Woot, I called it a lute, and it's a lute! yay
Wonder why Mom's so shocked? Need more Pella history than that, though now isn't the best time, with Cale falling down an unending (?) abyss, but at least this allows time for the massive prison break, and the party will be reunited while ready to flee/march.

I have to agree... I mean Geeez...
Adamantine thighs huh... well yeah you know where I'm going with that...
Anyhoo it is definitely interesting to see her taking up the skills of both the lute and the axe...
I kind of like the fact that she totally ordered that guy to let her in. Also how Benny assumed she knew nothing about forging weapons.... *bonk*
Then again assuming is sometimes good so I guess she wasn't entirely in the wrong there...
But hey, once we get a vray picture like that with her hair long again I will so totally make a kickbutt Sig...

I like this one... There's a nice little bit with pella's mom there where it looks like she's trying to swing the vote to the lute. that little look of shock made the whole thing for this happy dwarf luv'n man. Only a mithryl brassiere could hold those... rolling meadows...

This is possible, but it's also possible that the creators realized they had a popular character here who didn't really have any backstory. If you think about it, this isn't really much different from the way anyone else's history was handled.

YES. I have no criticism with the artwork of this comic (except this), but it seems like they're constantly misplacing Pella's eyes. She's always staring vacantly off into space or in two different directions.

First she can sing, then she can fight, now, she can make her own weapons. If this was Hollywood, she would be considered a triple threat.
Jamie Hyneman FTW! I'm half expecting Adam Salvage in the next one.

Indeed. It was implied that he was her father but now it's been said outright.
One wonders whether she gained the respect or the ire of both parents through her decision.

Probably mixed feelings by both...but I think more pride from her father and more disapproval from her mother

You're right they really haven't made back any stories to support her being in this comic, like everyone that has been in the story, now i wonder if the use of the forge is going to make her change her armor design.
i think its going to be something different then what we been seeing remember she the daughter of clan breem i.e the black dwarfs.
i think we are going to have major story line with this rescue for cale, i just hope that its not a death of pella i really like her and they way they made her a fighter that loves to sing while in the middle of battle
bah this edit was done on the quick edit and wouldn't let me reply to your comment about what i wrote

I was also a huge fan of the Hyneman cameo. I like how good Discovery Channel bits are worked into a comic that has absolutely nothing to do with the Discovery Channel. So will we get an Adam Savage? And will he say, "I reject your reality and substitute my own!"?
