Evil Monkey

Q1: Alrighty hobos, let's see how far you can go. What's the earliest page you remember stopping at (i.e. - The earliest point you began keeping up with this, or started reading).

I'd have to say mine is about 36 probably, it could of been earlier. I never even saw the forum button until I visited the main page, had the actual viewer on favorites until I started posting, heh.

The main 'wow' part of this is to see who actually posts here that can go back that far.

Q2: For the 2nd contender, we have our favorite character in terms of sayings/actions. This basically means if you think Richard is the funniest psycopath you've ever seen, he's it. More straight forward, but you can vote for more than 1. If you vote for an other, post and say who your "other" is.

Mine's Richard, hands down.

Q3: For a while we had our "Mini-Richard vs. Cale" episode when our favorite phyco was zapped by his imp. You can look back if you weren't around by then, but this is mainly for our fan-girls out there who are either fanatic for one or think they're both worth your worship.

I love em' both, but Mini-Richard won me over.

I think the MR v. C was up at one point, but I don't think anyone ever did the poll for the characters, and I think most of the posts we had were when we only had our main 4 or Richard vs. Cale, which was a while ago.

I started reading when the comic was back at page nine, back when LFG was basically the archive and nothing else.
cobaltstarfire
I started somewhere between book two and five, so 51-100.

Then picked Richard and Crunch, Richard makes me laugh, and Crunch, I dunno he's interesting to me.

And mini richard for the last one. Cale really isn't all that attractive to me in the first place, but mini richard is cute as a button. tongue.gif *Puts on a fire proof shield*

I've been hooked ever since Richard's "This isn't where I parked my horse.", though at the time, I thought Richie was some kind of ninja. I guess I was partially right. wink.gif

Its kind of hard for me to remember where I came in, kus as soon as I caught up with it I read it over again about five or six times. It was around the middle or end of issue two, though, I think.

I just remember page one mellow.gif

I've been reading LICD since Chad started, and LFG since day 0.

I'm an old school fanboy.

I found LFG from the WoW Europe front page, probably on the first time it was linked there. Page five or six.
Skielok
wow i got into this right before they went back in time

I started reading at.. page three? I didn't join the forum 'til issues later though. Which, I think is what most did.
Richard cuteness of over Cale. For some reason, I don't find Elf shank all that attractive. smile.gif Or anything else about poor Cale.. wait no, I like his eyebrows.

'Sadly' I'm with the majority in loving Richard. Though probably for several more perverse reasons then most..then again, there are some freaky people here.

I found LFG when Lar and Sohmer had just started it some weeks prior (back then it was only one update per week). Storywise it was when Richard and Cale first met Benny in that tavern, and that guy Aelloon came barging in, and everyone started fighting... I remember being somewhat confused because the story started in medias res, with no explanation about who these people were except for Cale's opening monologue I wondered if this was a sequel and kept searching for a link to a backstory. (It took me monthsto find out, by accident, that Lar and Sohmer were also doing other webcomics beside LFG.)

There wasn't much of an archive back then. I think the story was at page 9 when I started reading, because that's the earliest picture I've saved and the date (January 2nd, 2007) that I started the Looking For Group folder in my webcomics directory on my harddrive.

As for the forum, I was lurking and reading for months until I finally got off my lazy butt and registered an account on... oh yes, it says here May 28th, 2007. My one-year forum anniversary is fast approaching.

Don't ask me how I found LFG. I think it was via a banner link from some other webcomic (Something Positive? Nuklear Power 8-bit Theater? Dunno.) or a banner on the TopWebComics voting page. Something like that. I do remember it was the banner with Richard pointing accusingly at the burning orphanage. Heh.

As for favorite character, I like them all (except Pella, although these days I hate her less and have mellowed to "neutral" reaction towards her). I checked the boxes "Krunch" and "Other" (for Tavor), because I was certain that the majority of people will be voting for Cale and Richard, and Benny is reasonably popular too.

I'm sorry, Cale, Chibi-Richard is cuter than you. Perhaps if you got a better haircut. Any haircut would be an improvement over those animé character bangs.

Aww, but it's so cute the way they fall in his eyes when he's being emo. rolleyes.gif

And apparently I'm one of several people who selected "Other". Me and Tobrian picked it for Tavor. I think everyone else picked it for Tim.

I first came in contact with LFG when a friend of mine sendt me the "Slaughter Your World" video. I then instantly went to the site and started reading it from page 1, but when I joined the story was on page 112/113, it was probably around update that I started reading it, since I remember both pages being the latest page when I joined. And after reading the first couple of pages I was just stuck, especially since I read it after I saw the "Slaughter Your World" video.

As for favourite character... I almost feel offended that you didn't mention Sooba... I am a Sooba Fan! One of few...

As for Hot vs Cute... I don't care. 'Nuff Said.

Don't forget Hctib Elttil!

I remember waiting for page 3 or 4, surfing through the rest of the site (what little there was), an laughing my ass off at the staff bios, although I can no longer find that page on the site... something about sweaty muscles, an blacksmithing the comic into being, or somesuch. It WAS a long time ago tongue.gif

And there were maybe 2 or 3 "extra" pictures, and I was wondering who the Tauren was. Lol... I was looking for a WoW comic, and if thats what you are LOOKING for here, thats what you will find.

I remember my bitter disappointment when I missed the launching of the forums by a few hours, and thus my member number was above 100 ;p I remember the rules about Signature length being developed, in part because my own was about 20 sayings/poems about kisses XD

My favorite character was Benny, but Pella is closing in as a close second nowadays. Richard was always hilarious, but Benny is just as homicidal, I believe. She just doesn't go for the spotlight as much as Richie...

I started reading basically from the begining, I had only just begun to read Webcomics because of some interesting people I met in Web Design and Video Production class, and while reading LICD got hit in the face with this post about another awesome comic being done by Sohmer and Lar...

I didn't join the forum untill recently because I was really busy with applying to college and scholarships (thank god that's over), but now that I have free time (and will) again I decided to see what you guys were up to.
Dude55
i started reading when they were ABOUT to get in prison in legaras army hold and when richard was getting stabbed but wouldnt die happy.gif
