I made the mistake of wandering into the kobold mine, with Goldtooth in it, at level 6... but the quest told me to so it's not my fault. And yes, I upset about 7 kobolds including Goldtooth (and I don't think I need to kill him, the level 8 bastard).

They pillaged my poor carcass. Over and over and over again.

I hate kobolds, and when I am all powerful and have sold most of my soul to demonic powers, I am harvesting their children, simply to amuse myself.

Hehe, Xanny and I did exactly the same thing last night. Our asses were handed to us...it was sad. XD Meanwhile, all of the other kobolds we had painstakingly ground our way through had respawned. Not a good night in the mines. tongue.gif

They've got a bloody 20 second respawn timer, so by the time you get trough two or three, the first one's respawned.

And i couldn't even revel in the loot I was collecting sad.gif

And being a ranged dps means at the range I tend to fight them, I'm standing right where the one I killed is about to respawn, oh, there he is on cue (dies).

I'm paying for my imp with blood! And he can no longer keep agro off me, I'm just too good now.

Maybe new spells are required so I can kill these kobolds faster!!!

Your imp is not supposed to tank, you are. You dont get a tank until you get your VW at level 10.

I do imm, CoA, Corr then SB once, then DL, if you have it, or wand/dagger them

I fully disagree with that.

I found it easier to have it attack the imp, by the time it gets to the imp between Corr and Immolate it usually switches its target to me and by the time it reaches me it dies, well at least til you get to level 10 tongue.gif.

That's exactly what I'm doing! Imp attacks, I immolate, I debuff, let him beat on my imp while i stab, if he looks at me fear him, otherwise, he's dead by then!

Ah I think you misunderstood me. I don't use fear except in pvp.

Basically until you get the VW I find it easiest to play ping pong with the npc between you and the imp. Get it?

Well, I almost inevitably pull two at once (or three), so I have my imp attack one once, and start attacking the second, while I fully debuff the second and fear the third. So my imp is more then likely tanking two and one is running around lilke a coward.

When the first is about dead, I fear the one on the imp, and have him switch to the first runner (who's coming back), we dual burn him down and then down the feared guy when he gets back.

All in all, I never lose hp (except to tap), and life's fun and easy!

Yes, you're crazy.

Oh, the warlock's on the PvP server (Tichondrius) while the priest is on Steamwheedle! But as I said, priest is cumbersome and annoying so far >.< Until I hit shadow. Then life will be cake. Yes, I have a quest to turn in to my warlock trainer which may or may not garner me a voidwalker (of course the void walker has no legs so it is miserably named), and this week involves a great deal of time wasted for raids (tues/thurs), GF in panic mode over math tutoring (er, also tuesday because she's a slacker), and weekend away from the homestead! Hoping our ten man runs this week get more accomplished!

And I found a way to get my account back once I get to a scanner.

Now why do you think a Voidwalker would need legs? It walks on the void, or in the void, so why need legs to do so?

It's a void walker, not a void floater/flyer/habitant/resident/etc.

to walk - to advance or travel on foot at a moderate speed or pace; proceed by steps; move by advancing the feet alternately so that there is always one foot on the ground in bipedal locomotion and two or more feet on the ground in quadrupedal locomotion.

I believe "Walk" is considered canon for all forms of life and unlife as we know it. Whether bi-pedal, quadripedal, centipedic, or anything of that nature, it requires legs to move.

Euo, if you made an ally on Steamwheedle, you can add my rogue. Her name is Aliyanna.

Kelly, I have been raiding and randomly running through every Alliance City since I started the game. I managed to chill in SW with a few alliance quite a few times for about 2 hours before any other alliance took note of me. Always quite fun.

PRIESTS ARE WAY FUN DAMNIT!......But I could be biased.

Euo, hahaha. I remember that. Leveling to 40 before realizing I totally wanted to be shadow, but having no idea how to effectively kill quick before then. Then I started PvPing at 20, and it clicked. So once I hit 40 for shadow, I knew exactly what to do. After that, priest was cake. Once I hit 70, I ended up going holy a few weeks later, I was mainly holy, actually, almost full holy. But a few months later, I fell in love with my hybrid specc. It's been modified 6 times. Sometimes more disc, sometimes more holy. Now I sit at 31/40/0, and I absolutely love my specc. I survive in PvP really well in my raid gear, -And- I am kick ass heals in raids. =)

yep HAHA..

