Well my computer in which I just wiped and got back running, does not have enough memory for the new patch. If I can find a way to chop off 1 gig or about 500 mb off that computer, then I be in business.

Hey, I enjoy my work!
y2kdragon
I'm not enjoying the new patch either. Seems that my nVidia GeForce 7950 GTI Dual SLI configuration isn't compatible with the new version. Waiting for Blizzard to let me know when they plan for my "older" video card to work.
Dorian Gray
I'm enjoying my Prot-spec'd warror much more when I had him fury. Maybe this'll make levelling more bearable.

And no, I don't mean faster. I was just dying way too much w/ Fury. I'm not naive enough to think Prot'll level faster. tongue.gif

I usualy play as a affliction warlock(with some specced in destro to make my dps between dots better) i used to raid before i quit once a week, but my favorit was pvping in AV^^ My favorit is run to valandar and put seed of corruption on every horde there(they die lika fliesxD(unless they see me:S) and cast Ritual of Doom in the beginning always atleast 4 tards who klick on the altar, one of them dies and then a doomguard appears and wreaks some havoc while i get a good laugh:D
crosser
i am a lvl 2o something druid and i am feral speced the name is exiledguard i am on the stormwind server. I only get to play over at my friends but i enjoy fighting in cat form. also in bear for i can take on around 3 lvl 19s at one time with some luck but usually that backfires badly. On the other hand when it does work i get more kills than usual
qiile
Ex- 70 lock and ex-70 warrior, and bunch of 40'ish alts. The game took more time than anything else in my life, and I have yet to recover from damage it made to my interests 'in real life'.

Oh, I liked to hit things hard!
Zoran
Me and my guild did Molten Core and AQ, but we couldn't kill the final bosses cause we either A) Didn't have a caster tank. Or cool.gif Didn't have the water to summon ragnaros.

So we just killed a few bosses.
Vegos
The TBC bosses have been so nerfed...I mean, if I remember all the progression wipes on Vashj months ago, post-patch we just stood there and she went down. At least SWP is still a bit of a challenge.
Verbose
My guild was a week or two from downing M'uru. Post patch, they downed M'uru and KJ in a week.
Picardini
Grr, I used to hate M'uru ... still do. But hey, that's life. The one thing I truly hate is my slow framerate, no matter what I do, and this is post-patch. (/Ignore me for the win?)

One question: what are the end benefits of the Achievement system, exactly? Anyone?
Sayuri Kajira
Benefits: New titles.

My problem: When Bolvar's death becomes canon. (I'm a fangirl!)

Thats low... its debatable whether they will be accepted into society, or if they can function in pressuring situations without yelling "I CAST MAGIC MISSILE!"

On the other channel, what annoys me about the patch is the following:

My guild raided 4-5 days a week pre-patch and in the last weeks we had to literally beg people to go raiding and half of the people always had one excuse or another so they could avoid progression wipes. Post-patch, EVERYONE suddenly seems to have nothing useful to do with their lives at all in the evenings and EVERYONE is more than happy to raid every day, even for extended time.

So people like me, who were pushing it when the going got tough, who were there though thick and thin, but who DO have one thing or another to do once or twice a week get our raidspots taken by the slackers who just wanted to be carried to free epic loot just because we happen to have something to do on a day that's not even a raid day and those ******* will just take the glory of easy progress while I had to put up with the progression drama&frustration. Seriously.

Pisses me off to no end I tell you.
Verbose
Any decent raid-leader notices this sort of thing. My de facto guild leader is good for this sort of thing. Hell, my guild doesn't even run with any sort of DKP system anymore. We tend to trust the officers not to screw it up too badly.

My guild has had a similar problem. While I am not a hard core raider I amazingly enough really did have more time the week following 3.0 due to my client getting sick and cancelling hab sessions. This week its back to the same ole same ole for me but now there are plenty of people to fill this bear tanks shoes and its rather nice to know raids arent being canceled now because I have to work. It was also nice to get Hand of Adal finally...

Man, those achievements are such a time sink. It's mainly why I haven't been posting here for a week or more. Whenever the patch came out. That was two/three weeks ago wasn't it? I forget.

But yeah, the pve nerf on EVERYTHING has just made it face-roll-on-keyboard easy. My guild when from being stuck on Twins to killing Kil'jaeden flat in no time. Oh well, we would've beat them eventually; just not before the expac.

