Even though this is amazing, I'm crying right now.

I would have to agree with you on that...
I must say that was... unexpected at least blink.gif

I am madly in love.

I KNEW HE WAS WEARING BOXERS!!! I was right all along!! laugh.gif
Lunaya
And now, finally, we know the answer to that all-important question: Boxers or briefs?

Love the socks, Rich! rolleyes.gif

iloverichard
Dude!! Those are so hawt! I love how they're plaid biggrin.gif

At least Richard was wearing something under his robes.

Oh, dude, you just gave me a very scary vision! *lol*
Rip Van Ishmael
Whelp, there's that 'Marilyn Monroe Richard' we were talking about waaaaay back.

Now those of you who are just a little less scarred from this because of Rabies' Kilt/Speedo Richard must pay us both* undying homage.

For those of you who were unlucky enough to see that with virgin eyes, I laugh unmercifully at your plight and the impending psychiatric incarceration.

MWAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAAAA!!

*They were my idea after all....but Rabies provided the imagery. The horrible, horrible, wonderfully scarring imagery.
SilverKnight
Though I do love a good Marilyn Monroe gag and small tribute to Spaceballs (or Star Wars, it could go either way)...seriously, WTB [Plot Progression]. It seems like the story's starting to really drag and suffer due to all these visual jokes and gags. I mean, the plot's always come fairly slow, but it seems to have ground to a halt. Nothing truly relevant has happened in the past...what, eight pages or so?

I'm starting to get a little bored with it. Gags and all. Hopefully it'll pick up soon. smile.gif
MantaLord
*Snerk*
Mancow
That was... really unexpected...
Aeriosa
holy crap that was bad for my eyes!

but Richard has argyle socks!!! AWESOME
Rip Van Ishmael
*snaps* That's what they're called!

While all of you are focused on the Marilyn Monroe Richard, you forget the more vile thing in the comic! Look behind Richard (a little to the left...there you go!) THE MONKEY! We just went through a Wizard of Oz segment, and there's a monkey with a funny hat? Coincidence? I THINK NOT!
Necro

It's inconceivable, that's what it is. lol

I'm also liking the Jawaesque things in the background XD

It looks more like an Aladdin reference to me, along with the middle-eastern architecture of the Bazaar area (you could see in the last page that the city has a number of different sectors with different architectural influence.

Anyway, I agree with Silverknight about wanting to ge back to the story, but this page was freaking hilarious. I love the way he's considering it in the first panel.
RussianWitch
as mind scarring as it was disgustingly early in the morning at least Richard has nice legs tongue.gif
DarkKittie
More and more Feminine!Richard is appearing

I don't know why that's so appealing to me~ XD
Lord of the dance
What happenned to Pella's axe?
Wiseguy
So if anyone actually doubted that ILR was wierd... you can confirm her wierdness. Just look at her avatar for christs sake!

I love the look on Cale's face. I have the feeling that's going to give him nightmares. blink.gif
Carebear
He is more likely to be accepted by Sunny Hills.
ryannayr417
Sorry Rip but I had been to Rule 34.com loooong before coming here, if anything I owe them my sanity. Also, how has Rabies not drawn this before??
Ewald
I found the Jawas quite nice. No one else noticed them?

Reminds me of the Jawas from the Star Wars comic "Jawa Force".
Chuint
Either way, I do have to thank Rip and rabies. XD

I was able to do more laughing without having to stare for as long. Had less shock and more lol value this way. *absolutely loving this page* biggrin.gif

His pants seem almost different though, y'know, from when we saw a little of them during his 'Lord of the Dance' moment so long ago.

Edit:
Anyone notice the munchkin leading the bull away from the fruit stand in the first panel?
timemonkey
Way to horrify the masses, Richard!

And they've made it to the city! Once again the plot continues but such progress is completely ignored by those bitching about lack of plot development. Remember folks, half of a plot is actually getting there and they've been doing that since the story started. My guess is three strips at most before something significant characterwise happens.
Canarith
Ok, so I have been an LFG fan for several months now, ever since a friend recommended it to me. Since I have read every page and have even ventured into the forums several times to see what others are saying, but I have never registered or posted.

Today I can hold my silence no more:

OMG WTF LOL!

There, I said it and I feel most would agree.

Awesome comic by the way.

No it isn't.

Not even Tolkien takes so much time describing uneventful travel, not unless you read a page every couple of days.

Face it, the plot hasn't progressed in weeks.
Natan
Heh. well...that was disturbing. Heh.
I feel like my sanity has shattered. Thats Richard for you ^^ heh.

On a side note. Pella looks awesome with that look on her face xD

I have to agree....Im a Richard fan till the very end, but everything must move forward and gags are meant to be, well, just gags. However every page lately seems to be just about setting up for a joke. I have faith though that the next page will give us what we want. Keep up the great work, just remember balance young grasshopper.

Heh. Blatant fanservice for those who weren't into the pillow fight. Pella and Benny being alive was probably a turn-off for some of the people around here. cool.gif

Not much plot? Well, at least they have a quest / goal. Something more reasonable than overthrowing the entire government.

Yeah, but I think it's more than just Aladdin. That's a stereotypical Northern African bazaar with fantasy stuff added to it. You've got the blue elf wearing a veil and a guy selling Persian rugs in there too. A monkey wearing a fez supposedly helping the vendor was a typical part of it. Besides, this monkey didn't seem to have wings. The Wizard of Oz flying monkeys were copied from the bazaar monkeys. Or copied from the organ grinder monkeys that were copied from the bazaar monkeys.

Hmm. Richard could probably give "organ grinder monkey" a new meaning.
Eternal wanderer
Okay. Benny once told Cale that Tim and Sooba should be left at the gates, since they would stand out to much.
What a load of crock. The inhabitants of the city stick out like a sore thumb, and one in panel one, one of the characters is even keeping a lizard-like dog on a leash. Something tells me that even Tim and Sooba won't stand out.

Other than that, I'm really hoping for some plot-development. The gags were fun at first, but to much of a good thing...

Oh my god the horror the horror THE HORROR

/drink [bleach]
/drink [drain cleaner]
Phew.

Also, Jawas.

Plot-wise (though it's strange I can even think about something else than... the horror...[drain cleaner][drain cleaner][drain cleaner]): I imagined Legara won't be so cosmopolitan. So it's an empire instead of a nazi-like dictatorship I thought it to be.
Schnoodledorfer
I'd bet that a lot fans of Badass Richard are having the same reaction today. laugh.gif

Legara is a garrison town that expanded and became the center of a kingdom. I don't think anyone is sure exactly what Temmet is yet; he seems to be some sort of power behind the throne. Maybe it's because he controls the military and the king is weak. I just guessing that you got the idea it is a dictatorship from him.

Or maybe Richard was a schoolgirl?

I thought the pattern was just associated with a Scottish clan originally and then argyle socks became a fashionable way for guys to say, "I am a snobby twit." cool.gif