What's was funnier for me still was I hit lvl maybe 47 and someone told me, "Dude you should totally spec shadow, you'll lvl ALOT faster". So I spent my 5 precious gold and respec'd. I got to lvl as a shadow priest for oooo.. maybe till lvl 52. Then a friend of mine was getting together a raid group to kill.. yes I'm about to say it. The elite undead guy out in EPL known as Nathanos Marris the Blightcaller, yes that rights you needed a damn raid group to kill him.

Yep.. a alli raid... for this guy.

My friend however needed heals. I refused to repsec as I had just paid to respec, he begged. I said I'd heal as shadow, he said no way laughed and said he'd pay for my respec. Ok, he paid me for the respec to holy then, being as many friends are, failed to pay me for the respec back to shadow. I stuck it out as holy/disc till lvl 60 as I was broke most of the time.

Was a healer for all raid content from lvl 60 untill the middle of BC when I went shadow and have been shadow since.

Edited: fixed some gramar and I spec'd shadow in BC not wrath. /fail
Baeron von Bleat
Honestly, I've got a level 60 character and two 80s, and I've never done plagueland content. I did mostly BG's with my hunter to 60 (I just liked capping towers! And that was before the guards were dps cake, so I would run in, set a frost trap, have my pet agro the guards and run off to attack a random wolf, and i'd run in and cap. then run a little ways away, and feign death. MInor cost of rezzing my poor bat, but awesome capping! And I worked to come up with a couple billion strategies to AB.

Then the game went weird, and paladin's raped everyone, and hunters were gimpy...

So I made a warrior, then BC came out, so warrior stopped at 57, and I made a shammy! (Enhancement!) till 68. Then I did Shadowlabs, and fought Mrmmrmmmr... whatever. The big elemental guy who doesn't even have full life. And I found out I had to run in, beat him, and run out... and that just made way too much complication, so I went elemental and never looked back.

Then we needed an extra tank, so I leveled up my tank to 70 as well. And I balance between the two tongue.gif (Ok, shammie goes resto occassionally.... but otherwise he's a non-selling out elemental!)

Sadness trying to pvp with him. I hate the balance in pvp now. You can pretty much offer DK, Paladin are your ideally dps, with warrior/rogue as second rate, and tree druid followed by disc priest. That's the best, and anythign else you're working at a loss.

I pity classes like Enhancement who are raped way too easy now, and I'm killable, but I get some fun with range before I get raped.

I long for when classes can't bubble. It's gay. And DK's and Paladin's with their invulnerable bubbles that just rape you as you're like "Wear off wear off wear off wear off, oh wait, perma-stun, im' dead... grr." *oh, end rant*

Okay, here is just a slew of our current thoughts on the topic.

PvE

1) Hunter dps was just too high through much of Naxx. Ideally hunters should be competing with locks, rogues and mages and for a lot of the LK content they were just head and shoulders above the rest.

2) Currently, hunter dps might be a little low, but we're not 100% convinced yet. Some of the earlier fights in Ulduar are very melee friendly. XT is a rogue and cat's dream. We were pretty harsh to melee in Naxx with a lot of run-out moments and cleaves. Kologarn and other parts of Ulduar turn that on the ranged a little and require them to focus more on situational awareness. We think the later fights in Ulduar are a little more ranged-friendly, and we're waiting to get more parses from those. Plenty of guilds are on or have beaten Yogg by now, but the current data are pretty noisy since people are still learning the encounters.

3) We understand Vezax is a special case for hunters. By the same token, our goal is not to have every class do the same relative dps on every boss. Some fights are just better for some than others. Our goal isn't even to have "the shadow priest fight" or "the fury warrior fight." We just want diversity. We really wanted the Ulduar encounters to push players more towards "What can I do to improve my dps on this fight?" and less on "What is my dps?"

4) Survival may still be slightly higher than BM or MM. We don't think it's off by 1000 dps in most cases. It's something we want to keep looking at. We understand some Marks hunters say they'd be fine if it weren't for mana.

PvP

1) The TNT stuns and the uber mana drains were just too good last season. Sorry. Those aren't coming back.

2) Last season, burst spell damage was very high. That put a premium on active defenses, which ended up being a good niche for hunters. Last season there was almost no reason to bring a warrior; rogues and hunters brought the MS debuff in a stronger form as well as a host of additional utility. Warriors are back now, which means more competition for that spot.

