Alright, this is my first topic ever to be in the general discussion forum. Thing is, the game looks good. Although, there are some flaws. Guns. Why in the hell would they involve guns?! The game looks great, it may even have a good story. I have issues, though, with guns being in a fantasy game. I like swords and the medieval weaponry, the medieval clothing. Only because it is more exciting than flying through space with more protection. I like the epic danger. Star Wars, though, was a one-of-a-kind Sci-Fi story with epic awesomeness. Other than that, you got more excitement in fantasy, in a world where technology could never put a shadow over steel and magic.
Back on topic.... Fable II, I hope, lives up to the first one. I want to see some type of epicness that overshadows the bloody guns. I recommend to use plenty of will to catch foes aflame and decapitate heads with the genuine enchanted steel of your blades '>.>
Now... Talk about Fable II!

I actually enjoy the whole guns aspect. And the kids aspect. Kinda messed up that you put them in an orphanage if you divorce your spouse or they die, though.

lol. Use the Richard idea and burn down the orphanage, saying that they attacked you

Also, what was the main idea behind the whole gun aspect? I think it kinda screws up the fantasy.

It's several hundred ears after the original Fable. Technology advances. Just like you found pistols and rifles alongside swords towards the end of the medieval era.

Yea, I know. I am disappointed, though, that they did that so quickly. I was praying for it to be Forgotten Realms where there are no guns.

The abrupt change, though, kinda shakes me. I just hope it's good.

I say we should just wait and see how they play out.

Cause it may be the most kick-ass fighting system ever. We just won't know until it comes out.

True. I'm looking forward to it, anyway. I just hope this game doesn't disappoint me. Sequels always seem to disappoint me :/

It's been in production long enough. It should be pretty good.

so was the first game though, and lets not forget how disappointingly short it was.

I didn't mind the shortness of it. I still enjoyed the story and the combat.

Did you do everything in it though? every time? all those side quests take time.

Why wouldn't they?
This was, I always felt, a massive flaw in the basic thinking that goes into a fantasy world. Unless magic is available to all (and it usually isn't) then the people without magic would be at a disadvantage when it comes to a fight. Humans being humans, this would result in mageocracies. Necessity being the mother of all invention, guns would have been developed a lot quicker if some people could launch fireballs from their hands and everybody else couldn't.
I'm tired of the idea of a "fantasy" world is almost always devoid of technology. Then again, I am a fan of steampunk settings. Part of why I enjoyed Warhammer so much when I first got into it.

I think guns will add a fantastic new element into the game, giving you a chance to mix and match your character a lot more then the first time around.

True, adds more fun... Although, I still don't approve of it. It won't stop me, though, from playing it

Considering that it is intensely unlikely that the guns will be as powerful as either the swords or the spells (invariably, pieces of metal fired at incredibly high speeds do less damage than a glorified knife in every game), I don't know why people are complaining.
It'll be like the first Fable. There will be one and only one ranged weapon worth getting. Said ranged weapon will probably only be useful for a short period of time after you get it (following normal game progression) and then it'll become more useful to rely on a combination of sword and spell.

Both Fable and Black and White are based off dealing with a heroic/godly task when technology progresses. Oh you can throw fireballs at my city? Well, I can throw nukes.

I'll throw a nuke at someone's city.

Been playing the pub games on live. When Fable II comes out, I will have to start a crime wave just to pay my tab.
