Anyone following this game besides me? Anyone a die-hard SG fan?

I'm not, despite being curious as to how they're going to make this work, but I have a non-gaming friend who will probably buy a gaming computer just to play this game no matter how good or bad it is.

A week before we got the news about it down here he was complaining that nobody's ever tried this.

Haven't heard of the game yet, but I'm looking forward to the ywo SG-1 movies

I am both awaiting and dreadding it. The stargate universe has great potential but they could easily screw this one up and give us another star wars : Galaxies...

Check Gamespot but last I heard, Goa'uld and Replicators were definitely enemies.

When did they change that again?

When the game started off, not everyone could start out as a jedi. First set of times you had to do the hologrind to become A Jedi (been there worked on that). Second time was very quest oriented with The Old MAan (Loved that quest and the village). The village took time but you -worked0 your ass off to get where you were going.

Then the NGE hit right after the expansion and blew us all away. I quit two months after that, seeing all the newbie jedi running around that could start out as jedi or respec to jedi and never did the work the rest of us did. It destroyed the game for me.

Yes, the replicators and Go'uld will have an important part.

Okay, now the side question....I have a side project I am working on...if anyone would be interested in contributing/aiding/etc in it PM me on it.

I agree, could be good or bad. haven't watched either SG1 or Atlantis much since joining the military but that's mostly due to a lack of time and i haven't bothered getting my tv set up.

It would be nice to see them do something interesting and good with the IP. Too many MMOs settle for copying successful portions from other MMOs.

Of course, it's worse when they have some good original ideas and the game bombs because that scares people away from the concept.
