I kinda felt good about this one. At least Tavor can rest in peace after this.
Then again, no epic rivalry

It'll be funny if this is all Cale is bringing to take down the Vulli.

The one time I think Cale will allow for mayhem

Although, I wonder if he took women and children into consideration...
I haven't seen the emperor of the kingdom yet. I wonder if Sohmer will make something surprising out of that. Like the evil dark lord of the gnomes and goblins being Richard's tiny, screechy pet.

I think that is the point. They cannot take on Legara immediately, and they are not going to kill all the people. The only Vulii left are the ruling class; he plans to kill the rulers of Legara (which will, admittedly, plunge the continent into chaos-- maybe he's not LG after all?).
They are going to amass an army, first. I think this comic is going to be going on quite a while longer. After all, it's basically over once you take out Legara. Where are they gonna go with it, really? :/
And Lunaya, I'm fairly certain that turtle fought Richard to a draw. Richard was then so impressed by the turtle's resilience that he granted the turtle a few titles and gave him a fork before floating off on his merry way.

Can an undead warlock kill an entire nation?
I suspect if ther's magic of death & destruction isn't there something to counter that (holy/light?) if so Richard might get in trouble (havn't seen that in the comic yet exept healing though)

Don't jump to conclusions. Krunch mentioned something about the Vulii coming from the south, which means the original home of the Vulii could be found there. If Cale's ambitions lead to an "ethnic cleansing" of the evil elves, that's where they'll go next.

I still say they're not immediately going to start killing the Vulii. It's bad tactics. If you're going to take on a race who now exists only as the ruling class of the most powerful nation in the world, you need to amass yourself a pretty big army.
And come on, really, how many of you actually think Cale is planning to kill all Legarans? e.e That's not Cale at all. He's going to try and kill only the rulers and anyone who defends them.

Decapitating the society, effectively destroying the ruling class, plunges it into anarchy and it would seem to me as if the common person was sacrificed to exact some sort of revenge on the Vulii, if that happened.
I have no problem with that myself, being LE, but it kinda contradicts the "goodness" and "nobility" of Cale and Gamlon that have been so emphasized.
The only way for Cale to wipe the Vulii and not let the society collapse is to stage a coup d'etat

And to do that, there's that difficult task of keeping Richard in line.

there's a chance that killing off the leaders of the kingdom will just land Cale a bunch of new subjects.... and possibly (however unlikely) an army.......
and as for the Emperor it could be Tavor, elves are traditionally just shy of immortal after all.

I registered just for this post, despite being a long-time reader and fan.
Skip back to the previous comic - Temmet makes the statement of "I AM LEGARA!" - then we get this passage saying Cale seeks to destroy Legara. So, it seems this is finishing up Benny's plotline alongside moving on Cale's. Look forward to Temmet and the gang meeting up, methinks.

Cale doesn't know about Aelloon's grasp on power. All he knows is that Aelloon is a Commander in the King's legion.

Awww, Richard's all rarin' and ready to go. The second pose is definately more menacing, it has that nice 'towering overlord of destruction' feel. I wonder how long it's been since he's taken down a kingdom? Not since the dragons, perhaps?
Damn, so Benny isn't some unholy spawn of Krunch's foray into alchemy and arcane magicks. *sigh* Owell. *rubs hands in anticipation* Heee, I can't get my mind off the impending death and destruction and carnage and what will most likely be a kingdom nearly single-handedly brought down by the greatest undead warlock evar.
Not to mention the whole thing with 'Vraay tipping Temmet off, just to make the battles of mind-shatteringly epic proportions to come even that more interesting. Ye olde captian may even hire on 'Vraay and her crew to stand against them. Augh I cant wait!!!
I wonder whats gonna happen next? Maybe Richard will wipe out another village just to take the edge off.
Soo, a couple points of mention on todays comic. Yaaay actual weather!!!! I do believe this is the first time in the four plus a couple pages issues of LFG that we've seen actual, bonafide weather, other than your typical its sunny/its dark. And don't quote me and say something about the raining that took place when they were fighting the elementals (read: Phares), because that was most certainly a water elemental descending rather than actual, naturally occuring rain.
Another thing is Krunch's attire. Yea, I can see someone giving Benny something to cover up with, at any given time, no matter what the circumstances. But did anyone notice the fact that Krunch's gauntlets are now fur lined?
...Fur lined. Krunch is fur-lined, for Fez's sake! Not to mention he's still wearing exactly the same thing he always does, only with more fur. It's just odd as hell.

We also have to take into account the Archmages participation in all this. He'll probably just sit there and watch until things get really bad, then try to swoop in and save the day only to get run over by Richard. Most likely in a literal sense.
