Best strat for Deconstructor 25man that we found worked for us was this:
Have the MT pull Deconstructor to the stairs, Split up your ranged DPS into groups. We normally have - mage, lock, mage, me, ele shaman in a group go to the left side and the hunters and remaining ranged go right. We form a large V shape with Deconstrutor and Mele at the point ranged at the tips of the widened V.
We assign a healer for left side ranged and right side ranged. I think 2 healers for the MT and the other healers heal mele and raid. 1 MT healer stand between the ranged usually, if that healer gets light bombed or gravity bombed they are usual not in range of anybody and can just stand there, if they think they are they run in the oposite direction of the MT. The other MT healer will either stand up to the direct left or right of the MT only thing is because Mele who get light or gravity bombed will be running that way they and the mele have to pay attention a bit more.
if your mele and you get a light bomb you run left, if you get a gravity bomb you run right.
If your range and you get a light bomb or gravity bomb you just run away from your group enough that you wont pull them to you or light bomb them. Light bombs I find are easier I normally don't have to move far and can keep up DPS or heals.
Erm.. for the packs that spawn I'm usually specifically put on bomb duty or little bot duty, the big thrasher we just bear tank and hold till Deconstructor dies.

Yah, I think splitting up the ranged would have helped a lot. We just did tank on stairs, melee on decon's back, and ranged about 25 yards behind them all together. Works well in 10 man, needs work in 25 man. Splitting the ranged up would have made it easier.

That sounds fantastic... btw, I really like your art thread. Will I ever be able to do stuff like that? No, of course not, but still, very fun to read.
On to wow! Longest emalon down ever!
seriously...
It took about... an hour and a little to do two runs of VOA. Our 10 man run took 15 minutes.
Yes, pugging 13 people to a run (two of them being tanks, and three of them being healers), is a bad idea.

My main is a lvl 70 Paladin, thought right now I have her spec'd for soloing.
I was lucky enough to pick the class that was pretty good to suit that style of play, at least up until this point~
To say I'm "independent"... well, I'm not sure that is the correct word here, just because it sounds too... 20th-century-modernized-neo-nazi-feminist-chick for me.

I guess I just had issues relying on other people for assistance... I mean, when I desperately need it, like in an instance or when I just can't aggro less than 10 and I can only handle 5... then yeah... HELP. >>;
( I can admit when I need help! Honest! )
I think since I hit 70 and I'm planning to do more heavy stuff than just questing, I'm starting to get over that general stigma...
Which I hope will make for a much more enjoyable experience.

I also fiddle around with a hunter and a mage...

Do you sometimes get frustrated and upset while raiding?
Does wipe after wipe start to wear your down, make you agitated and disapointed? Well have a listen, and let these soothing words remind you while you raid:

We had people unavailable till 8:40 or so, and things were just sloppy :/ I've never had trash go so badly. Had to switch out our bear tank after 4-5 wipes on the first pull because he was running at 3 FPS.
Took another two tries to get that right, but the rest went pretty smoothly for the first time for a lot of people.
Few attempts at cat lady, but running into difficulties with the cats up. I'm thinking we need to burn them really hard, and the rest of the fight will be cake.
I hate late sloppy starts.

The guild I initially started out in is starting to drift apart, and the main members I was close to are slowly fading.
And they were the whole reason I stayed there....
While I have made some new friends, I can't help if now and again I don't think about switching my main to another server.
Although which one is a problem...
( When I first started, I had some friends who were waay into it and when they found out I played, they jumped me to join their server. Only problem? They were Alliance. XD; I was heartbroken. I expected so much better from them. :B )

Let me think, when was the last time I made an Alliance toon? I think it was four months ago, I wanted to make a priest named Popejohn (my nick-name in high school). But the name didn't seem to fit with a Troll, Forsaken, or Blood Elf. So I made a Draenei. I think he only made it to level five.
Probably for the best though. With my laggy computer I would've made a sucky healer. Yeah, I know I can go shadow, but the thing about being a priest is that you're either a healer or you're booted from the group.

