i'm looking for a new paintball pistol (actually pistol, not a shortened .68 cal paintball gun with a cartrige in it) similar to what i already have:
http://rap4.com/paintball/os/reseller.php/cPath/21_158_352except i'm looking for a colt 1911. has anyone seen anything like it around (.43 cal paintball). the one i have it reliable but i prefere the 1911 over the p99. if i can't find one i may just end up making one myself.

From personal experience with Paintball pistols, you will probably never use it unless you will only use the pistol itself. And when shooting someone its very hard to tell if you got hit or not by the little pee shooter. My suggestion to you, it to either put that money in upgrades for your Paintball gun or buy a different one entirely.

the one i have, you know when you've been shot. sure it's mostly novelty but it does the job if i need it.

i've never played paintball. it makes me sad. i also think i'd cry if i was hit, but i'm still sad i've never played.

I've never played Paintball either, though I have really wanted. However, I'll just have to settle for LAZOR TAG! PEW PEW PEW!

thats what i thought, and honestly, laser tag is too exploitable. i mean, if you hit someone with a painball, you can tell. if someone covers up their chest in laser tag, LOL YOU LOSE. /shrug, i hate cheaters, generally cause i don't cheat, even if they do.

You mean Home Lazer tag, right? When you do it a a Lazer Tag Arena there are sensors on your front, back, shoulders, and gun; Therfore causing such a feat to be impossible.
In short, Home Lazer Tag is crap.

I've played paintball many times before, but not enough to actually buy my own (also, a friend of mine had like 5 spare guns so...), I preffer to play in the woods than in an arena, but that's just me.

on prom night i played laser tag with a bunch of friends after dinner, and before the dance. it had sensors on the gun and chest i think....maybe the back. shoulders would be cool too, i must admit. i always thought a piece of headgear would be nice too...i mean, come on, headshot anyone?

hell yeah. and if you shoot them in the head a bunch of the times in a row, it can yell the things in its sexy voice! "double kill, triple kill....." i can't remember the others up until 7 kills +, "HOLY SHIT!" i loved finding a way to play a ton of bots, then kill them in a row, and it'd be like, "HO-HO-HO-HO-HO-HO-HOLY-HO-HOLY SHIT!!!!!!!!" all with the "sexy voice" selected so it sounded like a girl moaning. lul.

I preffer the classic UT voice, and my all time favorite will always be "M-M-M-M-M-M-MONSTER KILL!"

i believe in general discussion derailing is allowed...as long as you're not purposely going to every topic and derailing just to ruin the topic or up your post count. at least we're still talking about shooting people.
P.S. do paintballs actually hurt? lets say in a scale of normal titty twisters. i can generally stand a painful titty twister if i don't know its coming, but i want to show them they're retarded and that doing it to me won't make me scream out in pain.

It hurts, but not so much that you can't stand it... otherwise nobody would play...
Also, it depends on where you're getting shot, bring a cup by the way.

From what I hear, if you've got padding on, it stings like crazy but it's bearable. Getting shot without the padding hurts a helluva lot more, and leaves a mark that takes a week or three to go away.

paintball is great, played it like 15 times here in the Netherlands in the woods! Great!

woodsball is fun. My friends and I tend to play a slightly ruff version of woodsball. Recommendation, don't get too close to the short fat guy. I came too 5 minutes after the match was over.

Still to answer Templar's question since it was so rudely derailed (In a sense).
I looked around and your gun is just perfect at the moment. There are some better pistols out there but not really worth the cash for slightly better features.
Your gun is just fine, use that cash on upgrades for that pistol, paintballs, gas, or CO2 refills.

I actually use my pistol quite a bit in scenario games. But me and my friends play kind of hard-core. We don't have any rules. Basically you can shoot your opponent from any distance, or even get into fist fights. My pistol is normally used for CQC, because it's a lot easier to get a pistol leveled then it is a rifle in assault config with stock. That may just be my Army training talking though.
