Ok, I've done this in a couple other forums and sometimes it died and sometimes it grew until it was pinned... so lets see what happens.
This thread is open to all who have written a story, poem (artistic please, comical is still acceptable), novel, screenplay, song created a painting, sculpture, artistic drawing, designed architecture, clothing, jewelry... anyone who has been part of the creative process in the final production of a work of art (classical definition; creation arts and performing arts: Sculpture, Painting, Drawing, Architecture, Tailoring, Dancing, Music, Literature, Theater, Cinematography).
Also, if you have been part in the execution of a work of art, such as an actor, musician, etc. you're welcome to post as well. IF you have ideas you'd like to present and be commented on, awesome. If you just need to bounce some ideas off people, that's ok too.
Every forum needs a sort of "artist alley" I hope this will be not only that but also a place where people can find their passion and become part of a community that supports them.
And that's that.
I'll get the ball rolling with my own list.
Poetry Packet.- Collection of poems about various themes, some artistic, some comical.
Half-Blood.- Novel-length story (hopefully) exploring the themes of racism, discrimination, prejudice, and the violence that stems from them through a narrative about... Vampires, Werewolves, Undead, Humans, and their societies.
The Elementals.- Novel-length story (already reached official word count) exploring technology and the fusion of man and machine, as well as the relationship between science and religion through a narrative that I cant sum up in a single sentence, if you're curious, ask.
PS. The Elementals might be a little low on quality since it's all in hard copy and in order to post it I will need to scan it...
Judgment.- A 10 minute play about our afterlife.
I was also in a band called Chemical Freaks (don't ask), we did covers for various Mexican rock and SKA bands.
and I believe that's it, if you're interested in any of my stuff just say so, and everyone is welcome to post their own list and comment on previous ones.

Some of mine have been under a pseudonym (which will remain unsaid for the time being) but my novels are:
"Black Plague: Girl of the 30th Century" -- I posted a part of the prologue here awhile back, but I got some good nods on it. Its still in the works, and I'm still not satisifed with ending it. So, I'd like a few ideas on how to go about continuing the story without making it into an epic blob.
"Daddy Dearest" -- An awkward play about a woman's family and the first meeting with her new fiancee...(musical)
"...And We Were One" -- a short story about how prejudice can adversely affect people.
"Love Letters" -- A collection of love letters sent between my great-grandmother and great-grandfather back in the early part of the century.
"Memoirs of a Blue Baby" -- I didn't write this, but I did edit it (nine times); credit goes to Catie McNamara.

I personally havent published anything yet and i have another year till i can go out and start working in architecture firms, but i have dabbled a bit. My design work goes mostly to few small scale landscape design (patios, decks, water features, ect.) and last year i did a design for a mixed use housing community and public square for downtown Eugene oregon that was collected to be put on display for the art walk.
I aslo write short stories, but i keep most of those to myself.

I have been published and performed.
My first publication and subsequent performance was for a music teacher in Texas when I was 12. I wrote a screenplay and music called "Little Caesars" which was a comedy about how Pizza was created etc.
I still have the script somewhere. It was great. I had a minor role in the performance.
I have had -many- of my poems published, some in different anthologies.
I am currently a corporate journalist, so I have many of my writings published for the corporations.
I am also in the process of writing a fantasy series, already named the books, but not the series....and at others insistance, I'm in the process of creating an erotica site with -quality- erotica on it.
I am a prolific writer.

I should mention that while Judgment was performed and part of my Poetry Packet published in a local anthology, Half-Blood and The Elementals are not ready for publication. Half-Blood is barely in the initial writing stage, and I've finished half of The Elementals completely, but the other half is in the initial phase (since it's a 6 book series and I took some time off from it to begin Half-Blood the process was basically split in two)
Tittles of The Elementals series:
1.- The Elementals (originality!!)
2.- The Shadow Council
3.- Life and Death
4.- Sacred Grounds
5.- Civil War
6.- Cycle Break
I also know that Half-Blood will also probably extend into a series, but haven't decided on titles yet (again, I might just go with the first part having the same title as the series...).

