Devin Austra
Another Dick joke.
And he flies too.
nothingbroken
February 2007? smile.gif Have we travelled back in time?

Richard is flying?! Just when we thought he couldn't possibly be more amazing. biggrin.gif
Devin Austra
And the question about the bunny steed has been answered!

Look what Benny's holding. laugh.gif
The gF
Also, it turns out Aelloon is the king and we see a fearful sea turtle.

This was an awesome page. :D

ohmy.gif I didn't even notice! The bunny is alive!!
Devin Austra
LOL, sorry about the date.
I drive my bank crazy by doing that on my checks too.
Lonile
Is it just me, or is this the first time we see Pella actually playing an instrument. And where did they get the boat?
Hraddon
Hope Lunaya doesn't see this strip >.>

And looks like the group are having fun with Richard as the killing kite
nothingbroken
Cale seems to be taking his clothes off again. wub.gif

But so is Pella. mad.gif
almogv
Awww the bunny's still with the group. Incidently Comic book four has the most adoreable cover ever. wub.gif

Nice to see that Cale's humour has returned now that he's not being emo.
foxeye
All life will fear me! Even those under the sea.

Omg my sides, I loved this one. :3
Night
yes the bunny lives and richard is a Kite... on a side note, what is "legara"? could he mean Legion as in I am Legion? was Aellon the King in the previous timeline or because they modified it, he is now King? I can't see a king pursuing a common priestes like he did in the beginning. Also does he still seek the Sword of truth? meh I seem to have only questions and no answers...
The gF
Legara is the continent. It seems Aelloon is the ruler over Legara.
barysnikov
I love seen that stupid pirate put in her place, it serves her right, and i hope that she gets lynched eventually. Sorry, i hate crime and injustice, i'm the kind of person who glares people down when they park in reserved spots, just because it's illegal. Plus i see REAL handicapped people nearly getting run over just to bye some candy from ingles.

Yeah, Benny looks cute cuddling a bunny. KODAK MOMENT!

P.S. on reading the final line, i wonder. Will their be another Richard song? This time based off the song "under the sea"? It does sound fun!

Too late. ohmy.gif Loved the update, but I swear to God, if Richard hurts the turtle, I am kicking his skinny, undead ass all the way to kingdom come. mad.gif

Anywho...It's kind of refreshing to see Cale in a good mood again. Am I right?

He better kill that turtle. TURTLE SOUP FTW!

Yeah it's nice to see the old-Cale again. I was getting tired of him being emo.
Tobrian
Hurray! smile.gif Finally, someone did what I had pleaded for so often and included the page number and year in the thread title! All hail to Devin Austra! Er, I'm sure the correct year can be edited in... wink.gif

Ha! As I predicted... I knew Aelloon brought more than a handful of men with him. Although I didn't expect quite so many warships. And dragons. blink.gif Take that, flea-ridden pirates! Pwned!
(Not that I consider Aelloon much better. He's a brutal warlord, he simply has more men than Tah'Vraay, and Might in that world makes Right.)

I will chalk up the many ships and dragons to the Rule of Cool and the story need for the antagonist (Aelloon) to make his Big Entrance of Shock and Awe. Still, I wonder... "I am Legara"?? If Aelloon is not megalomaniac and does indeed as he claims "possess a land, a nation", why is he personally running around derelict towns like Nestorep? And where the heck is the Emperor? Does he even exist? Is he a puppet king, without real power? Or did we, the fans, invent the idea of an emperor ruling Legara with the help of the "King's Legion" when in truth there isn't one? Is he merely fanon instead of canon? huh.gif

"Scientifically speaking, this should not be possible." *snerk* Krunch gets the best lines in this.
So, they've left Kethenecia? And are travelling to Legarion (on the continent of Legara, as per the map) by.... boat? Hm.