Anywho, a funny thing happened while we were raiding Kil'jaeden one day. We only wiped a couple times and then suddenly while we were standing around waiting to pull, I received the Damage Control achievement. Obviously I wasn't in a battleground to get it. And I didn't heal 300,000 on the wipes yet or done that much damage to KJ. So it was pretty weird. I still have the achievement, several days (maybe a week) later. Free achievements! Woo!
Triforceelf
Same here. We went form wiping on kael every week to killing kael, a new boss in Hyjal, and all the way up to council in BT. its kinda nice.

After 4 years now of Rogue...I'm sitting with:

70 UD Rogue
70 BE Paladin
55 BE Hunter
40 Tauren Druid
10 BE Warlock (In honor of Richard - named Burrn)
55 BE Death Knight

And I'm having a hard time deciding which I want to continue on with into WOTLK...my Rogue is clearly the leader of the bunch when it comes to Achievements/Gear/Titles/fun stuff.

Everyone else isnt even close to on par.

But do I want to be playing a Rogue for another...2 years....

Well, I'll probably still play my pally come WotLK.

The only other 70 I have is a rogue. I don't really play him that much at all.

I love wrath, they did everything right!

I won't say much more due to some spoilers, but I will state some issues.
One, Death Knights (wow!). There has been already a 75 DK when I first went into Northrend (No life eh?) But also a Mage hit 80 RIGHT when WOTLK came out. I got to talk to her but apparently she was a stuck up bitch to me and everyone else. So as the persuasive person I am I got a free port to Dalaran from her. She asked for a tip like this, and I quote "can u upen t8d so i can tip?" I simply gave her a tip by saying "Don't let it go to your head" and put her in ignore since she cussed me out ^^. First 80 in server on Ignore. Ahhh.

Also the huge bubble of DKs in Outland causes Instancing to become a chore, you can have 4 DKs and a healer and do great! But rolling for gear and such, its a challenge.

Well from that ranting back to the Death Knights, when I first created mine I was face to face
with the Lich King himself, it was fucking awesome
. And so I continued with the quests on getting my full blues for Outland and reaching level
58 threw quests that give butt loads of exp
. But what really made me have orgasims was the lore, holy shit. But also some of the quests made me smile in glee, such as the one
when you are able to ride a Frost Drake and breath frost and shoot frost bolts while you ride in the sky!
and what is really a 1 up for them is the quest line for
your epic mount at 55! Or 56, depending if you did that much. You progress threw a quest line, jack some guys horse and turn it into your very own death steed which runs at 100% (Or 120% if you spec unholy and get the pale horse talent).
And for the final quest you are sent on in the DK area, it pure of epic. Prepare for a wall of /spoiler!
For the last death knight quest in the area, you are sent to the Holy Chapel to engage in a huge fight against the Argent Dawn, a flesh golem, numbers of other player DKs and undead legions are fighting with you. On their side is a bunch of Argent dawn knights.. oh yea not to mention the DK guy who has ashbringer... yea he is with you too. Not to mention you get buffed up to infinity hitting 10k crits with almost every attack. You continue this battle till you lose (Fuck) and your army is kneeling down in mercy. A chain of events happen as whats his face with Ashbringer meets his human self and his father in a ghost like form. But soon (dun dun dunn) the Lich King himself appears and devours his fathers soul (I think). While the leader of the Argent Dawn explains that Arthas sent the Death Knights to their doom. Which is true in a way but so he can fullfill his purpose. Arthas (The lich king) get really angry and begins to "charge his lazers" in a since. He begins to take down almost everyone. The way he does this is by yelling "APOCALYSPE!" and shooting shadow bolts at everyone, except the players since they apparently don't exist. Whats his face with ashbringer tosses the sword to the leader of the Argent Dawn. It begins to surge with holy energy as does the wielder and they cast the lich king back. Arthas retreats back to Northrend and you are sent to your factions leader to atone and join them.
Whew. If there are typos, I is sorry.
Baeron von Bleat
Alright, so after a few days of playing... it was kind of ridiculous.

I've got a 70 warrior (wartank! If paladin's get lots of fun names, so do warriors), and a 70 shamelly (elemental shaman ftw!).

Of course I played the shaman. We've got a new dps spell to aim for (lavaburst at 75! What? A non-nature spell for the master of elements? I just can't wait for them to throw in a frost spell for whacking things).

It's fantastic. I landed in the Tundra, then I hopped over to the Fjord for my first instance, and grinded my way through a few dozen quests. So yes, that was 12:20AM on Thursday till 7am.) Then work, followed by more crazy playing till 7am friday (oh, work starts at 9:30 if I'm on time).

