At this point, I can't advance my Warlock any further then he already is, due to time constraints and my guild.

I just got the the Crusade card, and that's the last upgrade I can get for destro. Anything else would come from heroic grinding for badges, and its hard enough finding groups for them as a lock on Alliance Durotan.

It's a damn shame, because I'm geared for Illidan(says be.imba.hu) but there's no such thing as a guild that raids on the weekend.

btw, Kedar, 70 lock, Durotan.

Okay, so I got sick of my hunter, cause, well, hunters are silly. So, since my friends here at college always are complaining about the lack of a good tank, I'm making a Tauren Warrior. Hanasakajiji, Burning Legion, lvl 11, almost 12. And that's in 24 hours. Considering I only played him for about 4 of them, I'm pretty happy. tongue.gif

as my sig says, i have three characters. my main (WAS an alt but she got to 70 before my druid) who is clearly a Tank. Hoping to start running kara once i get my badge libram. its hard gearing tanks. cuz you have to be geared so well to do ANY of the stuff to GET gear. damn you paradox!!

then i have my healer. <3 being a tree. and then there's my dps. he wasnt supposed to be my dps... it just sort of happened. i must admit i ADORE dressing him up as a pirate and oogling him. he's pretty fun to solo as after attempting dailies & normal quests as a tank/healer. XD EZ-mode.

... i also have a hunter. named Caleannon. had to add an "n". sleep.gif still trying to bribe my friends into getting me to the NE starting area so i can get him a sooba XD ... cuz god knows i cant just wait til lvl 30 and get one in Stranglethorn. noooo. cant do soemthing EASY.

i play on Baelgun. ^__^ if you happen to be on that server and need any help, don't hesitate to hit me up biggrin.gif i love to help.

Not Druids.

A bear tank can get almost optimal in slot gear with nothing more complex than Kara.

Do you mean paid transfers or they are actually opening up that for some servers? The last time they did that was back in 2005 on my server and it was supposedly a mistake. A couple of our best guilds left and we were reduced to a second rate server (well, maybe third rate actually). I don't think our server every recovered fully from that exodus population-wise and progression-wise.

Two days of playing and my Human Fighter is a sheer and utter failure. Oh well- Ernst was only intended to be an experiment anyway. However, I'm still trying to figure what to make as my "Main".

The thing is, I was intending to be a Blood Elf Paladin... Except turns out Trial does not include Burning Crusade.

I can say the Graphics are Goigeous (Even though the character models annoy me). And the world is so bloody HUGE! Which has it's advantages and disadvantages...

However, the Quests are Crap. I still say that Runescape had the best quests of all MMOs to this day.

However, in general, I actually prefer DDO to WoW. You never get any DMs in Azeroth... and in DDO the Kobolds actually look like... Well, Kobolds.

However, WoW will be a nice diversion to keep me occupied throughout the next 12 days...

Paid PVE ---> PVP transfers. Chances are wht happened with your server was PVE to PVE because your server was too full. That happened to Durotan a year or so back I believe and we were also destroyed.. Not that we were great before.

I hate Runescape as much as the next man. It has crap graphics, grindtastic gameplay, and its population has the average IQ of a Mentally Deficient Monkey. However, I think that it has the best Quests out of most MMOs... Maybe cause the quests have... I dunno... an actual plot. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
linxafidel
quests in WoW have a storyline too. in chains. however, those chains are only later on. for the most part, WoW quests are to give substance to what is otherwise a grind. later in the game there's some great story style questlines.

but i can see your point.

No. It was PVE to PVP. Shadowsong to Black Dragonflight. If I'm not mistaken. BDF is a PVP server.

as it as been said, the starting areas suck. once you get into the 2nd area, they kinda start to get better, and by the 3rd area you should be able to start having fun smile.gif

i cant stand PvP either. just think about this on the positive side, if you are on an overpopluated PVE server (as i am) the mass exodus of the 70s leaving means the population will go down biggrin.gif

Whatever you do while leveling up on a pvp server, DON'T GO TO STRANGLETHORN VALLEY. STV for short.

STV is a gankfest for bastards that like to take their nerdrage out on lower levels. Well, almost anywhere is like that on a PVP server but STV is pretty bad. At least in my experience. It's what made my quit my mage and go roll a pve server. (Since I was a noob then back in 2005.)

Dustwallow Marsh isn't that great either for ganking since now they put in a ton of quests there for lvl 30 and up.

More over, leveling on a PVP server is pretty annoying in general because it can potentially take you longer to level up if you keep having bad luck by running into higher lvl players of the opposite faction. To this day I have yet to fully lvl up a toon on a pvp server. The closest I'm am to accomplishing that is my draenei shammy who is lvl 47.

this is why everyone will level up on a PVE server and transfer over to the PVP server

I stopped leveling my Draenei Priest because I didn't like the features I chose for him(silly, I know), but now I found out you can change tendrils in the barbershop! Woo!

I still don't understand how that works though.
Sayuri Kajira
They'll most likely cost you money. The higher gold you have, the more awesome-looking the tendrils. (And if they're apart of your face as they are for the Draenei... wouldn't that be painful?!)

Psh. That's half the fun of levelling.

The last character I took through there (four in total) was a druid and it was hilarious to see if I could escape the marauding gankers. Ganktown (as I call it) is still one of the most efficient questing areas. Lots of quests in dense loops. You can make six or seven levels there and if you know the area, you can do it without getting ganked more than a couple of times.

Of course, the first time I levelled there was the most fun. I was a lock and I had a warrior friend. Any time things went pair shaped, we had to try fleeing across the entire zone because each escape pulled mobs onto us. Good times.

It's easy. It's either...

1) Get to lvl 10 as fast as possible, get full rested xp. Come back on, have a friend run you through deadmines constantly until you use it up. Rinse and repeat.

or the much easier way.

2) Lie.

On a side note, I was doing Heroic SH today. I made a soulwell and the hunter asked, "wtf is that?"

We asked him if his pet had growl on, and he said "no, that's just the sound it makes when it attacks."

I think my screenshot of the time it took me to get to 60 with my shaman got deleted but I managed it in about three and a half days played without a guide (I'd never even checked for one - didn't occur that they would exist until later) and that was before the nerf to 1-60 levelling.

Remember, they beefed up the biggest dry patch in the first lot of questing with a ton of quests and they dropped the exp required for every level. A lot of quests boosted the exp reward, too. Two days played is about right for anybody who's done it a handful of times before. Of course, Guh? highlighted the best way to get to 70. Nothing's faster than dungeon grinding in Outland - not yet, anyway.

now im giving her a rest to get the rested xp so i can take on fellwood and the infernal quest biggrin.gif

i got to run sunken temple for the first time on saturday and i am very happy to report that i had top DPS biggrin.gif

the last time i did an instance (maraudon) i was the 2nd lowest, the healer was the lowest >.<

but i fixed my spec and changed what i was doing in my spell routine and just kicked butt biggrin.gif

the cool part was i ran it with the same people in my guild that i ran maraudon with, so it made it all that much better

the group leader is an officer in my guild and he was giving me all kinds of praise for getting my dps up higher and for kicking butt biggrin.gif

all in all, good weekend

Anywho, I'm really tempted to pre-order the collector's edition, but I'm not sure if it's worth the 70-80 dollars to me personally. The only in-game thing you get from the collectors is the frost wrym pet. Which is really cool but I was hoping for maybe one or two other ingame stuff. I don't particularly care about the trading card game or the other stuff that much other than being impulsive about it.