3) This season has seen different classes rising to the top. Priests are rogues are good. Arms and Ret are good, depending on who you believe. We are nerfing or have nerfed some of those classes, which should open up the top playing-field a little. We are getting rid of Exorcism allowing paladins to two-shot pets. I'd agree that hunter representation is a little low at the moment, but we're not sure the class needs massive buffs so much as others need some nerfs.

4) Hunters are betters in 5s than 2s. It's really challenging to have every class or spec have the same representation in small teams as large, which is one of the reasons we offer multiple sizes. Recently the community seems to be focusing on 2s even more than 3s. We are taking some steps to make sure the larger brackets are as rewarding as the smaller ones. (I'm not saying it's a goal that some classes are only viable for some brackets. But it is nice that if you aren't as good for some brackets, you always have the others to fall back on.)

Monday's just aren't worth it unless you're in the better group that week.

Last week, I was leading the crappy group (and my favorite Healer went on vacation after Thursday). So picking it up again on Monday, yes, we needed a dps and a healer.

Let me just say, I had no intention of running on Monday, but the group was on, and if I didn't try, I was going to get an earful. Annoying as that is. I hate mondays.

So our healer druid whispered me that if we pugged a healer, he didn't want to run, so that put a solid wrench in the gears. So we ran Maly instead for kicks. Except that healer went OOM EVERYTIME by Phase 2. Ugh. Useless.

And people were just being reediculous. Not getting in bubbles, going crazy ranged dps on lords before they were in range of the tank, etc. It was just stupid.

Yes, people will say many things, but that was just stupidity, and I'm glad I didn't have to deal with the lot in Ulduar.

The other gruop downed Hodir. I hate them so much. Fortunately, they failed miserably at Mimiron a couple dozen times, so I feel less bad. One boss down for a whole night isn't a good night.

I have to plow my group through Siege, Antechamber, and Thorim tonight to be on schedule for a good clear. Leaving Freya, Hodir, Mimiron for Thursday (or just skip Mim and do Varax and Yog'Saron?)

probably impossible that way, but i'm hopeful!
euology
We killed Hodir and Thorim in our 10man and they decided to beat their faces into the wall on Mim. Guess they got to Phase 4 a few times, don't know if they actually got the kill or if they just went to learn freya.

Oh, Freya is a time sink, but otherwise, she's fairly easy. Just a shit ton of mobs in her area (3 mini bosses, and 12-14 pats.)

It's such a headache.

Fighting Freya herself is pretty easy.

I'd say that overall, difficulty of Keepers is Thorim<Freya<Hodir< < < < Mimiron.

Yeah, Enhancement no longer has the ability to bring anyone down from what I've heard (maybe lucky on a caster, but otherwise no chance), while Elemental lost about 500-800 dps when it switched to 3.1 (Without any explanation or tweaks to talents that would reflect this).

I enjoy gold.....Immensely.....So I always have 1-7K on my char at all times. I refuse to drop below 1K.

She also likes diamonds, and big weddings. That's right, she comes with a price tag, but she's worth it!

Unless you're a cheap bastard like some people!

Umm...

It's rare for me to have 1000+ gold on ONE character...

I am really lazy and much of an addict for "achievements" which can often = spending gold.

I'm an achievement addict. Close to 500 now. I'm excited.
Nameless
I used to play alot, but now my lil bro plays the toons.

Let me see...he has the best geared horde warrior in his server (probably)...he has my lvl 80 shaman...there's an 80 hunter...and those are the top ones, I think. If I wasn't so busy, I'd start up again. That, and Wow is crack on the comp.
euology
I'm an achievement junkie on some lvl too. Currently at 526 / 931

Still trying to get a group together to go pwn sunwell with me. As well as run all the outlands 5man heroics. I can't solo them sleep.gif

I think im maybe 5 mounts shy of the white albino drake (want barons, the oracle egg hatchy one and working on wintersaber slowly). Next will be companion pets (5 shy of the first reward), and then *gasp* pvp achievements i suppose. Kinda perterbed I was in a very active 2man, 3man and 5man during BC, but none of that stuff make it into my achievements /tear.

Wintersabre exualted will happen soon along with Timbermaw.

If I keep ontop of my dailys for once I'll have Hodir (I slack) and will get all the Champ achievs for the Tournament.

Then I'll wrap up the BC ones (sporegar, Ogrila, SSO etc) - I didn't really care much for rep grinding for BC.
