I'm actually not ragging on Pella too much this time, she is actually being productive for once. Doubt she'll actually make good on her song producing claim, but one can hope. Just...the thought of.....urrgg....not cool. Not cool at all.

Ya know, I think thats the first time I've ever seen Richard's eyes completely closed. Even when he was passed out all those other times, his eyes were always half open. Interesting.

The main reason Richard calls this a spa is probably the ambience and the use of swords for accupuncture
any real spa would be boring for Richard.

To tell the truth, I'm wondering why no one is asking why Richard keeps getting nerfed. Sure it's hard to keep a plot going if the all-powerful warlock just kills everything...But isn't that what we want to see? Richard is going to be out of the game basically for the following story-arc, just like he was taken out when he was shrunk. I don't know about the rest of you, but I want to see some Richard action without having to wait for it.

I dunno, just my opinion. Still, hilarious strip. I can see a budding new romance in the air...

In response to the above post, we've been speculating on that point since they were first captured. The general consensus states that Richard's playing the good little captive because he wants to. Runes or not he could overtake his captors more easily than Krunch if he felt like it, but whats the fun in that? He obviously saw the experience as an enjoyable one, and as he said before he's not in the business of 'saving' people unless theres something expressly in it for him.

Oh, I completely agree. Richard could have kicked Landor's ass and escaped much sonner if he wanted to. But I think he was having fun being tortured, and he probably had some strange amount of respect for Landor because of his profession.

Panel 1 really gives an idea of how massive Krunch is, the human soldier looks tiny beside him.

how did Krunch get loose from the shackles? I can't really believe the theory that our protagonists would have been able to break out all along, but let themselves be tortured (potentially several times) just on on the offchance that they might overhear some information. They certainly didn't intend to be captured and tortured when they first stormed the keep. Maybe they were biding their time, and waiting for someone with the keys to get careless.

And that soldier certainly was careless, to go into the cell alone. Borderline suicidal.


Reminds me of the scene in Blade Runner, when the female replicant Pris had Deckard's head in a vice-grip between her thighs and tried to screw his head off, literally.

Actually, my first thoughts on seeing panel 3 were: Ooh, shirtless Cale! ... whoa Pella has some serious cleavage ... and muscles, too, she's build like if Arnold Schwarzenegger in his younger days were compressed down to 4' tall, and female... I wonder if that poor soldier would have enjoyed meeting Pella under more romantic circumstances ... Hey, nice legs, Cale.

Good idea. But I think they first need to find Pella's axe to chop them off, and I don't know how long it would take for Benny to do her healing spell. In the middle of battle right now she will probably concentrate on shielding spells.

I think that she's more interested in finding her staff so that she can cast the shielding spells/wards at all.

If that is how they usualy move him then maybe they were purposely staying captured so they could find out information.

It's not me who was dropped as a baby, but that is the impression I get from the guard that is rubbing his keys against Krunch's shackles... So I'm still sticking with that the guard was dropped as a baby.

Well, it's a good thing he had his soft, cushiony baby head to break the fall.
