I was getting my eggs from the "abandoned" page at first, but I'm getting pretty good at grabbing eggs from the main cave before anyone else gets them.
There have been so many pink eggs lately, when one showed up in the main cave, nobody took it for at least ten seconds, which is by far the longest I've seen an egg last in there without being claimed.


Try getting your eggs at an off-peak time. Early morning may be a good time to try, but I don't know from experience, as I'm usually dead to the world when the sun rises.
They also had a huge egg drop at about 2:05 a.m., which I happened to catch. About 15 chicken eggs, dinosaur eggs, autumn eggs, "fog" eggs and a shitload of more pink eggs were dropped.

Gotta catch'em all? Ya, maybe, but this is way more fun doing it with friends (aka "those guys I met on the web") than sitting at home with your gameboy palying a game where even the most vile Big Bad will rather challenge you to a pokefight than shoot you with a gun.

Ok, I'm sitting at home... but still, it's fun. And Pokemon has a tendency to get more... dunno how to put it... First generation monsters were cool, second also, but after that they just got kinda ridiculous.

You can have a fifth if you breed.

Didn't they want to go near each other? or don't you have dragons of different genders? Like, only males. That can be fixed by obtaining a pink or a purple egg, they're always female. But if you only have females... too bad.

The thing about that, thought, is you can probably play against people online now with pokemon I'm sure. It's not like you just play it yourself. Well, yeah maybe first generation on gameboy. But this is 2008, everything is done over the internet.

tl;dr version:
It varies.
I aim for a total of 50 clicks, with about 2000 unique views and maybe 3500 total views.

Long version:
Let's get scientific about it:
I have 11 adult dragons. Seeing as they're still, you know, alive, I'll call them successes at raising dragons.
Adding up all the total views, unique views and clicks and dividing by 11 for an average gives me:

3129 total views per dragon. Lowest is 1848, highest is 4224.
2009 unique views per dragon. Lowest is 1065, highest is 2475.
39 clicks per dragon. Lowest is 13, highest is 60.

Aim to keep your total views to be two to four times as much as unique views. If you get ten times more total views than unique views, there's a good chance it'll die. That's how I lost my first two. You need to post the dragon somewhere where the exact same people aren't viewing it over and over and over, but you don't want it on a really busy site where it'll get a thousand views in just one day, either.
Don't rush it. Try to take at least four days for it to hatch, and another four days after that for it to grow up.

Once you've clicked on someone's dragon, you don't need to click that one again. You can only give it one click, unlike the Valenth pets. From what I understand, you can give them a click (or a strawberry tart, or whatever) once a day.

Right here on this forum (in your signature) seems to work well, but keep an eye on how fast the count rises. If it goes up too fast, they get soft shell/sick and die. Obviously, if you post a lot, you'll get views faster. I tend to leave them in my sig for a day, then take them out for a day, depending on how well they're progressing.

I named my white Felbunny. Had it been a male then I'd hae named it Cale, but no, it was a female .
Now I still need names for a female magi, a male red, a female grey. and a female blue... the genderless split got the name Cheez and burger^_^

In your scroll, click on the "actions" link for that hatchling, and the option to name it will be there.

They can only breed once a week gothie.

If they have holes in them, they will hatch quite soon indeed!

They're probably just doing some last-minute stuff in their shells; checking email, making sure the oven is turned off, watering the plants... that sort of thing. Dragonlings lead busy lives!

Either that or they are waiting for the next sap that clicks on them to put their finger int he hole. Mmm protein.
