I wanted to recommend to all you guys and gals the Horus Heresy series (novel). If you have already started reading this great series I wanted to know your opinions on it so far. Yes a couple of the novels have been a bit weak in adding to the overall story arc (Descent of Angels, Battle for the Abyss) But I think it has been a great collaboration by writers such as Dan Abnett, Graham Mcneill, Ben Counter and James Swallow.

You can't just take them novel by novel, but as a series as a whole. While they do explain what happened during the heresy, the branching novels off the main storyline give us an important look into the minds of such men as Fulgrim, The Lion, Luther, Alpharius, Omegon.

Hey don't get me wrong I thought it was good that they didn't just focus on the main heresy itself. I think Dark Angels are awesome and it was great to find out about Caliban before the Emperor came and found his son the Lion. Also Legion was a great novel, and I can't wait for Mechanicum to come out which should be a great read.

I want them to get to the siege of Terra and the death of Horus and the Emperor. I also want to find out exactly how worship of the Emperor became matter-of-course for the people of the Imperium.

Hell yeah I want to find out about the siege of Terra, the Dies Irae breaking open the walls of the palace, the Emperor's fight with Horus and the Emperor being entombed on the golden throne. And the way I see the Imperial cult becoming the defining religion and worship in the Imperium is that many were shaken with the heresy and needed something to guide them.

It's funny how the chaos gods showed the future to Horus and tricking him to follow down the path of chaos.

He willingly embraced it though. Yes, they did deceive him, but they revealed the truth before he fully turned. They told him, "fight for us against the emperor or die." He was pretty much a coward.

All because of those damned Word Bearers (damn you Lorgar!!!!!)

I want to see Nathaniel Garro again. He was my favourite character. I hope they show him forming the inquisition; maybe Black Library will do another series of Heresy related novels

Maybe possibly. It all depends on how well these did.

First three were easily the best as the fallowed similar/same characters (not that the others failed because of the shift from this at all.) However, if i could throw in my two sense, Fulgrum sucked ass, i mean it was basically book 3 retold with really no insight improvements.

I enjoyed how it told the story of the actual fall. The insight into th different aspects of Chaos that corrupted them caught my attention quite well.
