Has anyone tried out the game? I thought it would be some crappy MMO that would reach the low boards but in graphic wise, thats correct. In gameplay it really shines, I played it a good bit and enjoyed the hell out of myself. I got a "Crew" (Like a party) and hopped on a Galleon and shot down some navy and ghost ships. While plundering there ships and getting a butt load of gold while I was at it. I then hopped on some other navy ships and fought on there own ship. Epicness insued.

Well I won't make a huge story out of this but what are your opinions about the game?
carcer
Sounds fun. I haven't tried it but might now.
Kayhynn
Try Pirates of the Burning Sea.

It's got more ingenuity than a movie rip off MMO
Verbose
The only thing I ever heard about PotC was that the pirates couldn't shoot one another because they were too honourable.

It made me laugh regardless of truth.
pentheraphobia
If I recall correctly, they did shoot each other even when it wasn't called for (like in a swords only sword fight). It was one of the first things to happen in the first movie.

And I tried that MMO once when I was bored. I didn't mind the graphics, but the advertisements and slow loading time got me. Plus, they tried to implement a storyline with the actual characters... and that was horrible, only the people who are easily amused would say they liked how they're using story.

Disney game, what did ya expect lol
MantaLord
I've played it...

I didn't like it at all...

And you aren't allowed to use your guns in PvP... Because that'd be 'violent'.
carcer
I've tried it now, I will have to pass on this one.
I3lind
Dont care if it sounds fun, i wont play it.

Ah, there's that hilarity again.
Kayhynn
It's a Disney game.

That says it all doesn't it?
pentheraphobia
*sigh*

I already convinced my friends out of Guild Wars... almost out of Runescape... and now they like this one too... sleep.gif
Unfortunately there are no better people in my school I have met as of yet sad.gif
Verbose
I'm waiting for Disney to start producing a line of Family Brothels.
carcer
No, just no Verbose. Don't go there.
Verbose
Come on, it'd be great!

It'd really open doors for Disney, too. Once they have the prostitution ring you could easily break into extortion.
Grym
Drugs too.
Zoran
And now we sing!

A-B-O-R-T-I-O-N!
Verbose
Well, you can't expect Disney to let each and every prostitute who gets knocked up to have the child.

It's impractical.

Its Illogical!
Verbose
Gosh darn it, it would ruin their family reputation!

Unwed prostitute mothers? You can't have that.
darkdragonh8
Well, then again, you've got the prostitute part. Why not just take the time and wipe 'em both out?

Actually, Disney has already divorced itself far from morality in various ways and manners, some more noticeable in PoTC than most. For example, the rejection of authority, promotion of pirating, slaughtering of exotic marine life...heck, Disney better sell itself off!

Never did like those guys anyway; they got way too much "artistic license" in their historic butchering.

the rejection of authority,

If we're talking privateers, though, we're not talking proper pirates.
darkdragonh8
'Course not; those privateers bastardize the word "pirate" and are just screens for the fingers of monarchs dabbling where they're not wanted.

Corsairs are the better cousins in the family, in my opinion.
Verbose
Then again, it always was nice to have pirates legitimised simply by annoying one king or another.

Privateers are nice to be an option.
darkdragonh8
If you're willing to have your average range of targets limited to one country on foreign seas, sure. Besides, then you lose the thrill of risk. That makes you slightly more sloppy and liable to make mistakes.
Verbose
And you're punished for those mistakes, solving the problem.

Violence looks after itself.
darkdragonh8
By taking out its greatest supporters? Harsh mistress, that.
