You know what they should do with that though? They should put in options for body/face/etc tattoos. I think that would be pretty cool.

i'll second that

After all this time I'm just now making my way to this thread...sad lol. So let's see, Xan has a 70 rogue, and 70 healy druid. I raid with both of those. A 70 shaman that I pvp with, and a lock and a..erm something else that's lower level that I'm working on. hehe However, due to recent events I haven't been able to play. Sad day for me. I miss my guild!
Sayuri Kajira
I've been bouncing around in different areas. I've been working on Ryvvie, although I haven't really touched her recently. I've been also trying to level up Ryvvianna and Bridei.
Xanriel
hehe I understand how that goes. I have Ishanah which is my baby and I have Kathris which is my temp main. We needed healers badly so I'm filling the spot with her for the time being. Although I want my rogue back lol. I have shaman which I play around with, but right now I'm boucning between a couple of low leves that aren't even really woth mentioning at this point. Problem is, figuring out which one I like more.
Sayuri Kajira
I've never had the patience to attempt a Priest. I think its because when I first started playing, I had an undead Mage (Lillithu), which as you can see hasn't been touched in nearly a year, year and a half. I liked playing the power class so much that I decided to continue. That's how I got my Lock. However, I've only recently how badass being a Paladin or Hunter can be.
Xanriel
lol my first character was an undead prist who's in pretty much the same condition as your mage is.
Sayuri Kajira
laugh.gif I think the only reason I haven't done anything with it is because it was the character I started with my ex. He's the one who got me all gung-ho about it. After we broke up, I continued to play, but I couldn't find myself playing that character. So, that's how my Lock got all of the attention.

I'm a level 70 Demonology Warlock. I am slowly gearing out, but even with the gear I do have, I pwn on BGs and Arenas. Regularly in EoTS and WSG I rank in the top 5 for Damage overall, normally one or two in the alliance...there have been many times where I'm #2 overall between horde and alliance. While I'm not a PVP whore, I do enjoy PVPing and take great pride in what I do as a demonologist. I know that if I was afflicition specced I'd pwn the field, but I'd also end up being dead more often than I am now...and now i am often hunted and killed ASAP on fields when I start pwning te healers...I'm a healer killer. I hate healers in BGs (they're my best friend if they're on my side)

Although, my paladin is the first character I made on wow. Far from it.

My vvveeerrrrrrrryyyyyy first toon I made on wow was (I think) a human mage on Icecrown. Played him for about like 10 lvls before two RL friends said to roll on Shadow Moon (yes, before they changed the name to Shadowmoon, that long ago). There I made a human mage (lol) by the name of Kirijolith (inspired by Dragonlance btw).

Got that mage to 30s (with other alts along the way that never went anywhere) before I quit Shadow Moon server since it was a pvp server and I was tired of getting ganked (yes, STV, I know). I was a noob. So I rerolled on a pvp server by the name of Shadowsong since there were other two RL friends of mine playing there.

That's when I made my pally. But under a different name. I got the name changed to Redington about last December I think. Anyay, so yeah I started my pally around June of 2005 or close to them and never looked back. Got him to lvl 60 then to 70 in the expac. Went through a few guilds before I ended up in the one I am in now. The previous guild I was in did pve but we had a lot of bad players in the guild that plague it's progress to get anywhere serious. I eventually left that guild for Atrum Mortis (current) and never regretted it. We are now 1 boss down in Sunwell Plateau and everything before that is on farm status.

I made a lot of alts in between but I've always stuck to my pally. He was the fastest (well, seemed fast at the time) to level for me and I'm not sure why. Other people say they try to lvl a pally and get bored real quick but not for me. It was not too bad.

The only other toon I got to lvl 70 is my rogue, Jemhadaar. As you can see, he doesn't have much in the good/great gear department. I rarely play him now-a-days. And yes, I've seen Star Trek but I'm not that big of a fan; I just like the name.

Not sure why I'm telling you my whole life story (wow life anyway) but seeing you guys talk about it... kinda made me go off I guess.

Archimonde should of died yesterday. But the same people kept messing up either dieing stupidly giving him soul charges or running around randomly with fire chasing them and closed the others in. With 20 people we would have done it...

That's the thing about Archi. It's not a dps race. Well technically it is; but every boss is a dps race. The deal with Archi is you have to tell those people that keep messing up that staying alive is their first priority. And not to run around like idiots when the fire is chasing them; they need to run straight back away from Archi if the fire is on them. So at least the fire will stay straight for a little while before it goes off in a different direction.

Also, speed the boots is tech with Archi (as well as almost any other boss that requires you to move). The speed boost will get people out of fires quicker and just helps the boss fight in general. As you know, you only need to get him to 10% before it's a free ride. So if 1 or 2 people die just before then, it shouldn't be too crippling. My guild was fighting Archi once and we kill him with two or three people dead before the 50% mark. Granted that we've been farming him for awhile, but Archi can still cause problems for guilds that have killed him a bunch.

I just had a look at a few of the other confirmed changes for WotLK.

I didn't think they could do it but it seems like Blizzard has fixed our itemisation. They've still hurt us by having totems be raid-wide but at the same time we're the only people who get the current form of Windfury now. The Windfury Totem offers a haste bonus which is better with an enhancement shaman. It's nice to see they're having a crack at fixing some prominent flaws in their classes. They've given me a reason to favour mail items over leather by making Int be something other than a useless stat.

