The black alts are easy to tell apart (there are two black alt hatchlings, both grow up into the same alt adult). The hatchlings look very different from the regular black hatchling.
The vine alts are harder to tell apart. As far as I can tell, there's only a very slight difference in color between the two, so slight that I can't tell unless they're side by side. If I'm just looking at a single vine hatchling, I can't tell. Once they start to mature you can tell; the flower colors are yellow on the alt and red on the regular.
I know about the black alts- I have both Black Dragons. Thanks for the extra info, though.
Yeah, I know what you mean about the color. It's helpful to know about the color of the
flowers, though, as I didn't know that before (I thought you had to wait until a vine grew into an adult to tell whether it was an alt).

All clicked! Return the favor?
EDIT: New babies!

The orange one doesn't have long.
Also, I will be at camp from the 7th (tomorrow) through the 13th (Saturday). Would someone please babysit my little ones while I'm gone?
EDIT: Thank you very much, Devin Austra!

Eh, sure, why not?
It just makes me feel happy that you would help me without asking for something in return. I'm glad you're not one of those "what's in it for me?" types, and it reassures me, knowing that there are people like you in the world.

The two-headed hatchling should grow up without any more help.
Oh, I see. So, just time will raise it, eh? -is not entirely clear on why the dragons grow when they do-
