There are some that believe the social mind, the collective intelligence of many people, is more intelligent then the individual. If this is the case, you are the smartest account on this forum.
And I request a Tavor emoticon for insane.

Feb 28 2008, 12:38 AM
Then you are as intelligent as you are, but all of us together are smarter then any one of us alone, or so the theory goes.
Also, a 'hulk smash' themed Krunch emoticon is also requested.

Yeah, I can make animated icons.
But, like I said... Post a picture, get an icon.
And, since I don't think it was made clear before... Don't post a picture, don't get an icon. I'm more than willing to make 'em, but I don't feel the need to go hunt 'em down.

Quoted for emphasis, since the point was so obviously missed as to be ridiculous.
Not only does your link not work (the correct link is here - it helps to include the .php at the end
), but even if it did, I'm not going to take the time to sort through and pick one for you. Thusly, since the "post a picture here and I'll turn it into an emoticon for you" has been such an epic failure due to the inability to follow incredibly simple and basic instructions, I withdraw my offer to make the emoticons.
Bodhisattva
Mar 17 2008, 11:23 PM
They'd all be pretty easy, actually, and I'm not out to prove that I can do it. I don't feel the need to do so. But... Since there's still not any "I want this picture that I posted in this thread to be made into an emoticon", I don't feel bad about my decision to say, "Y'know, I was going to do something for someone else that I didn't really have to do, but no one wanted to put forth the effort to actually select a picture and post it in the thread, so I really don't need to make the effort either."

You miss the point of this thread, it is to see if people want some for the forum and maybe even get some way in from someone who can make it happen, not get fan made emotions for personal use. Follow me? If you would like to contribute all you would need is some concept picks then make them in the emoticon style (small face+ exaderated expression= emoticon style)
It sounds like you want someone else to do all the work then you just crop/shrink the pick and that is just lame.

Actually, I think you might have missed the point. I would have (note, past tense) created an entire set and then tried to get someone to put them up on the forum. This was not a project for me, in any sense of the word. What I offered to do was create icons out of whatever images people liked. Asked for images, got attitude. My response was, "Sorry, I don't need to do this." It takes a bit more work than just cropping or shrinking. What's lame is the fact that some people can't do anything other than complain when someone offers to do something for them and asks them to put a minimum of effort into making it a wee bit easier so that everyone can get what they want and be happy. If it's just not worth your time to pick a picture, it's not worth my time to work on it. So... Someone else can do it. No need to bitch about the fact that I decided that since it wasn't worth your effort, it wasn't worth mine either.

Bodhisattva, god forbid people ask you to prove yourself before order us around like you own the forum you conceited bastard.
I find it funny you accuse us of having no initiative when a considerable percentage of the posters in this thread have contributed to the forum in some way or other when you haven't. If any of the artists that posted before you made the same request most forummites would trip over each other getting what ever they wanted. You don't have that kind of reputation here and with that attitude you never will.
Bodhisattva
Mar 18 2008, 02:34 AM
Seriously, I'm not lookin' for a reputation here. That's not what I come here for. Maybe you do, and if you do, that's fine. I said I'd do it if... If didn't happen, so I withdrew my offer. You want to keep bitching me out over that? Sorry, but I don't care for the flame war. Get over yourself.
