Long story short, I was browsing a World of Warcraft fan site and stumbled upon an ad for this...

Are the great, almighty Sohmer and Lar now selling addon guides, or is this some mischievous plot to take over the LFG world? Perhaps some viral advertising on the comic's part? All I know is that I am thoroughly confused, and possibly, ever-so-slightly, paranoid.

LFG was originally supposed to be a WoW comic, but as soon as they started doing it SohLar said fuck that and ran off with the premise.

That was an early result of the whole 'WoW-themed' thing.

There's also an animated short out there featuring an early version of Richard buying different versions of himself from a WoW account site.

They needed money, so they made all kinds of little advertisement stuff. Since they got practice for the future videos, I think these things are a positive thing overall.

I saw that book in a bookstore a little while back. I considered picking it up, then I saw the price of the book itself. Just more than I could justify spending. I love LFG, but not enough to buy a $50.00 book just for the cover.
