You may have noticed that I have removed sigs and changed it to a mod notice in there.
This is your reminder of rules regarding signatures.
I will continue to remove/edit signatures when they do not follow the rules.
5. Signatures.
--Signature images need to be restricted to 600x125 pixels and less than 50k in size. (This means 600 wide, 125 high. It does not mean that you can figure out the dimensions and make it bigger. No. 125ish high is MAX. We will round to 130sometimes for multiple images. But not more than that.)
--You may have multiple images in signatures, however they cannot exceed the 125pixel height or the file size.
--Text signatures need to be a little more contained than they have been. translation, tone them down. Many of the signatures make up the majority of a post, which just isn't right. So tone them down. I'd like to keep to a maximum of 6ish lines. I'm not gonna be strict on it unless it doesn't change.
That means 10 lines + is not acceptable. 6 lines folks. Let's not push it anymore.
Thanks!

Thank you for doing this Kayhynn, I've noticed that some people have large signatures, much larger than you have specified. But I have a strong feeling that you may still have to remove some signatures because people don't read all the rules. I also have a recommendation: when you edit someone's signature, maybe you should post a link to this topic.

This is my last friendly note on this. If I change your sig and you're silly enough to just put it back, i'm suspending you for 24 hours and putting a carebear sig in its place.
Yes. I have a carebear sig.
So please. Adjust your sigs according to the rules. You have 48 hours to do so before I go back to editing.

Ah, but what if we just want a carebear sigg?

No no no, you see it is irony, she'll have to put something even more degrading in.
Good luck with that, Kay.

no, her goal was to replace it with a size appropiate signature. making a big one would only get it replaced with a small one, or something entierly different, depending on kay's mood... honestly my sig keeps changing and i dont get embarassed. i wouldn't mind it if kay changed it to w/e she pleased at any given time. and i'd keep it too, lolo

The quote of "Your sig was wrong" came from a professor...sorta. He'd walk into class and people were talking and he'd tap the board and wrote "If you are talking, you are wrong."

You know that its legally retarded to make a statement like that as it could be seen as a threat and actions could be taken against you?
Besides...whatever LJ is on there is so old and not posted to and is set to public so I don't give a flying rats ass? Think before you threaten child. Seriously. I been playing this internet game longer than you have.

The "profits" would be offset by the cost of gaining and applying the information.
I practically have a sprunger for this type of thing.

IF he can get past it, it wouldn't phase me. However, as few are given access and we have it set up intentionally to be extremely difficult to find (Hubby and I are both blue collar hackers) it's always fun.
Of course, I could be lying and saying there are hidden password protected directories when there aren't just to watch people try to find them with the server tools and be amuzed by it.
Hint: The latter is more than likely more true than the first part, though there are password protected directories, there's nothing profitable in them, just for me to access stuff i need from home at work and are deleted daily.
Verbose
Dec 31 2007, 02:37 PM

No need stepping on a minefield unless there's something at the end and you have more than enough lemmings to clear a path.

Not really. It's a judicious application of power.
Kaybles and Ghishammer and Jaezibubbles are usually pretty lenient in the GD board (it's something of a quarantine principle - if nothing else, their leniency here keeps me off the other boards) and so while Kaybles could lock the thread - and probably will sooner or later - it doesn't need to be locked now.
It probably wouldn't have lived long, but Josefski pointed it out and so it became an Example.
Besides, even our momderators enjoy a minefield/lemming scenario.