I don't know how they're tweaking some of the other classes but for the one class I know well, they've done a lot of good. The odds of me leaving WoW permanently were kinda low - I'm not addicted to it (haven't played in a month and don't miss it) but it's simply something that I can enjoy when I'm not stuck in the C-team permanently - but this makes me feel better about intending to come back.
Vegos
The "unified spellpower" stat will make loot business very very amusing.

And I think that I'll have to adapt quite quickly, as it seems melee stats will be revamped as well.

I also wonder how many people will go inscription straight away...
Verbose
Too many.

But it'll balance out.

I actually like the changes to hit and crit. As a class that relies predominantly on melee with spells to augment my ability, it'll be nice for them not to suck horribly.
Redington
I'm kind of tempted to go inscription unless it blows or they don't give goodies for alchemy/blacksmithing. I've been a blacksmith on my pally since I first made him. But I've taken up alchemy more recently to get the healing trinket it has (and it was worth it).

I should probably see what they're doing with pallies. I kinda want to reroll for the expac but I should at least see what they're doing with my pally first.

Edit: Since the only logical reroll without having to do too much lvling would be my rogue since he's already lvl 70. The next closest high lvl toon I have is my lvl 50 mage. But I don't think I would reroll mage, considering I haven't gotten him to lvl 70 by now because he's my oooooolllllddddeesssttttt toon I have, even older than my pally.
Vegos
And we will see a Death Knight spree...
Verbose
And that'll die down as well.

You'll find that most of the dedicated Death Knights will be unguilded. If you're in a guild already, you have a place with your current character. There'll be some people who swap classes out but if it's anything like it was when Burning Crusade opened other classes, Death Knights will probably be ignored for serious raiding at first. People just won't know how and when they fit in.
Jaezelle
I foresee two massive waves of death knights.....
Wave 1 being the "omg, new class, gotta roll it lolz"
The starting area is just going to be blasted to smithereens by the sheer amount of people roling DK's. There is going to be a shortage of mobs and an excess of DK's standing around trying to get a kill on a mob that just popped.
Wave 2 is gonna be the people who knew about the competition issue of wave 1 and decided to wait and work on their main toon instead.

As for them getting into guilds... I think the amount of pwnsauce they put out, combined with the novelty of "omg, new class" should be enough for the good ones get invites and slots in raids right off the back.
Verbose
Yeah, that was my thinking.

They're opening a new window for people to get into guilds. It's hard to get into a decent guild unless they have a new and sudden shortage of people of a certain class. Giving people a new class creates room for upwards mobility.

Go feral. Trust me. It's way faster.

I have a lvl 67 feral druid. 8 days played total. It's probably going to end up as 11 days played when he reaches 70 because I can't seem to get these last 3 levels without getting a low attention span.
reader
my guild needs a resto druid

and i dont want to go feral, i dont particularly like it
Redington
Ugh, got some dopey error trying to post a response.

Anyway, if you're close to lvl 70 then don't bother respeccing to feral if you're already resto. There wouldn't be much point at that point. The best thing for a resto druid past lvl 60 is to run instances over and over. Yeah, it's boring but it has two purposes: 1. you'll level faster potentially because doing quests solo would be slower as resto and 2. It'll get you used to resto healing and therefore, be more propared for whatever your guild needs you to heal than you would if you just respec'd to resto at lvl 70 or so.

But if you're not close to lvl 70 or lvl 60 for that matter, then feral can be more of an option because you can do quests easier than resto (and probably boomkin) since there's plenty of greens you get from quests that are good feral gear until you get to lvl 70 or close.
Verbose
I have a friend who's leveled two druids to 70 and has a third on the way (don't ask me, I don't understand why either) and from his and my experience, feral is the only vaguely efficient way to level at all until level 60 or 61. Outland offers a lot of viable gear for a boomkin if you want to focus on that but before then you're choosing to gimp yourself in terms of gear.
Zoran
I need a new server to play on.

But I don't know which D:
Redington
Check the Server Thread, Zoran, people have posted which servers their toons are on. If you fancy playing with people that post here.

Verbose is right. If you want to lvl druid the quickest way, it's feral. The gear is best for feral since you can just use rogue gear and you'll be pretty ok in terms of feral dps. You'd have low intellect but you don't need too much int for feral. Whereas boomkin, there isn't exactly good gear before you get to the higher lvls. Leveling as resto all the way is just insanity, imo. Until after lvl 60 anyway.
Verbose
Depending on the age of your server, you'll also find leveling via instances to be very hard indeed.

If there's any interest from a higher, better geared player they'll get chosen over you. Less chance they'll need the gear, they'll probably know the instance better and things will be smoother.
Vegos
Yes, indeed, 90% of WoW players ARE lazy asses who CBA to put some effort into their instancing and will demand a full epic geared tank for heroics...so that they can slack.

Good thing I no longer PuG, it's all guild raids for me...

Just an observation I've made recently, ok I started out on WoW about 3 years ago and I started with a human warrior. It was a real challenge and pain to level my warrior to 70 as fury spec. I mean any time I was in an area with a lot of adds I had to be extremely careful about everything I did. Now that my warrior has been 70 for awhile I decided to start a couple other chars and I choose a Blood Elf Hunter and Tauren Shaman, now while leveling these 2 chars I have just breezed through everything, now I know that Blizzard has really nerfed anything having to do with leveling so they could open up a bigger fan base by making it where a 4 year old can level to 70 with increased XP and mounts at 30, but my question is are Warriors the hardest class to level or is just the nerfs now that make it seem that way?

A combination of both plus the fact that when leveling a new char you already know many things you still needed to discover when you leveled your warrior.

Edit: Excuse the typos. Corrected.

So what IS the hardest class then?
