I think Marvel's Forum is waaay too big for someone to even read my ideas, so I'll better put them here. This place is for theories about the upcoming Secret Invasion, so feel free to say anything you may think about it. I'll start with my favorite candidate for Skrull:

Maria Hill.

She seems to be the prefect candidate; look at all the things she subtly has caused:

- Before Nick Fury's Secret War she was a"never heard before" character, an easy one to replace with a Skrull agent. And she was handpicked by an obscure group of people to be the leader of the "World's Peacekeeping Taskforce", taking Nick Fury, a man who could have seen it all coming, off the grid.
-She stablished a counter-hero S.H.I.E.L.D. policy, effectively increasing tensions that would later erupt during CW.
- She suggested/forced Tony Stark getting rid of the Hulk, wich caused WWH, a safe way to test and diminish Earth's defenses for the Skrull invasion.
- She tried to force Captain America into becoming Registration's face, forcing Cap to go AWOL before the Act has passed; effectively ensuring the Civil War becoming a physical struggle, not a legal one.
- Had a hand in two breaking moments of the CW: she gave priority to Clor during the first showdown between both sides, and the, when Spider Man defected, she send the THunderbolts to hunt him down.
- Naming Stark the Director of S.H.I.E.L.D.: even tough Stark is a natural leader, naming him (a corporate man with no militar experience or background whatsover) creates a big distrust within and outisde the organization. Also, with Stark's track record, its easy to assume that he'll eventually crack under the pressure. Furthermore,the Death of Cap and all the personal gain that Stark had after the CW only widens the differences between the pro-reg and the anti-reg sides, making it more difficult for someone to rally all the heroes against a possible invasion.

And even with all this changes, Maria is still the Deputy Director, holding to a power position.
