I'm just wondering, due to scenes in page 167 and 208: Is there any, shenanigans, going on between those girls?
If there isn't, I'm okay with that. Although a bit disappointed.
If there is, why the heck are there any pic's yet?

actually, i think there isn´t anything going on between
any of the characters! there hasn´t even been a hint of love/sex/romance, not even connected to secondary characters. which seems to send the message that this simply isn´t part of this story´s concept ... a shame, if you ask me! if only because LICD shows us that there is a lot of fun potential in this ...
i think sohlar could handle this perfectly without turning LFG into a soap opera, as some here seem to fear.

while I don't think anyone in the story has a relationship beyond friends at this point, I do think something is developing between Cale and Benny...nothing overt yet, but I think feelings are starting to grow a little more between them. For example, page 152, she shows more concern for his feelings, not wanting to hurt him by shattering his illusions too soon.

This is pretty much how I've viewed their relationship so far. Benny also seems to be guarded because of what happened with her last love and dangit I can't recall his name >,<. The one who died challenging his father for her??
Also, is it bad that seeing Benny wearing only a thin sheet in the latest panel makes my belly tingly? >.>

at all is Richard and Cale, as evidenced on page 178, where Richard
doesn't murder Cale (again).

I've seen hints and giggles for a lot of possible couples. From Pella/Richard,(When she first showed up) Benny/Cale, (Off and on, more benny then cale) Benny/richard (mostly from the troll parts, and her taking to "Widdle richard" the most.)

Apologizing if I sound too stupid, but I'm a new fan to all of this.
However, by reading all of it, I didn't remain with the need for a relationship(in the comic!). It's just not how it is supposed to work. I don't think that if there was, it'd be a soap opera, I think the writer is good enough to avoid that. However, I think that the entire concept(as previously mentioned) is by far quite away from involving any relationships. Besides, the fact that there are girls shouldn't always mean there is sex... I'd prefer the storyline developped at this moment(or a funny joke, but usually one means the other

) rather than see it derail, there is just enough on 1 page anyway(not saying anything bad here, just an oppinion).

First of all let me say that this ocmic is awsome. The writing and art is great and I thoroughly enjoy it. Anyway as for relationships in the storyline, I agree that I haven't seen much alluded to as of yet. Pella was making eyes at Cale when he had his shirt off before he went into the dungeon, but that's just cus she's a horny lil dwarf. Though she does seem to have a bit of a soft spot for him in general. Benny seems to be warming up to him to, but honestly, I think it's too early for any of that sort of stuff to be going on, and frankly I don't think the story needs much of it. Just show me some more pillow fight portal scenes and I'll be happy lolol.

Dec 13 2008, 09:53 PM
I believe that there is no relationship like that between any of the characters (except Richard and the bunny). That's the short way of putting it.
Although I can't pull page numbers (or be bothered looking) but any relationship that involves Richard is more like 'Wherever I go with you all I can kill loads of people' (not exact wording). Although it would be hilarious having a love relationship involving an undead character.

I would guess so too.
After all the "spell" Benny tried to convince Pella that was supposed to be created by a young Magician that ought to open a portal to Richard was nothing but an excuse to have a pillowbattle in underwear with Pella. Why else would that "spell" have no effect whatsoever and they need to go to some shamen to recover the spirit of Richard with his aid?

If that was the answer then Benny - as a spellcaster - should know that.
However Benny choses to go with the scantily clad pillowbattle - not with going directly to the shaman who actually CAN summon Richards spirit...
Rip Van Ishmael
Dec 16 2008, 04:48 PM
I'm sure she did know that, but the spell probably just said 'two scantily-clad females having a pillow fight', and she figured since Pella was really the only other female around to give it a shot.
See, this is Benny we're talking about. Sure, going to the shaman straight off would have been more convenient, but~ it also cost monies. And again, this is Benny. She'd exhaust every other option she has before dipping into her funds.
Ooor, we could look at this from a beyond the fourth wall p.o.v, and recall that this comic is drawn by Lar, and he doesn't need a feasible reason to draw barely clothed chicks busting out all over the place.

Ooor it is a devious ploy to mention a young Magician who invented that spell only to reveal in the next time jump that Richard was the Archmage was the Magician who invented that spell because way back then he did set them up to do exactly that for his personal entertainment
He seems to have a very black humour remembering the scene where he stated that the ventriloquism spell was worth every copper

Let´s keep it innocent - Benny gets turned to stone by a Basilisk and needs to be kissed by a Prince (or rather a Princess as demanded by the Sisterhoods overwhelmingly convincing equal rights movement) and suddenly it is revealed that Pella´s dwarven parents were dwarven kings of the nowadays black dwarfs (remember - her father mentioned her to be his heir...).

There was nothing sexual between the two girls in the pillow fight scene. The bedroom scene also means nothing as it is implied they were sleeping in separate beds (which is not unusual and two men or women sharing a bed for the night without having sex was common in the olden days). There is simply no indication of romance between these two characters. That is not to say it is impossible for them to 'get together' but it has not happened yet.
I am on the 'no hugging no kissing' side of things.

Glad I'm not the only one who feels that way.
Some of the reactions and behaviors in this topic remind me a bit too much of teenagers who have one thing on their minds all the time. They try to somehow work some form of sex into anything and everything, no matter how innocuous the situation might be.