So far, everything in WotLK is what they didn't do in BC. Yes, you're grounded for a while (but flying starts at 77!) and some of the terrain is ridiculous to get around. But there's all the fun of blasting through mobs, and earning rep with the myriad of factions running around (the alliance invasion force is revered, and the walruses are almost to that point, and there's this new dragon group that are desperate for me to ride them, so they're at friendly and almost to honored!) The leatherworking is fantastic (it was a little depressing, there's a "First in the realm" Achievment if you're the first to do stuff. IE: Make 80, be the first of your race to make 80, be the first of your class to make 80, be the first to raid a dungeon etc.) And I haven't been close to getting any of those. There was a moment where that was the dream... but when I dinged 74 right when the first horde shaman ticked to 80, the dream was over.

But there's a lot of stories going on, and quests have little scenes when you complete them! So story line! WOOOH! Not just grinding crap cuz they tell you.

No details, but I've got about 40% of the map explored (Explorer for the win! Maybe I can be the first to explore every zone to completion!).

Now the complicated matter of what to play. I like to be able to cover any position for raiding, so when a raid comes toegether, and we need a tank, BAM! Wartank! Or we need dps elemental shaman. But I don't have a healer yet. So do respec my shammie (he's elemental, he's always been elemental, and that would be a betrayal to his spirt I don't think i could bear), or do I level my 20 paladin to 80 (oh gods the time sink....)

At the same time, I want my warrior to be 80, and yet I want Deathknight... They're too cool to ignore. But I already have a dps! So here's the thought. Get Warrior to 80. Get deathknight to 80 as a dps (I know Deathtank is an awesome title, but they just rape with dps). So I'll have a tank, a melee dps, a ranged dps, then I just level my paladin, and I'll have a resto character! Infinite possibilities to join raid/instance anything! And my Deathknight will probably be the first true PvP character I have! (Elemental shamans are fairly gimped when it comes to pvp).

Yes, it's a time sink to get 4 level 80 characters. But I think it's doable by march. So I'll get Guntrik to 80 first, and gear him so he's a viable raider, and then grind everyone else up. I can't wait!

Serenity now, insanity later.

Overall, the expansion seems relatively well done. Realm stability has been impressive - I've only been kicked off once in days - and the lag hasn't ever been worse than Shattrath used to be.

Of course, I do have a number of pretty strenuous complaints about a few of the design decisions Blizzard wanted to go with. Like having neutral quest hubs with no guards. As an Alliance shaman (the single worst class for PvP, seeing as we have no counter-cc and our only cc is at 80 with a 45-60 second cd) on a server that is predominantly Horde, I routinely get camped by an entire faction. I have no way to escape anybody since Earthbind is easily destroyed and everybody can slow me more than Frost Shock slows them. I can't survive anybody because I have the health pool of a rogue without their avoidance. I'm a melee class with no closing ability so I can't actually hit most enemies until after the fight is over.

I can accept not being good at PvP. My class has some powerful and important buffs, some good damage and we recently got some more utility. What I can't tolerate is a lack of protection in places I can get quests. I, personally, have been repeatedly killed in at least four quest hubs and I play odd hours. Any player who isn't new knows shamans can't actually do anything to survive a gank attempt and now Blizzard takes away the tiny protection we used to have?

It doesn't help that most of our class redundancy is packaged up in Death Knights - who pretty near cannot lose to us in a PvP fight. I don't even fight back when people attack me now. There's nothing more frustrating than being a 74 who gets comfortably beaten by a 70 of any other class.

He has no life because he managed to do in a couple of days what you will spend weeks attempting?

This never made much sense to me. I used to hear it a lot when people found out it takes me around six hours to read a novel. If it takes me less time to do something, don't I have more time to have a life?

I think he is saying they have no life if you can average 3 weeks of a normal amount of gameplay (which for me is 4-8 hours) into the course of less than 4 days.

Also, We have a level 80 DK on Laughing Skull already, but the only Realm First the horde has is all the proffesions and stuff.
Alliance has the 80's, we has the skills.

Deathknights are uberness to the max.
They are the only class that made me want to return to an RP server.

As though sir you must see the point of the statement, some people refer to it as "Too much free time" or "You only commit yourself to one thing." We all have a life and we do what we want with it. Most of us use this term to really compliment than insult someone. I use it as a "Good job! You are very determined in (activity) and have bested me in this subject!"

So its more of a compliment than just saying "Zomg your a nerd & have no life lololol"
