So I see people are excited for Watchmen, but I'm not gonna lie, I want The Spirit more than any other movie I've seen this year.
Who else is excited?

I'm exicted, but it's possibly for unrelated reasons.

That actually sparked my interest more than the Watchmen. I love Frank Miller stuff tho

In difference to the Watchmen, I have yet to read The Spirit, so I'll just have to trust Frank Miller on this one.

I really don't know much about The Spirit, I'm afraid. I'm all thrilled about
Watchmen. I've been waiting many years for that movie.

Yeah. I really don't know anything about "The Spirit" either to have any opinion about it.

All I know is that it was a serial back in the 40's, and he had this little black-face caricature for a sidekick. And apparently everyone in his universe is retarded because all he does is add a Robin mask and everyone is like "who could it be?". At least Marvel superheroes have the decency to wear full masks.

And here's me, who doesn't watch movies in justifiable fear that they will ruin whatever threy're about. May reconsider tho.

The Batman movies sure as hell didn't ruin the material. They made Batman popular again. At least, the one's directed by Burton and Nolan. The one with Kilmer wasn't bad either. Bob Kane himself called Kilmer "The perfect Batman."

I thought the preview looked a bit too much like Sin City for my tastes. It doesn't look bad. Just probably not something I'll see opening night.
Then again, all I'm basing this off of is the preview. I know nothing of the comic.

See I enjoyed Sin City and 300, so I will watch this too in the end.

I enjoyed Sin City, too. I'm just saying that's what it reminded me of.
And I didn't see Sin City or 300 in theatres. So, maybe there's a trend here.

The Spirit was started before Dick Tracy I believe.
