I'm actually going Mac FINALLY after many years of sitting ther thinking that I want to. Looking for a pro with the cinematic screen and it's finally more then a dream, I've been hoarding gold for a while now and I think i deserve it. I was always held back by the gaming point but now with PC's mass producing nothing of any speakable quality other then MMORPG's it's gotten to be a boring market and I figure what the heck. Besides the new macs can be dual booted. Take that PC's!

Anyways, I am a firm believer that all mac users are going straight to hell. It's not because Macs are bad machines, it's not because Steve Jobs is a bad man, but its because Mac users are all vain pricks. Taking a computer designed to be comfortable for a three year old, and then calling yourself...even thinking of yourself as chique, hip, or cool, should be a sin in it's own right. When that mac does break down and you don't have some repair shop in sight, then you're hosed, and all the PC users around you who know their machines inside and out will be laughing their balls off.

Plus, if macs were used in schools instead of PC's we would have a heck of a hard time teaching students how to program, or do anything useful in technical/accounting/management/hard science fields. If you really base your life off the POS scraps of music you mix and compose of that little power book of yours, than by all means please die and stop using my air. I have work to do.

Also, i just noticed that the picture has nothing to do with Macs, just the iPod, while all of the empty words are doing nothing but shamelessly promoting the computers. Just another sorry example of how mac users have no common sense whatsoever and fail miserably to use symbolism and popular icons to try to bash their competition.

At least in my area of the world... 90% of the comps in my High School and the surrounding area were some form of a Mac... I personally don't care for Mac's.... But an OS is an OS in my eyes... it's only as good as the user behind it... And remember folks... if Mac would have gotten huge rather then the PC's... The role would just be reversed PC's have no viruses and blah blah...

Personally I run Linux(Ubuntu, SUSE and I have Knoppix to mess with my Friends) and XP...

And I meant 'school' as in College for the most part. You dont get Microsofts .NET framework or any kind of decent SDK's on macs to do any meaningful work.

I shouldn't have been picky I'm currently in for Programming and yes I have yet to touch a Mac... though we could do Java on a Mac ZOMG.... The power....

My high school is chock-full of Macs, and the server has to go down at least once every 3 days for maintenence.

And y'know why Macs don't get a lot of viruses? because there aren't enough of them out there to spread efficiently...

Macs are only good for target practice. In shop class one of our projects was to build something using everything we had learned. 4 friends and I teamed up and built a hand-powered Smasher, which we used to pwn one of my friend's old Macs.

(Hand Powered Mac Smasher: Trebuchet style device that substitutes a sling for a big freakin hammer, and is powered by a small crank system. Sadly we had to leave it at school because nobody had a home for it.)

i myself use a pc, because im a gamer, and a pc is better for gaming

now when it comes to media editing and creation, i use a mac, because they are better for that

to me, this whole PC vs. Mac thing is like Hammer vs. Screwdriver...Both useful tools for different job

oh...and i find that anyone who is uber anti-mac just really doesnt know how to use one.

I haven't seen many people be like this in the thread... Of course doesn't mean theres no one doing what you mentioned... But you also have to remember most of the programs that Mac can run a PC can also... And vice versa minus the whole gaming catalog... The reason everyone assumes Mac's are better for the whole artsy stuff is because they are marketed for it and marketed very well. PC's are kept simple and not so shiny... Just my feelings...
