Congratulations on picking your major!

I'll be starting my Freshman year this fall, and I'm still not sure what field I want to go into. You've gotten past a good-sized hurdle!

Have a drink on me!
Except I can't buy, so... I dunno.

Dont worry about picking a major, just take your core classes, and some electives that seem fun/ or intersting to you..

The rest will fall into place.. well atleast, it did for me.

Good luck Rae Rae. ;P try not to party to much, or you'll spend most of the summer making up for it ;P haha trust me. tongue.gif

It's good that you at least know what you want to start out with. The worst thing to do is start college as undecided and waste money doing pretty much nothing but learning stuff you're probably not going to need when you get a job in whatever field you finally get into.
Legendaryratboy
Well although taking core classes is pretty much unavoidable and you don't need to declare a major to fulfill that requirement, it's best to know what you want to study, because you can fulfill both core and major requirements at the same time, and leave some space for interesting electives.

And because some colleges, the core requirements for the degree may be different.

Example, I know for my stupid degree, I was required to take a science class with a lab....and on my previous degree it was just ascience class.
Legendaryratboy
true, for engineering you need a lab, as well as more credit hours of math in your core.
Raven 2552
I'm so glad I got out of engineering.
Legendaryratboy
Don't diss my career, I'll mess you up.
Raven 2552
Bring it on boy. *Flexes* Now it is time for some good old-fashioned army ass-whupping.
