Anyone have some actual Ghost stories?
I'm not one to actually believe in ghost stories but lately ive had a weird vibe, get stronger.
My brother, Dad, And mom swear theyve seen a ghost, and at the time they were all christains so naturally tilll then they were non believers in ghosts.
Working at a place that devolped photos i also got to see some weird pictures.. Smoke and weird figues and the customers swear nobody else was around.. and cameras checked out okay as well..
Now, As for me, I cant help shake this feeling like i been followed.
And its weird but it think its my dead dog
I didnt actually think it was my dog until i was in the shower.. (long story)
But because certain things have happened to me.. throwing in this strange factor makes sense.
Only reason im tellin you guys this is cause if i told my family.. they think i was crazy.
So i wanna know if anyone else has exp. something like this.
I wanna admit though, even i think im going crazy.

I believe in ghosts and guardians, to some degree, mostly because of some really weird things that happened at the Moundsville Penitentiary when we were on a field trip there. We were in the main visitation room for well behaved prisoners, and all the groups were in and talking really, really loud, and the tour guides were trying to talk to the specific groups, and there was this really loud, really shrill laugh. Yes, the Penitentiary is home to a haunted house, but at the time of the field trip they hadn't even begun to set anything up and the tour guides looked like they'd peed themselves. O_o
Across the street we went to the museum for the huge Indian burial mound and we were walking around the thing; originally we were going to climb up on the staircase, but said staircase is breaking apart to this day so we couldn't. Me and a friend of mine walked around the side, away from the group, and I was looking up at the top of the hill because I wanted to see if there was anything up there. Somebody waved at me from the top of the mound, I swear it wasn't anyone from my group either because no one in my tour group had hair that long, plus my school was the only one there. I remember this because I tried to point the person out to my friend, but when we looked back up she was gone and no one came down from the top.
As for guardians, toward the end of eighth grade I was walking by myself down the huge staircase to the cafeteria - my english class was on the other side - and I slid and nearly fell down the stairs; I saw something in front of me, then I was swung around and the next thing I know I am literally on my toes on a stair and I'm clinging to the railing next to me. I don't remember what I saw, it was like a shadow or something. But that was definitely a really scary moment, or should have been, considering this kid had fallen down the same staircase from the same spot a couple days before, but I wasn't bothered in the least for some reason. That in itself is what creeps me out. o_o
EDIT:
I don't remember this at all, but my grandma swears up and down that when I was eight, we were sitting on the swing outside her house. My great grandma had died a couple months before, and a small tree from up at her house had been brought to my grandma's; according to Grandma I pointed next to the tree and asked why Memaw was standing there. I just can't remember an inch of this moment, but my grandma, aunt, and mom all said that I'd said that and that I must've seen her spirit or something.

I miss one option... the one saying "I've seen it, but I still don't believe in them." Because that is what I would choose.
Here's the thing I witnessed. I was working in the engine room of a ship, and one morning when I came down the Chief and First Engineer were discussing something. I find out that during the night all pumps and compressors had switched over and all of them were running, though the Chief Engineer had mad sure that they were all set to off/standby, so they figgured something was wrong...
Later that day I was walking from the Bow to the Stern when suddenly I saw something white sweeping around a corner, but when I reached it nothing was there. My first thought was that it was probably a deckhand... but then I realized that none of the deckhands (nor anyone else on the ship) was wearing white.
Some of you might say "That was probably a ghost or a spirit you saw", but I am a man of science, and unless it's proven I won't believe it.

Lol, Im pretty sure he wont just put your soul up to display, he tends to shove pitchforks into it and throw into the fires of hell. Its not Lucifer, but it is pretty bad since it can physically manifest. A trick of the light or a hallucination doesn't make sense in this case since more then one person saw it and...well...light cant really look like a demon. As far as some one fucking with us goes, I might have considered that if it wasnt for the actual physical effects that we have witnessed among other things. Also, praying and holding crosses seems to make it go away temporarily so Im pretty sure its a bit more....real then some of you guys think it is.

I Believe in them. My mum had a cat when I was little and it disappeared the day she died. And I SWORE up and down I saw it for weeks the night she died. Within 3 years after that 2 more people I was close to died. Every time the cat showed up in my dreams or what appeared to be an apparition at least 2 + hours before I found out people had died. Then I didn't see her until I was 15. When one of my friends got sandwiched into her car door by a drunk driver and died that way. I found out by calling around frantic sure someone was dead. I've seen her a few more times. And I am pretty sure I will see her before my uncles partner dies.
This cat was de-clawed but still managed to claw me when I was little. And seemed to only show up when my mom wanted it to. She used to call it her spirit animal. (My family practices a form of native American Shamanism). I to this day believe that she spoke the truth and that the cat was her spirit animal and has taken to breaking me bad news for her.

Jesheckah have you tried participating in any ceremonies to communicate with the cat or tried to make some communication with it while dreaming? It might have more to reveal to you than those who are dead or dying.

