Petition?
I LOVE the comic, but I get annoyed at the lack of new pages. The suspense is just annoying; it adds zip to the experience, as far as I'm concerned.

If you want them to dedicate more time to LFG, buy LFG merchandise. Its as simple as that.

Well, considering the fact that I have and will continue to, and that other comics start from the ground up with three updates a week, it looks like they'd start updating more.

Good thing.
Now I don't want to talk for SohLar, but I think I read something about upgrading to 3/week sometime soon in one of the news posts.

One post said they would upgrade to 3/week if the book sales hit a certain level and suggested requesting it from local stores.
Some webcomics start from one a week.

Either you're kidding, or you don't know about the *other* webcomic Sohmer and Lar do - updated 6 times a week. Just in case, check: www.licd.com God knows how they do it! And I know, too - Lar's in front of his computer about 10 hours a day or more.

The poor guys need to rest sometime!
Between updating LICD and LFG Im surprised the pages look as good as they do! Youve gotta have some real god-like powers (or a LOT of Red Bull, more likely both) to do that and make it look so damn good!
Be thankful we even get two updates per week. XD

Uuuugh, I don't think so, seeing as they could just use long/mid range weapons, like what is commonly called ninja stars to kill.
I
do know it does not keep you from getting killed in D&D. One of my characters was fire immune, so I lit myself on fire (in the name of Richard) and strode into town. Turns out the townspeople were possesed by demons, and therefore did not fear fire. I had been attempting to act as a distraction, but instead I got a wide range of pointed and blunt objects stuck in me. Ho hum.
And as far as the "we need more comics a week" thing... you deserve the ninjas. A lot.

I'm perfectly happy with two updates a week, myself.
One, it gives us plenty of time to discuss each comic. We might see something in today's comic that refers to something in a past page that we'll want to discuss for longer than a day. Some folks get great ideas for fanfictions, demotivators or fanart through these discussions. If it updates every day, the previous pages fall to the wayside once the new page is up and the discussion usually dies, often before we get to the really good stuff.
Two, instead of some little bitty four panel black and white sketch, we get a large page, very well drawn and colored and full of content. Speaks for itself. LFG crams more content into two updates than a lot of other webcomics fit into seven.
Three, I'd say we get a better quality story this way. I see a lot of comics that update more often than twice a week that are just plain crappy - they'll put up lame jokes, overused one-liners, their own fanart, even recipes or pictures of their pets (
Clan of the Cats is horribly guilty of this last one) - anything just to be updating on schedule.
Quality over quantity.

I don't. I've never heard of nor seen this comic.
I much, much prefer this comic to that(which I just read from the beginning). LFG is just... original and refreshing. I like it due to the fact that it has a nice, involved plot, but two pages a week is like watching 15 minutes of a film every other day. It's almost not even worth it, no matter how good the film is.
I'm just anxious for situation/character development in this great story.

I saw someone here mention that LICD is updated 6 times a week and compared it to LFG.
These next few lines are dedicated to those people(And also, to those that ask for more frequent updates)
Each strip of LFG is probably 4 or 5 times as long as a single strip of LICD.
It also requires alot more work.
Unline LICD where the writer could just bribe the readers with a half naked Issa if he doesn't wish to work(Or do one of those random strips), LFG requires a serious plot and storyline.
And even though sometimes LFG does get a bit random, we're all still here, right?

Legendaryratboy

the Issa pic was from an artist that did LICD before Lar.
Rip Van Ishmael
Aug 4 2008, 04:05 AM
Sohmer writes LFG and LICD, Lar draws LFG and later versions of LICD. Sohmer went through a few different artists for LICD before settling on a god of equal godliness. LFG was started after Lar started drawing LICD.

Those are all from the reign of the artist before Lar. After he (Lar) took over, the only filler I've seen was when Sohmer's cat died (and I'm not even sure that counts). Take your accusations elsewhere, kiddo.

I second that. Creating a comic is no small task and LFG isn't a three-panel, black-and-white affair.
