This is the friendly voice of the moderators speaking, reminding you of some important things that certain individuals, who will remain unnamed for the meantime, seem to be forgetting when they start "debating" in heated topics.

Lately, Ghis and I have noticed an increase in personal attacks and trolling over opinions in topics such as the Abortion discussion, Christianity, etc. Trolling, flaming and flat out being an asshole are things that are not tolerated on these forums. To make it a little clearer to you, while you may -have- "freedom of speech" you are on a private forum and we have rules that we will enforce. If you continue to be a troll and flame/bait/attack others, we will have no course of action to take other than a banning.

Please remember that bannings come in three steps. 24 hours....48 hours...72 hours....permanent.

Please remember, that just because someone disagrees with you over a topic, does not mean they are wrong and you are right. Everyone is entitled to their opinions without being bashed or attacked by others for them. Opinions are opinions. They are not fact, so please stop taking them as such. Also, just because someone posts something that is against what you believe does not make it a personal attack. It is a variation of opinion. For fucks sake quit taking it personally.

This is our friendly reminder to keep things civil.

We don't want to have to put a ban on controversial subjects, but the way responses are going in the topics, it's putting us on an edge of having to treat individuals like children rather than mature adults.

You can be sure you're right. Othrs are also sure they are right. Just because you have difficulties with expressing your views in a less than aggressive manner doesn't meant you are any less right, it just means you are incapable of expressing things in a friendly non-aggressive manner.

That is idealogical thinking, I fully agree we should play nicer on the forum but history has shown being friendly and unaggressive is the bain of most failed cultures. Like my people for example.

It does, anyone could tell this thread was directed towards the the people I was arguing with and myself. I will be less aggressive on the forum. As for in real life... after 12 years of being raised and trained for military service, I simply don't know any other way. I graduate next month, enlist and start my official military training asap. I prefer "Sir, yes sir!" myself, it's a classic. As far as the modding has been going, you two are very lenient compared to most forums. By most forums, I wouldn't have gotten away with that aggressive-mediation tactic I took that started back up my mediation compulsion, at least without a warning.

Oh, I doubt I'd get banned for it on any forum. I would have gotten a warning, however, and doing it too often would definitely result in a ban.

this topic isn't up for debate or discussion. it's a matter-of-fact type thing. Now buckle down because what I've seen of the events that have gone down this weekend, Kay did a hell of a job not baning the lot of you for a 24 hour period. I know I would have. Now, I understand that a certain someone stirred up some pretty bad shit and he'll get what he deserves but, as many of you did do, the only implication in the matter would have been to hit the "Report" button and move on.
