Blazing Swords made a bad movies thread, and Rae Rae made on on the Dark Knight (Awesome movie by the way). So I decided to make this because....
I went to the movies tonight. Now I normally enjoy horror movies, blood/gore, suspense/thriller, mystery, and action. I enjoy a good comedy from time to time, but they don't make movies funny like they used to. Well...
Tonight I saw Pineapple Express. I think I damn near pissed my pants at its pure ingenious humor. The story line was just epic in my opinion. Yes it actually had a small one. I highly recommend it. It was nicely done, and I'd see it over and over given the opportunity.

I'm not in the mood for a heavy speech.....So I'll just say The Dark Knight, and Iron Man. Everyone else can say why.

I was lazy to retype everything I said in the bad movie thread, so I just compied it all in here.
There's a group of astronauts on their way to mars, when they land, they go examine the "Face of Mars" when they suddenly hear a strange music.
At that point they aim their radar gun(?) at the face, and try to figure out what's inside.
Then a huge sand storm pops out of nowhere, kills 3 of the 4 team members and they lose contact with earth.
Several months later, a rescue mission is organized, long story short, the rocket blows up, they end up landing using the satelite trhat was orbiting mars for reasons unknown, and off they go to search for the survivor of the research party.
Soon they discover what happened, and then he tells them that the sound was actually designed to transmit a 3d sketch of the human DNA(missing a pair of atoms), the survivor then tells them that it's actually a riddle and tells them that the once who want to enter the face are supposed to complete the sequence if they wish to gain entrance.
So, using an unknown method, they manage to crack the musical code and know which notes to play for the face next time.
They then send a robot with the radar gun, and fire at the face.
This time however, there is no sandstorm, instead, a door opens in the side, and they enter.
Inside, they meet the last surviving member of a species that long left mars(Or at least, it's hologram)
It shows them that while the rest of her race(I don't know why, but I've deduced it was a female) left for a new home outside our solar system, she statyed behind and crashed her ship into the Earth's oceans, thus creating life.
After that, the floor changes to show giant white hoops that are rotating(a binary countdown) and the hologram fades out, leaving them thinking about wheter to go on the ship or not.
One of them stays behind, while the others go for the ship.
When he boards the alien ship, it starts filling with a strange liquid(Probably some kind of stasis) and right before it launches, his entire life flashes before him.
We then cut to the rescue ship, they launch and leave the surface of mars, right before a giant sand storm gets there(Which would make them unable to leave if they would have been struck by the storm)
Once in orbit, a fast, rotating object flies right next to them, heading to the same nebula the martians went to, all those aeons ago.
Then one of them says:"Good luck [insert name here]"(Yes, I did forget the name of the lead character)
In shrt, it was one of the best movies I've ever seen.
If anyone watched this movie, would you mind reminding me of it's name?

I'm waiting on The Spirit, I've read a few of the comics and they tell a good story.
If I could think of a good Hal Jordan I would say I would like to see a Green Lantern movie.

You want a good movie? I'll give you an amazing one. It's so hilarious that during parts of it we (the audience) couldn't stop laughing so we'd miss the next line or two. It was so amazing i'm going to see it again when it actually comes out. It was 10000x better than I thought it would be from the trailers.
Tropic Thunder.
I got to see it in an advance screening for free while down at Otakon and my god it's too hilarious. I hope all of you people who look at it and go "meh" or "I just want to see it for Robert Downey Junior" GO SEE IT. Everyone else plays their parts so well, it's just pure win.

In no particular order:
Iron Man
Pirates of the Caribbean (yes, all of them - though 2 and 3 could have been one film, really)
Princess Bride
King Kong (1931. Forget the remake.)
Seven Samurai
Spider Man 1 and 2 (the third was not as good. hoping they learned their mistakes when they come out with the 4th movie)
Terminator (just the first one and maybe the second - forget the sequels and spin-off series)
Highlander (only the first movie. will not see the sequels.)
Star Wars IV (ie. only the first movie)
Pokemon (first three movies... why are you looking at me like that?)
Iron Man
North by Northwest
The Matrix (only the first movie)
The Island
True Lies
Eraser
Transformers (2007)
Blade Runner
Cloverfield
Iron Man
There are others I'd recommend I'll add them later.
Edit: How did I miss these? The first three Indiana Jones, the first Jaws
