While still coming off the high that was New York Comicon, I feel compelled to remind you that both Lar and I will be attending Megacon, in Orlando, Florida from February 27th to March 1st.

In completely unrelated news, while NBC’s Heroes is losing me a little more with each passing episode, last night’s Lost was the best of this season thus far. The show may drive me nuts from time to time, still, it has its hooks deep into me.

Also, allow me to put the rumors to rest: I am not the final Cylon.

Or is that what the final Cylon would say?

- Because I Can.

What is it specifically that is causing the decline in interest? I only ask because I am feeling the same thing. Opinions?

I think it's the complete idiocy of all the characters and the fact that they so often 'forget' to use their powers.

I feel compelled to beg you to stick with it though because Bryan Fuller is on his way. I have complete confidence that he will save this show starting with 3.19 and through to 3.25.

My problem with Heroes, aside from hole-ridden plot, is the characters. They change from episode to episode, and don't stick to any established pattern.

Nathan sacrifices his life for Peter at the end of Season 1, and now he has no problem incarcerating him?

Between 24, American Idol, Lost, House, Fringe and BSG, there's plenty to see without watching a show like Hero's that's slowly circling the drain. Besides, Whedon's Dollhouse is debuting tomorrow, which... will be good while it lasts rolleyes.gif.

Also, Sohmer, be honest: the real reason you're going to Megacon is as an excuse to visit Florida, right? cool.gif

I'm a huge Firefly nerd but Dollhouse looks...I don't know...just...meh. I think people are going to get offended by the concept and get the thing removed. I mean it's Whedon so it is nearly physically impossible for it to be bad...but at the same time I don't really find myself wanting to go see the debut. What do other people think?

I agree that I think its about to get better, due to Bryan Fuller. While I wasn't particularly thrilled with the first half of the season, I feel that the second half is looking up-- mostly due to the fact that they're dropping the mystical "light" garbage. Now if only the writer's of Heroes can manage to stop taking their continuity ques from Marvel.

I saw the debut of Dollhouse, and while the concept is slightly less grandiose than most of Whedon's projects, I found it enjoyable. It was as clever, and fun as anything else I've seen him do. While I worry about him putting any faith at all in Fox, the fact that they put it after Terminator is pretty cool. That show is doing well, and they seem to have the same demographic.

If you really want to watch a good show, pull up a good episode of Doctor Who. Never fails to put a smile on my face. Not as much for the 4th season though. But 1st- 3rd are really good.
Consider this.

And I'm stoked to see you guys at Megacon.
