HELLS YEAH!!
We get some more carnage, fwoomage, and my theory that Benny is a mutant cross between a Troll and a Bloodrage is slightly and vaguely supported by the confirmation of her being a half-breed of some kind! xD

Let's see:
Benny does NOT kick Rojave's ass. So much for Badass Benny.
She's definitely a half breed.
Sayl was apparently loved by Rojave as well. Rojave looks kinda like a pale, bloated Ghost Rider in Shakespearean clothing in the second to last panel.
Pella does something useful!
Richard doesn't understand the question, since it's basically "Did you really have to do that?"
Yes, he did. He wouldn't be Richard, otherwise.
Then again, he was basically helping to save Benny's life, and saving is so NOT Richard that my head may asplode.

Yea, it's Pella's. She's used it
before.
Sooo....kinda disappointed, actually.
I was looking forward to Benny badassness, but all I get is Benny beatdowns. I mean, she's been up against hordes of trolls without so much as a flinch, yet gets taken down and wife-beaten (pun intended and appropriate) by this fat old guy?
Of course, this is the first time we've seen her pull out attack-mode instead of defense mode, so she might not have as much experience in that vein as she should. Maybe it was one of those 'blinded by anger' dealies, where she got so pissed off she forgot her best offense is defense.
Still pretty sad though.
As for the Cale/Richard punchline....that seemed really off. If Pella (first, maybe its that chick bonding thing) and Cale both immediately jumped to Benny's aid, why would Cale be annoyed with Richard when he does the same?
Then again, maybe Cale's caught on a bit more than we think and knew immediately that Richard didn't really do it to defend Benny, he just did it because everyone else was and he wanted to get in on the action.
Now I gotta wonder how Benny's gonna take being completely cowed in front of her groupmates...she's way too proud to not end up doing something stupid to prove she isn't a weak little girl.

Which is also completely and totally awesome.
So benny's really a half breed? Must be a troll and something else.. an elf, perhaps?
And, looks like Benny's staff is the source of her power. Without it, she can't last very long. Let's hope that she keeps the mace though, it's so cool!!!

Cale's probably annoyed that he bothered to incinerate the head of someone who's obviously already dead and just hasn't fallen down quite yet. Or it's a "Why didn't you do that

Richard wasn't really helping. He just used "Well, everyone else has thrown something at him" as an excuse to mutilate Rojave's freshly dead corpse.

I think it looks like Cale and Pella hit Rojave at the same time, given the way the 'Thud' is put in there, and how Cale's swords aren't moving in panel 11. We just saw Pella's first because he was facing us throughout the last couple of panels.

Just my two cents, Rojave was pretty much dead before the fwoosh. Richard didn't do anything to save her, he did it to make Rojave suffer just a little bit more before he breathed his last (coincidentally, his last breath was full of fiery pain).
And yes, yes it was necessary...

As for Benny getting overpowered so quickly, well it's obvious that it was a very emotional situation. She's not too good at those, and Rojave seemed to be angry enough to be granted superhuman strength. She's not gonna take it easily, that's for sure though. And I bet she'll now get cranky with the group telling them "Not a word of this to Krunch or else!"

Also, I am confused about this debate about what kind of a half-breed Benny is. She's got Orc in her, and she's a priest. 99%* sure she's a Half-Orc, being that this comic borrows from D&D almost as much as it's borrowed from WoW, etc.
*Note: 1% chance the other half is elf, simply because she has elfish ears. However, orcs and trolls do too, depending on the artist.

Well, she's blocked the fiery breath of dragons before (just after they first meet), while at the same time splitting her power into several (larger) shields than what we see here. And they lasted. This one disintegrated pretty quickly. Don't know if that supports the theory a little more.

I dunno, something about the situation makes me think that: Rojave met Benny before his son. His son fell for her. Rojave decided that it would be better for him or the guild if the lovers (one or both) met an untimely demise. It didn't go so well, and Benny survived.
It explains why he made the statement that "if [he had killed Benny earlier, his] heir might still be alive." Rojave had held back on his "better judgement" and let her live, thus allowing later events to come to pass.
I wonder how Gid is going to take it that no one listened to her "Rojave is mine" comment...
