Anybody else curious as to why the gnomes just happened to have boots, helmet and gloves big enough for Cale, but not the rest of the uniform?

You could also wonder how Richard can incinerate Cale, or how he can make arrows with his mind. How about the whole tackling the dragon thing, or the entire dragon thing for that matter. If you worry too much about realism, this just isn't as funny. So forget about realism and enjoy the Richard show. And I want to be able to make and juggle fireballs...

Well, all of those make sense when viewed in the fantasty/RPG genre. The fact that the gnomes shoved Cale into that tiny outfit when they clearly have clothing large enough suggests a fantasy of a far more disturbing and sinister nature.

Kill a troll lord huh? They should be thankful it wasn't one of those wonderful WoW quest chains... first you have to kill 20 troll grunts, then 15 troll archers and 15 troll brutes, then light the beacon in the south tower to summon the troll lord, then down his adds before killing him... and your reward will be five flasks of water and 10 silver pieces.

Yay for trolls though, I do so love trolls. Bravo on the comic.

I too am highly anticipating the appearance of Lar/Sohmer's interpretation of Trolls. Maybe it will be more akin to the tradition monstrous, giant human, or something along the lines of the cave trolls of Middle-Earth

The Gnome king knows how to negotiate.

the gnomes didn't just HAPPEN to have gloves in cales size. anyone that's played WoW will know about the 'clothing transmogrification' effect. (probably not under that name though) a tauren can make gloves large enough to fit over, say, a blood elves (or is it elfs?) head. but something funny happens in the trade window, and the blood elf magicly receives gloves that fit him. same thing's obviously happening here. Of course, humor usually overides this. if it would be funny for the character to be forced into incredibly tight shorts, then forced he shall be.

(see kids? it's easy to sound like an expert in anything, if you know the secrets!)
then again, mabe the whole thing is just FUBAR.

I gotta admit I'm a little disappointed. Folks spotted Richard juggling fireballs... and they spotted the burned out corpse falling but no one seems to have noticed the silhouetted guards in the foreground of the first panel tracking our group with said crossbows.

Ohh hush, I saw the guards. Actually you would have probably only heard people complain if we didnt see guards, as this group of adventurers just killed half the gnome army...They really shouldnt let them near their leader without beads drawn on them...