"Black Plague" was actually a spin-off from a series that a friend of mine created called "Mutant Force Five." Kaede started out as a lackey, but we decided to continue her backstory.
"Bubblegum Harlequin" is a series I'm starting with another good pal of mine. I promise you that there is nothing but comedy when it comes to a girl who is named 'Bubblegum.'

One quick thing to add, I have opened an RP based on the book Civil War of the Elementals series, in case anyone in interested in learning more about the storyline and characters.
Also, sorry I3lind, but apparently the Mexican Green Building Counsil is currently redoing their entire website, so my sister's work won't be available online for awhile... which totally sucks.
Also, I just realized that in the opening post I totally alienated modern artforms (Cinematography, Television, Radio, and such) so just a reminder to people that if you've got something in that area, feel free to post it!

I have more stuff, but it's inappropriate to post since my stories are full of cold realism(graphic crimes, acts of evil, etc). Halloween is my favorite holiday, so alot of the stuff I do revolves around it, and horror specifically.

Got bored, stopped and bought a bunch of old baby dolls from the thrift store and ripped the heads off in the parking lot before strapping the decapitated bodies(after addition of some fake blood around the neck) to the grill of my car(they got stolen, or removed by someone that was offended).

Not sure what type of animal this was, I found the skull boiled, and then painted it. I think perhaps it's a deer, I found a sheep brain in a jar(well I assume it was a sheep brain, that's what the jar in the trunk said no clue how it got there) in the same junkyard I found the skull. The jar broke during a move a few years ago though.

The paint ate away the styrofoam, resulting in a pretty gruesome head. The big hole in the forehead is where an old railroad spike had been embedded, but it made the head hang at an awkward angle.
Unholy OnesWrote this for some of the halloween decorations I built one year.
Turn to dust
All will rust
This spell I weave
So shall it be
My power outward
My power inward
Into these lands
Black tendrils span
My fate is secure
As the summoner of the Lemure
So with that said
With that done
I now call forth the Unholy Ones
Forgetful GodsThe gods are not gone, neither are they asleep
They rest within certain people
Within me
I am a god, but I cannot remember myself
Though in passing moments of clarity or sleepy dreams
I see myself fully, in glory, a heavenly being
Within our souls, the chosen few
Do we understand the whys and the whos
To us it falls the problem of self recollection
But can we remember and then pass through the mortal reflection
To ascend to our thrones and rule over all
Or shall we forget who we are in this life and fall
Into the next until finally we accept our positions of regret?
Bloody Baby1 Old Baby Carriage
1 High Pressure, Small Size Battery Operated Water Pump
2 Two Liter Plastic Cola Bottles
Enough fake blood(dilluted in water possibly, since I haven't built this yet to bug test the design and make mods where applicable) to fill both bottles.
1 Anatomically Correct Babydoll
Misc. Lengths Of Tubing
Misc Cloth, etc.
Setup:-
Take the baby carriage, and modify it to conceal the water pump and the cola bottles and add a "veil" covering the doll.
Modify the doll to appear plague ridden, I prefer the black death but anything "scary" looking will suffice. Drill or cut a passage for the tubing through the back of the doll, and to the head of it’s penis.
Hold a halloween party and push the carriage around over the course of the night.
Effect:-
Whenever someone gets too curious for their own good and lifts the veil, let the baby urinate blood on them as a punishment. Many of the pumps I have been reviewing are hot water pumps, and have adjustable temperatures to even make the urine warm if you wish.
If you make the doll demonic in appearance you can comment, "Ain’t he a little devil." following the blood urination.

