Yes.. i wasnt aware you had to approve topics before they were posted.

For people who have fewer than a certain number of posts, the system sees it as spam when anything with a link is posted. So we have to approve those manually...or not approve them as is often the case.

We lock them when they start breaking rules, are necro posted, or are going a direction they shouldn't be (that falls under breaking rules doesn't it?) The political thread was closed because simply, we don't have the manpower to moderate it 24/7 which it was going to need with the direction it was going. It was easier to play it safe than to swat everyone with 24 hour suspensions when they broke rules