I am at the stage of my WoW life that I am lost, no more solid base to raid, no more community of people that I am good friends with. Just me and my dwarf looking for friends. No, neither of my druids need a new home. Yes alliance. She's resto specced and feral specced for dual specced. And I've been asked by several raiding guilds when I was running with their members through other dungeons to join when I hit 80 because of my healing abilities. I've healed through things I shouldn't have been able to heal through at my level.
Lock is dual specced as well, afflic/destruc and demo/destruc
My other druid on Whisperwind is a powerhouse too.
I'd consider leveling a third druid, but no real time to right now.

Augh! Druids are a sickness! Lol, my friend is a drood, and the only other type of character he's willing to level up is a drood...
For the betterment of humanity, I avoid they class like the plague (I got one to level 6 once!) But otherwise, I play a warrior and a shaman (that's right, the better alternative to droods)!
I think ever since bc, when the class got their own flight form, which was insta-castable, yeah, I haven't liked em much. That and herbing while in flight form?! It's cheating and you know it!
Kayhynn
May 26 2009, 03:35 PM
Resto druids are among the best healers, if they are geared right and know what the fuck they are doing.
I actually had a friend who told me that HOTS were a waste of mana.
And she was healing us for Headless Horseman and we constantly died. I said go get your priest, i'll heal as a feral druid and keep people up better than you....she didnt believe me. I took over and we didn't wipe once and I was significantly a few levels lower than her.
I absolutely love druids and warlocks. Definitely fun classes to play. DK is a close third.
Baeron von Bleat
May 26 2009, 03:43 PM
Ok, I'll give you warlocks, because I don't really have anything against them (except they need do use demonic pact and the big blue guy more often to offer a raid wide spell power buff!).
But as far as the DK's and Druid! Augh! I have little respect for DK's, they're just rogues in plate. And druids >.< Are and always will be a touchy druid. My one friend swears druids are the be all end all for raiding (I swear he wants to make a 25 man druid raid.)
I just don't agree there :/ And I'd probably be more likely to give druids some credit if it werent' for the fact that every druid I know swears they're the lights answer to the perfect class >.< Gets a little frustrating...
Kayhynn
May 26 2009, 03:48 PM
They aren't. Druids are good for somethings, other classes are good for other things.
As far as locks go, most folks don't know how to play locks correctly. As far as raid wide buff, unless they changed something in a recent patch, the only thing that gives a raid wide buff is the imp, and that's a stamina buff. The voidwalker doesn't really do anything raid wide. Fel hunter does, but it's a magic eating/dispel and some of a spell buff.
Demonic pact is a talent spec and I have that and it procs quite often as a demonologist, but in a raid, I'd rarely, if ever, use my demo spec. Just not enough damage there.
One of the things I do pride myself on is being able to play classes well with specific specs. Just don't expect me to all of a sudden go from resto to feral bear and tank. I don't tank. I don't like tanking and while I am okay with it, i do not trust I could hold aggro in a raid yet.
I also know how to mitigate damage as a lock and really fucking despise tanks who tell me to dump all i have, i won't pull aggro and I have to prove to them I do and die each time. They're mostly used to playing with locks who don't know how to play their class. I, on the other hand, know what my lock can do and what spells will put me over the threat meter and will back off so I don't die.

Blegh.
So yeah, new characters are miffed at the moment (and Voncir and Brayeena... (er, Kimi, how did I spell her name!!!), whatever, priest and warlock are trading their staff and shoulders back and forth which is fine. But my friend with his rogue (which was at level 14 and I waited for at level 20 with my priest, and also to start my warlock), was apparently cruising past 30 yesterday with no desire to slow down.
Yes, he's made leveling a character an art form, and he's prone to delete a level 60-70 character just so he can level a new one (the current rogue was a level 37 rogue before he re-rolled it).
Some people just amaze me.
*edit* I think my favorite run was when I ran my elemental shaman as a healer through UP. We didn't wipe, and I was top on the meters for healing AND dps! It was fun.

I'm also on fairly frequently, and we can just open up a LFG chat channel (or start a guild, which I can shove all of my characters into except the two 80's, but they're more then happy to fund said guild). Eulogy has a character which I think I've seen twice, but she swears she'll play more, Kimi has a few, Niar even has one. So I have any number of characters who can keep you company, or run an instance with you, and even when I'm not doing those things, I'll most likely be around to chat as you do solo stuff

Of course Tues/Thurs are ulduar raids (ugh), so that's just tedium and planning. But other days should be fine! And even those days we end at 10:30 on the dot so I tend to play after that till the wee morning hours!