Jacob your sculpture kind of disgusts me.. maybe that's what you're going for.
I started writing a fantasty book once. Then I decided I was unoriginal and stopped.
Then I started writing a fanfiction (final fantasy 7 post end of game) but stopped having time to work on it. Then years later they came out with the advent children stuff so just as well I stopped as it wouldn't have been relevant anyways.
I'm kind of doing a WoW comic which is at my site below. I'd probably have more time to work on my WoW comic if I... didn't play wow...
I've got a completed WoW erotic fic which I feel is actually pretty good (character development and plot and frequent money shots!) if anybody wants to read it I could probably dig it out.

True!
But this was going to be a grand play of greed, action, adventure, friendship, and in the end it became too grandiose for a stupid fanfiction. That's the main reason I quit - it was too good of a novel to be a fanfiction, and I would be more fulfilled creating my own universe to set it in.

This was a part of my story...well the second part of it anyways. You should be able to figure out what its about, im no good at last word though so any pointers would be helpful.
The last words of the scholar
Dear sister
I write on the eve of battle. My journey to seek knowledge has led me far from my intended course, but I have no regrets. I have seen what is behind the mountains of mist and fire. I have seen the kingdoms of Herla and have served the demons that crown themselves as kings. I have seen their tyranny and the suffering of the people. I have also seen the savior of the west, the red angel Vallok, I have seen the power of his words and the weight of his actions. He fights with nothing but his beliefs and principle. He fears no mans word and never doubts a step he takes. He hesitates for no one, he never looks back to grieve for his solders, his friends, his brothers, his sight is too focused on what they died for. He is a beacon of hope for the hopeless, a gathering point for the strong, and a guardian to the broken. I do not know what draws me to fallow this man, he is young, inexperienced, and yet he can call for allies and expect to be answered by those who have but heard his words or seen his conviction. The old ones call him the cursed one, the one who bears the burden of flight on his back. They refer to his seal and the red wings that sprout from his back, surly a blessing many would say. But I see how it hurts him, how it burns his soul to draw on its strength. Yet he burns his soul for us. He uses his burden as a shield for us.
I know now who I must fallow, to battle, to war, to victory, to death. We are a few thousand in number while the slaves of the kingdoms number in the millions and stand united against us for fear of their demon masters. But we march with cause and we seethe with purpose! I came here a mere scholar, looking for answers, and, although I did not know it back then, a purpose. I stand now a man with a reason to live, a man with a use, a man with a sword and a shield who faces a seemingly endless obstacle and stands firm. Years from now, when the stories of old are retold, all will remember the few who stood against the countless, the warriors who faced oblivion and laughed, the soldiers that spat in the face of evil and raised the banner of freedom on the corpse of injustice. Do not fear for me or grieve my passing should it come to that. I have seen those who have lost all and done nothing, lives that held no meaning to others. This is a fate I will never suffer. So when you tell my children the story of our fight, tell them that a storm may sway a tree and a kingdom may sway a land, but a man with a dream can sway hell and heaven and smash empires! Tell them that blood spilt on the ground they stand was for them, for their children, for all who would live life.
With these final words I write farewell, as I may not be alive to tell it to you. I go now to my destiny. Stay safe, stay strong, and stay true.

Very well written, especially since it's a letter and as such supposed to be somewhat of a stream-of-consciousness deal.
Here's one of the poems that were published:
Circles Within Circles
These infinite circles of history,
As we constantly repeat the same mistakes
Refusing to recognize our fallibility,
Pretending to be omniscient like gods.
As we constantly repeat the same mistakes,
A few recognize our faults and step up
Pretending to be omnscient like gods,
And all follow them blindly.
A few recognize our faults and step up,
Helping others to do the same
And all follow them blindly
For like robots, we are innert.
Helping others to do the same,
Refusing to recognize our fallibility
For like robots, we are innert
There infinite circles of history.
The poem form is a Pantoom, which is helpful if like me you totally suck at rhyming but want a steady flow.