Pella has finally taken off her helmet, and there's not a monstrous tentacled face of an elder god growing from her head as I half-expected. Oh well. wink.gif
theflavorofred
I don't think he's the actual ruler. He's high commander of an army though, and that permits him little egotistical claims, like "I am Legara!" I mean, the context is, "I'm not some simple pirate captain, or the leader of a rag-tag band. I'm the commander of an entire nation of soldiers and dragons."

I hope so. It would be vaguely disappointing if Aellon turned out to be the mysterious Big Bad on the throne.

I still wonder why he thought that Benny of all people could bring him the Sword of Truth, when the SoT was just a legend in the present time. I have my hypotheses about this, starting with the fact that Aelloon's appearance in Nestorep coincided with Richard's and Cale's arrival there, which put the group on the quest to discover the sword and started the time loop in the first place, but... I don't know. It would mean someone with knowledge of the time line is manipulating Aelloon, too, to orchestrate the whole thing.

I imagine that this is the case. Otherwise, Aelloon is just some annoying dude who likes to antagonize green chicks.

Paladins have their uses... i imagine richard could think of 100, none of which involve the palladin suriving.
Vegos
About Aelloon - I don't think he's REALLY the king, but he's the one who is the de facto ruler, but may be trying to usurp the formal throne - you know, maybe the kingdom turned into a police state at some point, he's pulling all the strings, the King is maybe either too incompetent or too trusting toward Aelloon ("trusty" advisor and all that stuff)

PS: And I +1 the posters above me. Not a fan of lawful good myself.
Eternal wanderer
Aelloon on a power trip, and with his army, he feels so high and mighty... Ah well, i call the army cannon fodder for the group in this case. Looks like Cale wasn't manipulating Richard though, he seems to be out on a killing frenzy on that ship, and it should be pretty easy to bump into aelloon's fleet.

No-longer-emo Cale,a Richard flied like a kite, the bunny lives and another dick joke...

Good to see Cale back to his usual state instead of being all depressed!
Though I won't forgive Richard quickly if he kills the turtle. They're

Hmm, from ballista bolt fodder to cannon fodder and soon to be fwoom fodder. I like that.

I dont get why Krunch is surprised that Richard as a kite defies the laws of physics and can fly.... After all Richard did somehow manage to crucify himself when they needed the portal opened...............

Hah, I call it riding the wind really. He does need Cale to hold the string, otherwise he'll drift off to where ever the wind takes him.

Edit: Oh and welcome to the forums.
Lunaya
I would have to ask Krunch at what point the laws of science have ever applied to Richard.
starkruzr
I don't understand this. Why did they fly Richard up there and why is he shooting dolphins?

Grym
Now we know what happened to his bunny-steed.
MrEasterband
Hmm... Richard flying like a kite... No wonder Krunch is suprised, due to the laws od physics. But noe the less it can be explained.
It is like the story about this scientist in aerodynamics who proved that a bumble bee can't fly, because it weighs too much and has too small wings. But the bumble bee doesn't know that, so it flies anyway. And Richard... well, we're talking about a person who crusified himself.
Frozen_Sun
This comment from Richard is slightly unsettling. Who's to say that this is just a passing comment and not some insight on Richard's true goals? It is possible that this is his attempt at remembrance. Later on, he may employ several thousands slaves to build a pyrimid thousands of cubics high for him.
Hraddon
So the time hasn't change much except the existence of Kathenecia.

So meaning everything happened as if Kathenecia existed in the first place.

And my brain hurts thinking about it, I think the storyline/timeline in Prince of Persia is more understandable than this...

And now they're both at the sea, don't you think it's just too fast for Cale and co. to encounter them now? Or maybe they're just having fun with the 'new' sea the Phares created to flood the old village Mutton chops man (forgot the name AGAIN) came from.

Nosekill
Aelloon's face reminds me of one Saturday night out with some mates. One of 'em had smoked god-knows what and all of a sudden he raises up and yells: "I am NOT drunk!"

Looks exactly like good ol' Temmet, just without the helmet.

