WoW lore is full of holes. However, I still think that it is one of the best designed MMO's out there, hands down.
It's certainly top five even years after launch.
But people don't usually complain about the mechanics compared to the bitching about how Blizzard is ruining the lore they completely made up.

Really? most of the QQ I see on the boards is about "waaah this class is OP" or "waaah we got nerfed" or some such. Yeah people cired about Malygos being evil in the expansion and a few other things, but for the msot part people are exicted about King Varien and the new lore stuff, and I know that I am.

WoW is an mmo first before it's an rpg. Remember that. So when you whine about lore or just are disappointed about it, don't be. Because most of the time it's not going to go exactly according to lore. As we've seen already. It's most likely going to be that way for most games unless they are making the lore up as they go along for a game. It's kind of like Magic: the Gathering, you have a certain percentage of people that complain about the storyline when really most people don't care and just want to play the game and whine about how the game is broken in certain ways or whatever. Nobody really pays too much attention to the Vorthoses.

I read a few of the MtG books. They sucked bad. So now, I dont care where Akroma came from. Only that she is going to hand you your ass in a sling.

The mirroden ones and the Lorawynn ones. They all sucked. Oh, and a timespiral one, also sucky.

Forgive me if my first post on the boards, is in response to the listed topic, and not the off topic stuff

Arathor Server
GM, Light Of Stromgarde
Lvl 70 Arms Warrior, T5+ geared, cleared through Mags.
Stopped endgame raiding to concentrate on the guild (was previously raiding with an alliance)
Other sundry toons including
42 Holy pally
31 NE Hunter
22 Holy Priest
12 BE Lock
10 NE Druid
I love all the old world instances, especially MC and Ony, and I think its totally lame that Bliz is removing the attunement process.

Firstly, the WoW boards are full of nothing but that. I was talking about the complaints here.
And really, it's just them bitching because they want an edge (or to be competitive, with some classes).

Note that the Warcraft franchise was started with a rather simple conflict between orcs and humans and the lore as the franchise advanced had to be created "on the go".

I would love for feral druids to be competitive in PVP. It looks like we may be a tad bit more in wrath, but still not enough to actually hold our own. We shall see though.
As for people complaining about lore... As was just pointed out, this whole thing was made up on the fly for a video game. There are gonna be some inconsistency as well as some contradictions.

Huh? Regardless, that is part of the beauty of WoW. There is alot to do. I know one of my friends only levels so that he can learn new engineering recipes. He literally plays the game so that he can have fun with engineering. I enjoy group content and some PVP but there is alot there for everyone.

I love being a druid, cause for me I love PvPing and PvEing equally. But would sort of choose PvE over PvP. Cause all I need to do is stand there and go pew pew. And occasionally move around and cast an innervate time to time. Its great.

Then 2 of my guildies who have a ridiculous amount of luck with mounts (Anzu, Nightmare, Hawkstrider...), get it both in 2 consecutive runs.

Yeah the drop rate on the Baron mount suxors for sure.
I do a lot of the old world instances still, Baron and Ony being common ones, and we havent seen the mount drop in 15 runs or so.
I was super bummed that I didnt get the Brewfest kodo, that was the one I was after lol.
My gf did tho, lucky her.
On the good note tho, the mounts in the new expansion will be pretty decent. I forsee a lot of people switching to tailoring to get the magic carpet.
Im not too hot on the motorcycle tho, I just think thats too far outside the lines.

On my rogue, I start by burning all my cooldowns and making tanking a major pain since I dish out a massive damage/threat spike on my rogue
Heroism+Drums of War+Haste potion+Blade Flurry+Adrenaline Rush+Slice'n'Dice+Rupture = DPS

Navy Seals is a fun game. you should play it sometime
me and another 4 guys (when we were lvl 20-30ish) who all have subtely rouges all run RFC (for example) and only take out the main guy(s). Like that targarman dude or just the leaders of the fang
Rules are
- Kill only those necessary
- No interference unless it will expose the group (i.e. sapping)
- Once your dead, your done (can't res, or come back)
thats all we have now.

A rogue can't survive the slaugterhouse event when you get swarmed by ghouls and zombies. A prot warrior has a chance, other classes can AoE them down at lvl 70 easily.

We also don't need poison reagents, Anaesthetic posion will dispell frenzy effects. Nerves of steel will no longer give you a % to resist stun/fear, but will reduce its duration. Kick only has one rank and causes no damage. And AP > all now.