This is an exerpt from my short story: "You're A God Among Men"
The breeze rushed past the battleground. It was nothing more than the very place where the five corners of the city merged together - a dark heart to a forbidding Master. The moonlight filtered softly through the veil of a passing wisp of cloud. It smelled heavily of moisture and low tide. It was the shaking that ran up and down your arm that signified that it was going to rain. A befitting backdrop to such a violent end. A crackle of lightning pushed its nose in the middle of our stand-off. Eyes narrowed, knuckles popped softly as the cartilage rolled along bone, the shuffle of gravel beneath feet shifted almost inaudibly against the powerful gust of the wind. Like a Gothic canyon, the walls of slate loomed ominously over us, creating an open canopy to the acidic rain threatening from above. Not even the Gods would dissuade us from our intended goal. Our hearts raced in the tube of our chests; parting our lips in mirrored images as he gasped for breath like fish out of water. This was the alpha... the omega... the start of something big and the end of the flimsy old ways. Either we would unite, or we would find this spot to be the graveyard of our most cherished memories. I chuckled modestly at the prospect of allowing such a hack take me down. There was no malice or arrogance in my demeanor. Not anymore. There was no room for egos. There was only room for those who were willing to die for their beliefs. Die for their cause, no matter how the result was achieved. They call us 'terrorists.' They call us 'extremists.' I call us Revolutionists. Our hearts beat to the drums of our forefather's tunes. We will no longer allow the dust of the old world to push us into submission. We never forget, we always remember.
"What say you, Raziel?" I shouted over the clash of thunder rolling overhead. The wind picked up my words and carried them to her ears. At first, she squinted her eyes to discern what my true words were. We had known each other since our schoolyard days; running carefree through the monastery gardens. While 'Raziel' wasn't her true name, she understood its meaning. As soon as my words hit the furthest depth of her soul, she shook her head. A sign I had prayed she would not give me. The whole of her being prayed invariably for peace. All of the years of teaching her that the world was worth giving a second try... and yet she chose to stand idly by and watch her opportunities ti change it slip through her fingers like sugary sand.
"I can't follow you, Kishori." She replied. I let out a ragged breath. The fir that was growing within my belly called out for a cigarette, but my heart was not in the mood to blaze one to life. All of our long years, we had been more than friends. We had once been lovers. I trusted Raziel with my heart, my soul... my life. Now I felt a sense of betrayal to the way things used to be as she threw my offer to the wayside. It didn't take her long to recoil at the thought of causing a revolution. Maybe my methods were rudimentary, but they were the best way I knew how. What point was there in having the ability to create change and yet doing nothing to cause the rift? Raziel let the wind dance in her hair; wildly brushing it about her face like the tentacles of demons.
"Raziel, please come with me. I need you." I said with a softer tone. Once again, she replied with an apologetic shake of her head. If that was how she desired it, that was how it would be. There was no changing the course of our future - and the past was slowly dying in the embers of what we hoped to accomplish. There was no past. None to speak of with relish.
At the sound of the thunder, an instant flash of lightning... our hands poised as we white-knuckled our weapon of choice... Roulette. We would rush each other with the intent of killing the other. Her idea was to prevent the world that would inevitably be and I wished to release her from the grip of complacency that had stolen the fire that was once my fondest soul mate. Each of us passionate about our cause. Each one worthy of being called a warrior. Tears streamed down our faces; uncontrolled, unchecked, unabridged mournful cries of attack. The wails that exuded between us were the most heartbreaking of all. The crowd that had surrounded us drown our yells, but we could each hear the other. The lines of thought between her gasps for air against the wind apologized to me over and over. This was senseless. We both knew it. But it had to happen in order to open the gateway to a new life.
Our bodies touched for a split second. The urge to cling to the other hung heavily in the air that rushed over our sweat-glistening skin. The electricity of our eyes met as I wished only to curl up against her and shake her free of the chains that weighed her down in this world. For someone so young, to see such innocence lost to the demons that lingered in the shadows, it was sickening. I had to focus on what I was meant to do. Another clash of thunder and flash of lightning passed as her double-edged blade met my butterfly knife. We landed in the opposite corner of one another; breathing heavily as we inspected damage. None yet. We both held back for the sake of the other. If we were ever to finish this, we needed to provoke the other into a more passionate response. We were now enemies.
I must forget you... I must forget how I love you.

