I have to agree. I always love the guy screaming on vent for a combat rez when he wasn't tank, off-tank, second tank, or a priest.
Doesn't happen here, if anyone is going to get a battle rez it will usually be called out by a raid leader. You just call out your name when you go down, if you're not important enough to need to be picked back up to continue the fight you'll be left there for the duration and picked up afterwards by a pally, priest, or shaman.
Make a big deal about it and you might not get to come next week.

lul. valid question. Well, the one friend that i might do stuff with if he was around was one of the people that server transfered. Otherwise, most of my RL friends are gone, off to various places. In my pre-BC guild our second MT used to be somebody who would DC all the time. His ISP had a bandwidth cap and every once in a while because of somebody else using the line it would cap over and DC him.
I remember one night we wiped on twin emps almost a dozen times because of it.

When we started to do kara, our bear tank afked with one of the bosses at 40%, and held threat, all the way till the boss died. Best we can figure it, raid bosses get super pissed when they see a bear coming at them. For my current guild, the main tank has an avoidance set, and 65% base dodge with no buffs on. He gets up to 120% with buffs and trinkets.

I haven't played in a long time, so keep in mind these might not be the best locations any longer.
Instead of gold farming through combat you could chest hop, use your shield instead of stealth(limits you to chests outside instances though unless it's low level). Winterspring was always a good spot for me personally(outland may be better), inside the Winterfall village there are only a few spots where chests appear and you can learn them quickly(no lockpicking required). The low levels compared to your own would pretty much guarantee easy survival(unless it's a pure pvp server).
Thottie probably has all the chest locations.

The best money is always in the 235-300 skill bracket. The mid to end game from vanilla WoW fetches the best prices because it's the most tedious to farm. Spread out over dozens of regions and it takes ages to level around then compared to early on.
Good money in it. Especially since most people who reskill at 70 don't pick up a gathering skill.

A little of column A, a little of column B.
It's actually not that hard to level quickly. You just need to have something distracting you from what you're doing and to stick out a few cycles in a new zone. Quests tend to come in groups that send you to the same sort of places. Nearly all of the dailies on QD take about fifteen to twenty five minutes to do once you know the cycle. Not counting unlucky drops or crowding.

Solarian is really a pushover if people remember that raiding is hard, as sometimes you get a bomb and you have to move away. The 4 wipes we had on her (1st guild attempt on her, too) were completely unnecessary due to half of the raid being blown up. But we keeled her anyway in the end.

I was raiding on my alt paladin a while back (4hrs/day on an alt followed by serious raids on my main, don't ask, I was nuts) with some guild that was refusing to enter TK until they had killed Vasj. I finally convinced them that Vasj is infinitely harder than VR, Alar and Solarian.

When we inally killed vasj, btw, myself and a rogue were the only ones left alive at the end...

VR and Solarian are really easy comapred to her. We do lack fire res for Al'ar tho, at the time being so he is being skipped ATM.

Cleared to VR and gave him a few tries but didn't get him, it was getting late so called it.. I ended up as top healer for that run though, got screenshots and it was a fun experience, never thought I'd see those fights and here I am doing them now that I have got into raiding.
