While reading through the forum rules, it states that we cannot "resurect" a post older than 3 months. Many people who want to discuss things have not been on the boards that long. I opened up a thread just a few minutes ago that was asking Macs Vs. PCs. The first reply to the thread was didn't we do this a year ago?, followed by yes, closed. How are we to know what topics are now banned because you guys talked about them years before?
If people don't like a topic, don't post on it. I agree with closing the thread if the original poster is the one trying to revive it.
Please sticky a thread with a list of topics that we can no longer post about.

Well, what I really should've done is hit the "Search" tab in that case, but since even a "Pie vs. Cake" thread hadn't been there, I thought the "Macs vs. PC's" thread would be alright.

It was actually only about two months ago that the original topic came out.

And its also the fact its a new poll when the poll was already there and done and over with.
It is also not wise to question the decisions of admins or moderators publically. There is a PM for a reason.

And a poll for this type of thing is a bit redundant. There will be a small contingent of Mac fans and a majority of PC fans on most websites. It's that simple because that's the spread of what people own.

I don't think I've even touched a Mac for about ten years...

I touched a Mac last week.
Not one of the computers. It was a Scottish guy.

How was it? Did he need re-booting?

I don't think he was wearing any kind of shoes let alone boots.
It's much too hot for that kind of business here at the moment.

I know it'll change in a second, but right this very moment your post count reads 6,666.
That makes me happy. A nice, even, repetitive number.

Yeah, I just blazed past the more traditional satanic number like it weren't even there.

I use a mac at work, a PC at home, a Linux box for a server.
Macs are great for design stuff. Especially flash.
PCs are great for gaming. Especially Wow and other games. Most games aren't made for Macs, Wow being the exception.

I'm of the opinion that, barring specific and complex needs, they're all basically the same if you want to spend the money on it.
I use a PC because it's default setting is all I want it for. Problem solved.