As for the manual proficiency.. I really had no choice. Father/brother/cousins/aunts/family friends are all artistic or artists.. Kind of got booted straight into art courses from the get-go just to be "up to their standards". GG, family, kill my love of art from the start..

I was talking to a group of friends the other day, and one of them asked me why I had immediately concieved The Elementals and Half-Blood as novels, and whether I had considered looking into perhaps a graphic novel, and I realized that they do have potential for that, so I immediately asked some of my more manually proficcent friends if they would mind doing some concept drawings for me. They're excellent artists, and really understood the ideas I gave them, but unfortunately they're very anime-oriented, and that's not really what I was hoping for...
So, I would like to extend the offer to anyone who might be interested in doing concept sketches (characters, locations, no action, etc.). PM me if you would prefer to do that instead of posting an agreement here.

I'm in the process of writing a novel. It's difficult to pull off for some reason. I can only seem to write when my brain is in a certain place. (usually between my ears, but it gets around).
I started a short story a while ago after I cracked my tail-bone. I was left without a way to vent my awkward sense of humor so I decided to start a story, which was an ode to the crazy man that lives down the street from me. We nicknamed him Bob after the song by Weird Al, only to discover his real name is actually Robert.
I warn you, it is disgusting.
___________________________
Hark! The doorbell doth ring loudly into my ear. I stand to answer it, though my boxers doth protest. They complain saying the scraping of my thighs curdle their threads in such a way that it is nigh on torture. I beg them to endure as I shuffle my way to the door. There I am met by a delivery man dressed in deep brown shirt and shorts. I gaze longingly into the logo on his shirt. My eyes grasp madly for his clothing. As I stare, I contemplate the color, as it resembles something I just left in the stool not but a few moments ago. The color touches me deeply, arousing the colon of my soul. As I spray my stinky essence into the cosmos, I stand fulfilled knowing that the space monkeys shall amuse themselves with my spirit feces for eons to come.
"Uh, sir, are you Bob Regal?"
The man asked me, like he didn't know me. Oh, but I knew him. I followed him daily, watching him through the window while talking to the CIA bugs in the bushes. I often dreamed of setting his car on fire, then putting it out with a garden hose, then lighting it on fire again. Little did he know I was on to him, and his illegal hemp bananas in his cellar. "Yeah." I replied.
"I've got a package for you."
"You got those nickels you stole from me?"
"What nickels?"
"The ones I almost died for when the government tried to kill me back in Nam. They've been after me because of what I know about television. They tried to bug my car, but I showed them! I lit it on fire."
"Yeah, thats great. Heres your order of long underwear."
"Yeah, you just keep telling yourself that."
"What?"
"Get away before you attract hamsters."
"Whatever."
Again, as he walked away, my eyes longed for his brown clothes. Though they stirred upon my real colon this time, for my souls colon has already been voided and must recuperate on a hearty diet of tomato soup and candle wax. While my eyes had my attention, my bowels launched a surprise attack on my shorts. Those two never get along. Sadly, today will have to end warm and squishy, like most days. Wait, when did I order long underwear?
I instantly ripped open that cardboard box and began a feast of cotton-polyester. The box tore easily, the CIA is losing their touch. The cloth went down easy, like corkscrews off a porcupines back. I sat back, my stomach feeling very cozy. Then I caught a whiff of that beautiful aroma brought on by that lovely shirt on that delivery man. It inspired my stomach to be giving, retuning the clothing to the box from whence it came, though some spilled into my lap. Suddenly my warm, squishy pants began to vibrate. "Curse you FBI!" I screamed, "let my crotch go!" I suddenly realized my cell phone was on vibrate. I answered the phone and said, "Hey, if this is about the orphanage, i can explain. The kids were actually tiny aliens bent on conquering the world with recliners. You're welcome citizen."
Just as I was about to hang up, I heard someone say, "Grandpa?"
I suddenly remembered that I once had a fat ugly child name fido, though I thought he was a dog. "When did you learn how to speak? Are you a government dog-mole sent here to trick me?
"Grandpa, I'm not Fido, I had some long underwear delivered to your house, I'll be by to pick them up soon. Just try not to ruin them."
"I'm not buying it, I'm gonna eat this pile of whitey tighty again until I find the tracking chip you hid in here to scramble my eggs!" I shoved the phone back down my pants and resumed eating the slightly wet pile of long underwear again.
I heard a voice emanating from my crotch. "Way to go Rick, I told you having those delivered to my grandpas house would be a bad idea."
I raised my fist, ready to strike, "I've got you now! Tiny alien midget!" I remembered two things too late. One thing was I forgot that I had genitals in that location. The second thing was I forgot to turn off my phone. After my voice finally lowered to its correct octave, I turned off my phone, making sure that the government spymoledogs couldn't track me.

