When do you think Dranei will appear in LFG? or if they will appear at all?

I think it'd be cool if out heros in LFG suddenly saw a Dranei ship crash.

also for reference, heres a List of all the races that have not appeared in LFG[…yet?]:
For sure:
Dranei
Night elf
Might have not appeared:
Orc

This isn't wow, he could take new races from a variety of other sources. Personally, I'm hoping for DnD nightwalkers and Eldar/Necron from 40k (Though obivously lower tech).

I like Dranei to clean out clogs in our kitchen sink. Oh wait.... what?

Good one.

I am actually amazed that there are still people who haven't caught on to the fact that LFG is not WoW. You'd think that a huge, hidden city called Kethenecia, a race of elves called the Vulii, a sisterhood of bald female mages and ALMOST EVERYTHING ELSE in the story should serve as clues to the fact that Looking For Group takes place in its own, unique universe.
Vegos
Well that's one downside of Blizzard's great work. They caused a crwed of non-fantasy geeks to become wannabe fantasy geeks and flod the true fantasy geek territory.

WoW is a great game, but anyone who think WoW is all there is to fantasy role playing, deserves to be bound and gagged and forced to watch Jerry Springer 7 days without any sleep.
RyuJin
You know whats worse that some one thinking LFG is based on wow?
Thats right, its the freaking fools who cant see whats in front of them.
LFG Has alot of parts based on wow.
But Im sure your too busy nit picking others to see the small hints that are dropped

Now do Richard the favor hunting you down to melt your face, gather in a group and chant.
"Im so oblivious I deserve this"

Im not one who hops on a forum randomly to put down others, but I have observed some posts and im sick and tired of seeing other forum members get put down for having wow based questions.
I see people ask.

(Some Guys Name Here)
Hey how can I create a Richard on Wow?

And your response is?

(Obsessed Individualists Name Here)
WTF MATE?!?!LFG IS NOT FREAKING WOW YOU TROLL NUBE!!!!!!! YOUR STOOPID LFG IS NOTHING LIKE WOW!!!!!
*Note the misspelling of noob in post amongst other things.*

Now see why Im pissed?

Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn about your righteous fury.

Yes, there are quite some WoW references. But then again, there are quite some other references but I didn't see anyone go D&D crazy over them. I mean, calling Cale a "hunter"...WHY? Why not ranger? Rangers existed in D&D universe long before WoW even existed. You know why? Because many certain people only know the WoW fantasy universe and can't be bothered to learn that there's way more fantasy-related stuff, and therefore act in a moronic "If it's fantasy, it must be WoW" attitude.

Also, after having the authors themselves state that this is not, in fact, a WoW based comic, people who barge in here eith their first post saying "this is wow", either explicitly or implied, really clip my begonias.

Plus, I'm a bastard and I WILL put down anyone who makes themselves putdownable.

And another thing: respect is not a right, it's an earned privilege.

People who learn are OK. Those are newbies. People who refuse to see it from a different perspective aren't OK. Those are n00bs.

I never said LFG doesn't have a trace of WoW in it, I know very well that Sohmer has taken some amount of inspiration from that game. But, please note, he has also taken inspiration from other games, movies, comics and about a million, billion different books. My point, if you will hear it, say thankee-sai, is that LFG is not WoW. It isn't. I'm not trying to put anyone down or insult anyone or bash any noobs, but when someone creates a topic asking when we think races that are exclusive to Warcraft (such as the Dranei, I've never heard of them outside a Warcraft context, anyway), I get a tad bit irritated.
The creator of this topic says he would like to see our heroes witness a Dranei ship crash, whatever that means. This leads me to the conclusion that he has read LFG for a while, possibly the entire archive, and that he should have realized that the WoW races that appear in LFG are races that appear in all kinds of fantasy. Orcs, trolls, undead, elves, dwarves, humans, spirtits, elementals, demons, beastfolk... They're everywhere, they're public property. J.R.R Tolkien, man! Think about it.

Now, I'm not a World of Warcraft player so I haven't been able to pick up on many of the WoW jokes. That one loading screen, of course, and the "putting points into delusion skill" (which may refer to almost any MMORPG or RPG) and Richard saying "ding" when he killed all the trolls. I'm sure there are others, too, such as Richard's "Oblivion awaits" which may or may not be a quote from Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne character Anub'arak. I don't know.

Uh, now then, putting points in skills is not WoW exclusive...

Well this aint Wow, but a Draenei like race would be fun.
Also a night elf parody already exists, our good old, Vraay.

Yes, part of this comic is based on WoW. No argument there.
But the "obsessed individualist's" statement is a pure stereotype, and that could be a LFG forumite, or a WoW-fanboy/girl.
Please try to think there are two sides to one coin.

Oh I did, but I misunderstood it there. Must be because I had to go to work like 8 hours after completing a transatlantic flight *shiver*

Ouch! Your brain must feel like mashed potatoes with cold gravy.

So anyway, LFG is a stand-alone story in a unique, stand-alone fantasy world that just happens to draw inspiration from every possible source (including Ryan Sohmer's own creative mind). That's my view on it.

For the record, with the exception of the blue load bar (because everyone knows Blizzard revolutionized the amazing technology of load bars), those look absolutely nothing alike.

Alright, that is a much better example. I mean, really, if someones going to be so vehement about something, the least they could do is make sure their rebuttal material is correct.

This has gone on long enough. You guys and gals should all be ashamed of yourselves. Some of you have been troling and flamming and have done much more than voice out your opinions. Expect some PM's and bans.

Now I'm closing this as it'S been discussed more than often enough.