I have a few to share
When my dad lived in an apartment building he swore everyday he would feel warm when entering and at a window he saw an old woman staring out into the parade ground holding a worn bag and wearing an elegant gown. He finally worked up the courage to ask the landlady about it and he discovered that the apartment had once been an old widow's mansion and every year a circus would show up on her parade ground and put on shows for her, draining her funds until eventually she ran out of money and the circus stopped showing up. My dad says he never felt any illwill toward him when he saw her, he thought that maybe she enjoyed the company.
I myself have seen a few ghosts, the most recent at a tenement building where I think I saw a girl standing by a wall with her arms crossed as though she were leaning on something, when I asked the tourguide told me that before it was rebuilt there was a window in that spot. One of the families that lived there had three daughters whose father had disappeared while out looking for work during the depression in the 1870s. Before that I know that when I was young and occassionally now I get feelings when I touch objects, like there was a collar we found in the basement that when I picked it up I knew it had once belonged to a rabbit even though it could have been a small dog or a cat's. There was also a belt at a garage sale that felt like, for lack of a better term, pain. I think everyone gets feelings like that every once in a while.

My entire family has quite a few shares of ghostly encounters. At one of my grandparents places, there is this little girl ghost that comes around every once and a while. My grandma asked one of the neighbors and they told her that a little girl had drowned in a creek near her house.
There were two times that I can recall of her. Once when my stepgrandpa died of cancer. She appeared in front of my dad for only a second or two after his death but when my dad looked at her she was really sad for us. The other time was after his death. My parents and me went to visit my grandma but only my cousin was home that night. We talked to him for a good bit when we all noticed a big bright flash coming from this one hallway leading to my grandma's room. My dad, cousin, and me all went to the room but there was nothing there that could have caused the flash. Just a few minutes after we left, it turns out another flash had occured and this time the girl was in it and she was soaking wet. My cousin left the house and went to one of the neighbors after it happened.
There are alot more ghosts but I figured I would just name that one for now...

Lol heres another:
Back when my dad and his sisters and my great grandparents lived in Ohio there was an even more haunted place. My dad found an old catholic charm with the Virgin Mary on it. (It turned out that it is only placed at houses if a person either sees the Virgin Mary OR if the place is so haunted that it cannot be fully exercised of spirits) After my dad took it from its resting place the house went in full force on its haunting.
My dad told me of one time when he and my aunt Jenny were at the house alone. He said that the upstairs started to sound like there was stuff crashing everywhere and moving around and as if other people were in there. They started to get so scared that they called the police. When 2 cops got there they went straight upstairs and looked around. A few minutes later, one of them left the house in a run and didnt speak to anyone. The other came down a minute later and told them "I have no idea whats up there" then left. No one went up there the rest of teh night until my great grandparents got home.
And there are still more stories to come

Right after I joined the Army, I got sent to a recruiter station for my first "official" duty. While I was there, I was sent to an old fort to talk to some of the tourists. Well, my friend and I got drunk, and we decided to spend the night at the fort, because we had heard it was haunted. So we were sitting on the steps of the old Brig, and we heard Taps being played out of nowhere. To tell the truth, we booked it out of there. We went to the office the next morning to tell them the story, and after some investigating....
Well, now they turn the P.A. system off at night.

I tentatively voted "yes", but that is because I do believe that there are supernatural phenomena caused by intelligences unbound by physical bodies. I do not, however, think that they are the spirits of the dead; the dead await judgement, and when judgement comes (or if it already happens for every soul the moment they die), they will either go to heaven or hell. If heaven, they will not willingly leave. If hell, they cannot leave. And since angels do not decieve and masquerade as dead humans, I assume that demons are behind these supernatural activities.

My great-grandmother absolutely hated the song, "Grandma Got Runover by a Reindeer." Obviously this shouldn't much matter anymore, as she passed away when I was eightish, but it seems like every time the song starts playing at my grandma's house, whatever it's playing on stops working until the offending song stops. Example, the computer, Youtube (yes, Youtube sucks, but you will see my point in a second.), my gram's old record player, the radio, and CDplayer.
The radio, while it's in the style of old record players, has a digital radio dial so there's almost always zero static. However, whenever that song comes on, it starts flipping out like crazy, then goes right back to normal when it's over. The computer has a twitchy fit whenever it's played on a music player; the fan starts making weird noises, the CD drive really does open and shut for about a minute straight, and yet when the song is over, the comp's perfectly fine.
Youtube ends up flat out not working after the song.
My aunt's ipod refused to work after she put said song on it, despite the fact it was not a corrupted file and it had no viruses.
The record player starts shaking. A lot. Then we flip the record over and it works perfectly fine.
Yeah, you guys can tell me 'oh there's no ghosts,' but then tell me why every time Grandma Got Runover by a Reindeer plays on something in that house, it quits working?
