deliberate upon any action in case it might be EVIL.

Cale doesn't really remind me of Drizzt, mostly because Drizzt can kill anything he comes across on his own, and Cale can't kill much of anything, except a peasant maybe.
