Full Version: I liked the old forum a little better

I can see some of the benefits of doing the pull down thing, but the old way of seeing posts in order of postings was better I think. The reason is that many of the new postings have associations from more than the post they are linked with, which is lost with this new way of showning things.

For example, Tobrian posted something off a post I made and in my reply to her I made a slight mistake. Lunaya caught it and posted to me with the link which I then responded to linked to her post and then I addressed both ladies. However, now that I look at it, Im not sure if all the parties involved with these postings saw everything that connected to them. This bothers me a little.

Not only that, but before I read every post, but now with links not showing time sequences easily, I am not doing so.

I vote going back to the old way, but perhaps others like this better.

You have to adjust that setting in your control panel. Mine didn't change with this change over, so perhaps you accidentally changed something n accident in how threads appear to you.

I guess I'm using "Man eyes" again, but I've looked through the settings and can't seem to figure out which one would switch me back. Can you help me, please? sad.gif

K. It's not in your control panel (older versions of IPB it was). It's at the very bottom of the forum. The menu down there lets you set the forum as to how you want to be seen, wehther by last post, last poster, etc.