Love the bunny smile.gif

Hmmm...I see a possible tie-in to a particular Disney movie again....
Richard's lines "All life will fear me, even those, under the sea."
The Little Mermaid. Slaughter your World. Under the Sea.

You beat me to it. I still think that the last panel would have been better with Ariel, Scuttle, or Sebastian.
Tobrian
The question is, where is the Phares chalice now? Did they persuade Richard to let go of it and give it to the villagers in Kethenecia? Or did Richard take it with him on the boating trip to Legara? In that case, Richard would be in possession of an artifact with elemental powers, which would explain why he can float in the air all of sudden. But it does not bode well... the chalice was meant to protect nature, Richard is again demonstrating that he kills and mains and rapes nature for sport.

It was of course a refence to Lovecraft's Cthulhu Mythos.

Is it just me, or is Richard in the last three panels darker, scarier and more ominous than he's ever been?
Borsek
I am a not some thief you managed to waylay by trickery.

WTH is this supposed to mean? Is it intentionally cut away or a typo?

Either:

I am not some thief you managed to waylay by trickery.

or

I am a king/whatever, not some thief you managed to waylay by trickery.

Or was the effect of a cut word intentional?

Borsek
Armus
**, at least the main characters are here and attempting to make some humor. no word as to why they are here but it's a start, allbeit a so one.
Rip Van Ishmael
*sigh* Again, no time to read through three whole pages of response. Seriously, what is the world coming to?

Heehee. Richard. So seriously silly. It seems the Phares introduced him to an entire new world to unleash his wrath upon. And ten gold says the kite thing was Richards idea.

*the group sets sail*
Cale: The wind is strong today. This should give us quite the start.
Richard: Let's fly a kite!!
Benny: Your ways of keeping yourself amused never cease to amaze me, warlock.
Krunch: I don't see why not, but the only materials we have that would make one are my maps and scrolls....*red tinge* We are not using my maps and scrolls.
Richard: *ignoring everybody whilst tying a string about his waist and reeling a spool that probably came from the same place the comment box did* Hold this. *hands it to Cale*
Cale:...What..?
Richard: *climbs on to the bow of the ship*
Krunch: Richard, that isn't going to work. You're light, but not nearly enough to get airborne and-
Richard: *waves from about thirty feet in the air*
Benny: ...Then again, I'd like to see what would top that.

There's quite a few other points of mention on this page too, secondary to the AWESOMEness that is Richard, of course. For example:

Panel 4: Big headed midget baby? As for Temmet's proclaimation that he is Legara, I think that was more like Richard saying he was death. I really doubt Temmet is the actual king of Legarion, he just happens to be the guy who runs things. Everyone knows that royalty is there for banquets and beheadings, not ruling.

Panel 5: Manhandling! Even I pysically shuddered when I saw that panel. Too bad (and I can't believe I'm saying this) Vraay doesn't have Pella's sense of humour.

Panel 6: And speaking of Pella, we get to see what she looks like under the helmet! Aaaand, she still looks like a man. dry.gif The return of the Felbunny mount was noticed already (how could it not), and it looks like Krunch's fear of the water got reignited (or is that resaturated?) with that water elemental incident, and he's returned to his prone position tied to the deck.

Also, it might just be the expression, but Cale seems to be sighing the words 'Dick on a kite...' instead of laughing them. As if all is right with the world.

Then again, Richard is killing things, so I guess it is. ^.^
Lunaya
You're right! When I first saw Cale's face, I was sure he was singing. *pats* He's so cute.

It's..uh..kinda weird seeing Pella without her helmet though. It took me a minute to figure out why she looked so different.
Rip Van Ishmael
The helmet seemed to have obscured her eyebrows a bit, because I don't recall them being that large. The twin braids thing looks fine with it on, but with it off she kinda looks like a chubby hillbilly toddler.
Dro
Yay! Dicky's little mount is still around!
Super Gamer 117
Wouldn't it be ironic if he killed Ariel from the Little Mermaid? tongue.gif
