This made me and my mom take a moment of silence. He will be missed. The world has lost an amazing author.

Oh man... Gabriel Garcia Marquez are more than eigty years old... god damnit, stop making depressing topics!
I mean, hell, when Garry jennings died in 1999 I cried (I had just finished Aztec, so don't you dare judge me).

What?! Blast, all the good writers are passing on! I better go find Stephen King and beg him to stay and not get hit by any more cars.
And yes, I'm serious about that!
Same goes for Dean Koontz, not about the car thing at least but he could very well go off too.
Oh depression. *wallows in grief* I loved Andromeda Strain *movie one*, never read the book but now I will.

the book was good
the ending pissed me off though
but then most of his endings did
the man could write a book, but could never end it well

Pratchett too, and add in those who are already gone, Jordan, Adams, and the like. The world is a lot darker for their loss.
Just look at who went this year: Jordan, Carlin, Bernie Mac, and now Crichton, it's like, whats the point of us sticking around anymore?