I don't know if this counts, I've recently patented a TCG that I created a couple months ago, it's based on historical warfare and plays sort of like MTG.
Hey, you finallly patented that Civil War game! Congraturations! Are you going to sell it to a company now or somethin'?

My friend and I are working on a website to get the game going online before we release the paper version, expect it to be up sometime around 2011.

Why so long?

My friend and I are still working out the kinks in the game, then there's cards to be made, playtests to be done, we have to set up the site, figure out how to make the game immersive, and create a gaming atmosphere that rivals MTG of all things, it's going to take a long time.

I'm in the process of writing a novel. It's difficult to pull off for some reason. I can only seem to write when my brain is in a certain place. (usually between my ears, but it gets around).
I know exactly what you mean. Im trying to write a novel as well and dang it, its just hard to "force" ideas out. I usually have to wait till it comes to me and when it does its never in front of my computer.

I always carry a little notepad around, so if I get struck by an idea I can write it down in shorthand and then expand it latter when I have a chance.

Yeah... I'm trying to write a TV Show with my friends, and it sure is difficult. There's also the fact that we are trying very hard to be Scientifically plausible. That means no Speed o' Light travel... which is really a burden. And I still haven't figured out any of the characters out yet...
And David, can I be a Playtester once you start things up? That sure would be awesome...

My sister my best friend and I are actually writing an 8 book series...All 8 books are being written at once...I'm writing 2 books and the other 2 are writing 3....They're actually doing quite well...hopefully soon the first few parts to the series we have will be published with any luck. I even made a website about the books....36+ pages written in HTML code using notepad...Got it done in 5 days...it was a bitch.

Yea I can make websites using virtually anything....Microsoft word, powerpoint, dreamweaver, Code, frontpage, flash....etc....Dreamweaver is great when you need it done quick...but code is 10X more fun and actually shows how much you know.

We had to do this project last year... Namely, "Make a Book Report in the form of a Website". I was the Sole person to use HTML... All the others just smirked and used their stupid website generators that require no skill whatsoever with their cell phones and their flippy hair and their teenage pregnacies and their football teams and their boy bands and their rap music and their obscene jokes and their iPods and their guns and their gang wars and their promiscuity and I'm sorry, I think I just ranted... Sorry you had to see that...
In other words, as long as you don't use a Web-based Generator, you are awesome.

I generally use dreamweaver, basically because I'm just screwing around to see how I can exploit its simplicity to create complex effects.

How about Wormholes? they havent been proven to or not to exist and they allow for travel across huge if not infinite distances, without making Einstein turn over in his grave.
