Anyone else think Oblivion's leveling system is a red mark on an otherwise perfect game? A really big red mark. I really hate that it makes chose between playing in easy mode or leveling skills for days. I know its a game and I don't actually have to do anything, but for example if I want to be able to do most of the thief and/or dark brother hood quests right it just isn't right that I have to crouch down and and auto run (I use a hair band to pull the left analog stick)for over 6 hours when it is one of my "major skills".

I could probably get a hacking tool for my xbox but I am afraid the second I do that I will get a red ring of death and the warranty will be void because I didn't want to spend unreal amount of times abusing my horse, casting buffs on myself, spinning the chatter wheel, swimming under water, jumping under a bridge, getting abused by rats in a crazy ladies basement, and/or shopping.

Apparently you have never played Ultima Online or Star Wars Galaxies....and there you grinded charcters to become a jedi or whatever leet template was out at the time.

You are right I haven't.

When I was still playing the game non stop, I completely ignored the level-up thing until a quest came up that I couldn't do because of my level. That's when I focused on whatever I had to do.

It's basically a moot point for me, because it's like... just there. And it chose to pop up when it wanted to.

Well, actually i never cared so much on lvling, meneither. The quests were my main aims...
