Sweet Jesus! Yes I will be making some of those for the next time I put on the costume!
While that would be seven shades of awesome, I do feel the need to warn you (which really means "I don't want you burning something down and blaming me").
Flame retardant clothes. This should go without saying. Absolutely NO polyester, it's a petroleum product and both melts and burns.
Make sure your hands are clean, and the half gloves should be made of Nomex. Finding black ones shouldn't be hard.
Fire extinguisher held at the ready
by someone else. If something goes wrong, you're probably going to be too occupied to think about grabbing the extinguisher yourself.
Bring a large piece of flameproof carpet/blanket/material to cover the floor in case you drop one.
Keep in an open area away from drafts and anything flammable.
Don't let others talk you into "Hey let me hold one PLEEEEEASE!!"
Please don't do this around overly impressionable kids because you just know they'll try it and probably hurt themselves.
Do try it out beforehand in a safe place so you know what to expect.
I doubt most places are going to allow you to play with fireballs indoors. Best ask if it's allowed.
Best advice: Don't get cocky and try to show off too much. We don't want to see you on an episode of Jackass or one of those shows that makes fun of people doing no-so-smart things that they think will make them look cool. And this DOES qualify as a not-so-smart thing. But I still want to try it myself.

Maybe on Halloween, if it isn't too windy outside.
