These are the rules of the forum, explanation of what each means as follows. Not knowing the rules is not an excuse. We will gently remind of the rules when you first break them. If you continue to persist in it, we will then warn you via the warning system and a PM explaining what is wrong and why you need to cease. After that it will be a 24-, 36-, 48-hours banning for each infringement, after the last one it will be perma-banned from the forums.

Spammers, get no second chance, they are automatically perma-banned.

The Rules

1) No bigoted remarks will be tolerated, be they racial, religious, or otherwise.
---This includes, but is not limited to making snide comments about Jews (as we've already nagged at people for), Religious comments, politics, or anything else that can be construed as insulting or bigotry. If you aren't sure, take the side of caution and just don't do it.

2) No nudity, be it in a linked picture, posted picture, linked website, or avatar.
--We will delete and warn immediately for any nudity. Posting a warning is not suitable either. Just don't do it.

3) No flaming, trolling, name calling, baiting, or harrasment.
Flaming, plain and simple is calling someone a moron, an idiot or name calling in general just because you have no better arguement than that. If you have nothing to say, don't say anything at all.

Trolling is looking for a fight and wording things or attacking people in a way so that you are considered a troll. Trolls are bad. Report them and do not feed them.

Baiting is similar to trolling except its doing things to where they'll respond or be upset and flame in return.

Ghis and I will edit your lovely posts into something sickingly sweet anytime you troll/flame/insult/harass. Just don't do it.

4) No SPAM. SPAM will be edited or deleted and promptly locked.

5. Signatures.
--Signature images need to be restricted to 600x125 pixels and less than 50k in size.
--You may have multiple images in signatures, however they cannot exceed the 125pixel height or the file size.
--Text signatures need to be a little more contained than they have been. translation, tone them down. Many of the signatures make up the majority of a post, which just isn't right. So tone them down. I'd like to keep to a maximum of 6ish lines. I'm not gonna be strict on it unless it doesn't change.

The biggest rule, however is this:

"Be nice or don't post. "

We're just all trying to enjoy ourselves, folks. Please make it enjoyable for everyone to be here.

If anyone ever needs to discuss a problem they have with these rules or anyone else, PLEASE feel free to contact Me or any of the Moderating Team - we're all here to help as best we can.

And please if something is full of links, don't click on them, just hit the "report" button and one of us will handle it ASAP.

Note: You can derail threads in here, but only in this forum. But flaming or trolling will get you in trouble

Second Note: We've mentioned it several times before, common sense says that if you've been corrected or think someone or something is doing something wrong, to PM the mods, not accuse openly in the forums. This is considered trolling and isn't constructive. It is never -wise- to tell the mods how to do their jobs in public.

Yeah! What she said!

In addition, since most new people haven't realized it from the number of threads we've locked when they do it,

Searching for old oldold posts that are 3+ months old and "ressurecting them" with a post is a no no.

The general rule is if they can be found within the first 2-3 pages of the forum, great, post in them. Finding something that is over 3 months old and "resurrecting" it just to get your post counts up will reward you with 24 hours of time off.

As of late, we've noticed a great rise in the derailment of topics, be it in the General area or the comic forum. As a reminder, derailment in the comic and News parts is strictly forbidden and results in the closing of the specific topic. In the general area, there is no such rule.

Here is where things take an interesting turn. People have been deliberately derailing topics to get them closed or to mock or degrade the actual subject of the topic. This attitude will not stand. PERIOD! we are now at a point where we must intervein to keep order. People responsible for derailment in the comics and news forums will get sanctionned according to the rules WITHOUT EXCEPTION. Also, anyone derailing any topic on purpouse in ANY area will also get sanctionned accordingly.

I try to keep a semblance of order here and I don't get paid for it. You guys are just making things hard on me and on the new people that try to come here and integrate themselves. Just give them a chance to have a decent conversation and have fun at the same time without having all sorts of confusing material chasing them away.

You have been warned. I will use the Hammer of Ghisly Justice™ profusely.

Folks, I've said this repeatedly in several locations, but apparently I have not made this clear enough yet.

So time for step by step guide on how to report spam.

Incorrect: PMing/IMing only Kayhynn.

Why? Because Kayhynn sometimes cannot log in to the forums, especially cannot log in to remove posts with porn in it from work. That would get me fired. Porn = bad. Boss very anti porn.

Correct: Follow these simple instructions.

The Report Button

At the bottom of every post, on the lef, there is a report button. See the two boxes below that are circled in red.

Click the button that's at the bottom of the post that is spam. Once clicked, it will give you an area to explain why you are reporting it.

This then sends a PM and an E-mail to each moderator and forum admin. You have a lot HIGHER probability of one of us getting to it quicker than taking a random stab in the dark and pming whoever you think will get to it faster. In addition to sending us this info, it provides a link directly to the post. So all we have to do is click, instead of lookign through posts trying to find the spam (for those of you that like to tell us, there's spam but don't tell us where, there's a lot of you)

I'm dead serious about this. I received an ungodly amount of PMs and IMs from folks saying "Kay there's porn spam on the forum, fix it" and only two people who took the time to hit report on every thread found so I could easily and quickly move them when I got home.

Please. Hit REPORT any time there's spam. Do not assume someone else has done it. Bad assumption. Do not just PM us with a vague "OMG spam fix plz" PM. That's not helpful.

Thanks for the consideration on this and following through!
