I've never really wandered onto these forums before, but this seemed like the place to check, and I was quite surprised to find nothing about the upcoming Watchmen movie in the first two pages here. I may have missed it, but I don't think so...

So...Watchmen. I'm guessing the movie will be really dark, really intense, really good, and won't live up to the book at all.

I think someone brought it up some time ago.. but I'm not entirely sure.

I agree with your sentiments on how it will be, most probably a kick-ass movie in the sense that V for Vendeta was a kick-ass movie, but also changed from the original comic/graphic novel.

I just don't know how they're going to pull off soe of the characters in thier true bad-assness. Like Sandman

I would sell my soul for a really good adaptation of The Sandman, seriously, any takers?

An adaptation of The Sandman at least on-par with The Dark Knight, and some cookies.

The trailer looked pretty true to the graphic novel, so I'm not giving up hope yet. It is pretty, though, and regardless of how true it is, I'll probably enjoy it.

Whenever I see the Watchmen trailer I touch myself-

I think it will have a good telling of a part of the book but it could not possibly hold the whole story in the few hours of the film.

Knowing hollywood, they'll cut out all the good parts.

I like explaining things. Saying "I'm just meh" doesn't really work for me.

I don't think there's enough material in the books to produce a trilogy, but I think two movies is possible--- and would be a good way to stay true to the story by keeping as much in it from the book as possible.

But if the first one is successful, we'll see like 80 movies that are direct to DVD.

But if there are 80 of them, one will probably be good, right?

I am SO looking forward to the Watchmen movie. It'll be hard to live up to the amazing graphic novel, but the trailers did seem quite promising.
