Aye. It seemed kinda pointless to me also ... unsure.gif

They passed by a hospital, and Richard wants to spent some "quality time" with the orphans, Phantom.
The Phantom
That's what I though. Maybe I was just hoping for...more? idk
Devin Austra
I agree.
Oh well, can't win 'em all. huh.gif

What's the plaque in panel 4 supposed to say? I think it's "Home for (something) and Orphans, but what's the word that starts with "Found-"?

Um no, read it again, they passed by the orphanage and Richard was wanting to stay at the Hospital for Old people who have no family
The Grag
I was thinking he was going to turn around and leave when he saw the sign, not stay there. But it could go either way.

either way, seems this comic feels more like filler instead of progression. Still, it's a good comic

The word is "foundlings" And while it wasn't as great as some of the other comics, sometimes it's better if the humor is low key.

It does feel like filler... dry.gif
nothingbroken
This is pointless. But cute. rolleyes.gif
Greenguy
Yes there was little plot development ... but I got quite the chuckle out of it ... it's like God dropped a present at Richard's feet
Palomina
The last institution is basically a combination of all the above - and it's nice how it says publicly that they have "no parents who love them" smile.gif

And I guess to Richard it's much less hassle to slaughter that hospital than running from one to the other.
DragonFlame87110
All I have to say is "You all saw it. That orphanage attacked me first!"
Rip Van Ishmael
Yay filler!

They must be pretty busy over there.

When was that wedding again?

Edit: Also, vol. 7 now has a cover.

HAH. Beatcha to it, Fro.

While its not one of the best ones out there, I still think its pretty good.
Got a chuckle out of me at least.

I seriously was thinking "Richard has gone soft!" for a minute there when he was just standing by the orphanage and not doing much else. At least he's not lost his old habits.

Hopefully, when they save the pirate, he can return or run past on his way out with a nice little fireball as a quick parting gift.
Not like anyone would miss them much, anyway.

Thanks. That's what I figured it was, but wasn't sure.

Wait....so Richard didn't slaughter the innocent women and children!? Instead he wanted to kill the ones no one would care about? blink.gif

Except this time it was a Hospital for Old Age people, with pets. Who have no parents who love them that attacked Richard ... um yeah rolleyes.gif

Anyway ... we must be entertaining we have a whole bunch of guests reading our chat

I dont understand it... they are in Legara no? Why all that happy ppl and peaceful hospitals? Legara is evil no?

No ... their leader is but Legara is just another regular kingdom

Hmm, I'm with the majority here on this one - not overly humorous but not too bad either. Took me a while to understand the joke too laugh.gif. One thing I did find kind of interesting though were the expressions and scene setup in the hospitals, they look exactly like they should (well, at least the way I remember them from the movies and TV shows).
CrystalSuicune
Hmm..filler comic with a bit of Richard-backstory bits,
not too great, not too shabby either. So yeah..

Richard --- Orphanage. Raised in and then adopted? Any background meanings? Or just a filler?

Thoughts on what the guy in the "Home for the Aged" is thinking?

He looks 85% evil. Atleast.
shadeofsound23
Interesting, but not enough to sate my appetite for more plot development/story time/destruction

May I politely inquire that the breadcrumbs lining the trail be larger and more filling?
Kelledin
Heh, I bet the reason we have so many guests watching this thread is due to the "WTF?" factor.

Of course, seeing Richard pass all these charity institutions (including one of those goddamn trigger-happy orphanages) without actually fwooming anything is funny...if you know Richard. The ironic thing is, he'd fit right in at the last place. Hey, he's old, he has a pet rabbit, and his parents (his father at least) reportedly didn't like him much at all. tongue.gif
Metalcommand
It's the perfect location for Richard to unlease his killing spree *Snif*, what a beautiful moment is this.

Hmm, I'm not sure. Just because he is looking at an orphanage in his panel doesn't necessarily imply that he is connected to that building in a way. The others are all looking at a building in their panel too and I don't see any connection between Cale and the hospital, Benny and the home for the aged etc.
EhudbenGera
The thing I didn't understand about this strip was the symbolism behind a different party member next to each different institution. At first, I thought it was some sort of ironic comparison about the party member's likes (Cale next to a hospital, since he likes helping people vs. Richard next to an orphanage since he likes killing them), but not only could I not figure out why Benny was associated with an old-folks home, the last two panels made no sense in this theory. I'm still trying to figure out if Richard wanted to kill all the people in the building they are looking at (the HFOAPWPBWHNPTLT), or if he wanted to go back to the orphanage for some "quality time."

Ok, so I'm clueless.
Cysgodi
I think each panel was supposed to have sentimental value for each character. Cale is happy because he sees people selflessly helping others in the Hospital. Benny is wistful because she sees the older couple at the old folks' home and is thinking about what she and Sayl could have had. Pella - apparently likes animals. Richard is fondly remembering his last encounter with an orphanage.

And then the last panel is a combination of all of those (and apparently too good of an opportunity for Richard to pass up wink.gif ).

Is it just me or do these people never go to a more mainstream place, like a market or a torture stand?

They visited a market in page 180, I remembered it because of those three little cowled creatures on a camel, they remind me of Star Wars.

Looked to me like they were just passing through and not really "visiting". Here, they actually seemed to stop and look at each of those places.

I get your point, they didn't really interact with the market or the people in it in any significant way (though the same could be said about the latest page). Still, the whole page was set there so you can't really say they never went to a marketplace -- only this time nothing much happened.

The guy in panel one who's pushing Kid Cancer looks like the guy in panel two, who's playing Chess with his back to us.

He looks an awful lot like Mirror Spock to me (pointy ears, beard, blue uniform, the works), which would make him both from Star Trek (TOS "Mirror Mirror") and 85% evil.

Dif-tor heh smusma, fellow Trekkies! LFG finally has a Star Trek reference!
Schnoodledorfer
Hmm, Cale didn't know about "How good of an idea could touching me really be?" Still, Richard is letting Cale get away with more and more.

It sure looked like two of the people working at the veterinarian's place were wearing blindfolds, rather than visors. That had me confused at first. I could see the eyes when I zoomed in, though. I still can't figure out what are the three brown tentacle-like things that seem to be coming from the horse's chest, though. Anyone know? I'm a little surprised the horse wasn't a unicorn, since this isn't a serious page. Did everyone notice the little dragon on the bird perch?

BTW, looking at the page zoomed in makes Pella's muscles actually scary. laugh.gif

TBH this reminds me of a debate we had during the chibi richard incident, where there was a genie-looking guy outside the window. So many theories we had...
