I'm psychic. Also a woman.
I guess both of those are equally unlikely on the intertubs, though.

Ashae'la, I love the way you draw your character's eyes. I find making eyes look "alive" to be rather difficult, but you've managed it very well.

Lovely artwork!

Hee hee. Actually, I usually draw elves and drow. I've never tried for an undead before. But now that I think about it, it might be a fun experiment!
I'm still to shy to post any of my art in public. Maybe someday.

...It would appeal to Ghislord. He's an architect of some sort (I think)
That's got to take skill, I3lind! Look at all the straight lines, and I can't even draw one without a ruler.

Hey 13ind, are you a draftsman? That building is sweet (I bet the rent would be outlandish though).

Im a student but i do love drafting, that rendering only took me about 5 hours and 270 layers.

Wow!
I remember taking CAD back in high school and enjoying it (granted I had a slight advantage over my classmates as I had access to the computers in multiple classes and could do part of my classwork early LOL) I would imagine that the drafting programs have improved since then (1997 or 1998, can't remember if it was Junior or Senior year), eswpecially as I don't recall layering as being an option.

Mar 4 2008, 04:21 AM
Oh they have and havent. I mean cad is cad but the 3d modeling software out there. I have extensive cad knowledge, (i have used for 7 or 8 years now). Still, any and all perspectives i like to do by hand as well as all pre-design scheming and diagramming. Its more fluid that way and allows for maximum creativity.

I actually disagree witch has always bugged me with this one. To me, the rendering looks very cartoony. That has always been a problem for me with all medias though, so hopefully ill get it down someday.

Just pen and ink for the underlay, photo shop for rendering.

Manta, did you like Doodles? He used to have a six pack and a nose but I changed it. he was made when I was playing with a drawing compass, 3months later i gave him a body, then I remade him with ears, a nose, some scars, and no legs. he never had a lesser form (small teddy) until 2 months ago. It used to be an eyeball/summoning circle.I don't know how to get drawings on my pc so i made Doodles in paint. What do you all like about doodles?
MantaLord
Mar 4 2008, 11:53 PM
So it's a demon bear? Must... Not... Quote... Yugioh the Abridged Series...
"Does anyone notice that the teddy bear is possessed?"
"HAIL SATAN!"
Twit
Mar 5 2008, 01:29 AM

he isn't a demon. He lives in a cave where he has a huge illusion happening all the time that makes it look like a feild of flowers.Just because the larger form of him has black wings does not make him evil heebity jeebity. He died but he uses a teddy bear that looks like him as a vessel. Technically, his lesser form is possessed

I3lind, those are drawings of Eugene, Oregon? Ever cool! I'm going to show them to my husband when he wakes up. he lived there for many years and speaks very fondly of that town. He'll probably recognize some of the locations.
Very good drawings, by the way. Nicely done!

If not as a draftsman, you could ceratainly get work doing comic backgrounds (the unsung hereos of mainstream comics). I mean even the biggest baddest coolest character looks like crap if th3e backgrounds suck.

In regards to my pic of Ghissy, I'm not happy with the shirt sleaves and the tartan looks like crap, but I'm quite pleased with the overall composition. Comments?
I3lind
Mar 9 2008, 08:51 PM
I always pictured ghisy with a bugger nose and a huge Adams apple. Lower legs and feet are a little awkward, but thats where i run into problem constantly too. Hands work which tends to be another problem area for most, so good job there and the fold and motion in the garments is superb. Great job there in that aspect, you should actually be proud. over, good composition like you said.

Thanks 13ind. I work on drawing hands alot, feet not so much. My perspective drawing needs work too (I just gave up on this one after redrawing his right leg 7 times lol.) Inking was a little rushed too, but after looking at the blasted thing for 2 months I just wanted it done.
