I'm a big fan of Richard's pose.

Has anyone noticed that his physique seems to change page to page? Most of the time Richard looks really spindly, but right before the big battles, he's bulkier. I'm starting to think Richard works out before the big fights.

Well I see a big chance that they will storm the field and ... everythings burned to the ground and everyones gone. Actually that last panels hero pose just begs for that, too. And as someone stated in some earlier thread: they should have been there pages ago.

Yeah Krunch will have survived ... hes a main charater
Krunch will probably see Cale & Richard storming the battlefield and turn whats left of his army right around

Being a main character didn't seem to do much to save anyone in Harry Potter, or Final Fantasy VII, just to name two of my favorites. Even if everything's been burned to the ground, they can still "avenge" the fallen by slaughtering the king's (world) army.

there to late, there coming to burned and utterly defeated north...
because they couldn't move fast enough and by the time they get there army it will be on the way out and they will see the devastating power of legra.. it might just be in time to catch them in between the fort and them so yes it will be epic, a epic mop up to a tired army that already fought and already killed half, sister may be dead we dont know if that will have even more wanton to kil them because they came to late..
but i do predict that krunch will be in his madness for seeing his father dead. and so will ray but i think one of the main story characters something is going to happen.. like maybe krunch stays and leads his whats left of his people and rest may listen to cale and go to his city that ha the other villiagers in the last story line have...
but epic yes it will be a epic and sad battle to the end

Day late and a gold short, much?
I can see Richard with conflicting emotions. Sure, he might initially admire the death and destruction the Legaran army left behind, and the apparent efficiency in which they did so.
But then he'll realise that he missed out on the battle and the chance to wipe out entire armies, and create all that wonderful destruction himself.
Poor Richard.
In other news, whar be Felbunny?

I'd imagine that he casts some sort of mage armour/buff before going into massive battles. Alternately it's just something that makes him look beefier!

Regarding Cale... (This is a semi-reply to a previous post asking if Cale was promoted to General.)
Seems to me that everyone knows, or suspects what Cale's destiny is, except Cale.
Richard can't leave Cale because of something important, some tie between them.
Pella (and the Archmage) know that he's important and must be protected.
Even Benny, whom I suspect is fond of Cale, has seen a lot of growth in Richard since Kethenecia (sp?) and I'm sure calling him General is like a bit of teasing and respect.
With the sisters, and brothers, and the troops following Cale, he definitely has some leadership qualities.
I hope he gets there quick enough to save whats left of the North.

I read this last night before i slept and now i have this great idea that were not going to see any epic battle. Instead, we'll see Cale play democrat and a messeger. Why waste your army when you just escaped the *lightly guarded* enemy capital? Richard probably was looking around with flaming raccoons and one thing lead to another and now Legaria is burning like Bloodrage Isle
Either that or Richard repeats his distraction plan again.

Hi everyone, I just registered because a question popped into my mind:
Normally I would assume that with daddy Bloodrage dead, Ray'd would be next in command, since he is their warchief or whatever they call it, also I somehow always figured him as Krunch's bigger brother and therefore firstborn. On the other hand, you could interpret daddy Bloodrage's last words as putting Krunch in command. So I wonder who is actually going to lead the last stand of the Bloodrage in the next page?!

I think if there was going to be an epic battle, they would have sprung on the enemy mid fight, and you wouldn't see all this "planning".
I think the whole "You do this, you do that, oh we're so going to win!" is one of those "ALRIGHT!... aw, our allies are all dead >.> let's look for survivors"

I'd assume it'd be a joined effort of both of them. If by some chance they win the battle and both live I'd guess that Krunch would leave the tribe with an enlightened Ray'd as the leader (seeing as though Ray'd didn't like his father's plans but had to follow them being a soldier).

Sigh.
Another update where absolutely nothing happens.
This is why it's so much better to step in five years into the comic, start at the first, and just go; comics like today's are gone in a heart beat, and you're on to bigger and better things. You don't have to wait three days for cool stuff to take place.

Sometimes... Then again, sometimes you find said old comic too late. The story-line's been abandoned, half the "updates" toward the end are disapointing references to a game you never bothered with and don't care about, and all the blue angelic text is illegable due to it being available only in a fan-archive. WHY LoR?! WHY?!!
.... Um... Nevermind.
Anyway, yeah... My first thought at the end of this page was "Too little, too late much?" But maybe not. It's kinda hard to become a king of prophecy if you have no kingdom. A city of legend is all fine and good, but you need to have a few people running around in it...
True, he's already leading a few people... But... Meh... Not quite enough there methinks.
I see this as a setup for topping the next rise and indeed finding all in ruin, as we've already seen it is. Legara is mid-mop-up, and caught off-guard. The already exausted Northern survivors of the first stage of the battle rally, and some retribution is had. The heros win, but only just barely, the casualties so heavy that the Northerners will be forced to make a more permenant alliance.
Then again, my ideas are often blown out of the water by the comming of the next page.

Win.
As for as nothing happening I wouldn't feel too bad about it. Sure. Occasionally when I log on and see the plot hasn't moved an inch I can be disappointed but for the most part I really don't mind. I'm a novel guy, not really a comic one, and one of my main issues with comics is that everything seems to be incredibly rushed. In the long run looking back we'll be glad for these fillers.
(Also does anyone else besides me just LOVE the new outfit of the Sister accompanying Cale?)
