I am just wondering most of the time when he battles his battle catch phrase is "For Pony". I am just wondering in a simple question....
WHO THE FOCK IS PONY?!?!?!?!

Pony isn't a person, ponies are ponies and he's being "cute" or "funny" with his war cry.

Yeah, it's sort of like the Tick's battlecry Spoon, sort of a joke, and maybe Richard's always wanted a pony for Christmas, but his daddy would never let him have one, hence the reason he killed him.

Yeah, Richards battle cry refers to ponies, as he says himself.

To prove he was serious about it to cale; I'd say. So cale couldn't say "See.. told you it sucked! Didn't use it when it mattered"
Well.. actually; I lie. The real reason is that it was written in there to be funny.. and guess what? It was.

That and I think Richard actually likes that battle cry ... or he just needed to focus on something so he could focus his energy on the portal he was making
Hekateras
Dec 30 2007, 05:53 AM
I always he thought he initially made up that battlecry to mock Cale's, which was 'for honour, glory, and a deceased yet no longer forgotten people'. XD Sort of to show Cale what he thinks of that sort of thing as a motivation....
As for his using 'For Pony' when he opened the portal, I thought it another way of saying 'I'll gonna pwn you'. ^^

That would be assuming he was ever alive, and even that he had eyes in the first place... Very very hypothetical i must say!

I guess it depends a lot on your frame of reference. To me dead is the reverse of living, with undead a thin line between them. That way a plant is living, a stone is dead. The thing doens't have to have been alive for it to be dead

but, moot point.
If he was perhaps a mage in his living years, his eyes could have had every color of the rainbow. I can imagine him having yellow irises...
Rip Van Ishmael
Dec 31 2007, 01:21 AM
I dunno, he looks pretty old to me. Not in a fogey, wrinkly sort of way, mind you. Given the 'normal' scale of age, looking at him I can't really discern whether he looks like he'd be in his late 20's or early into his first century. He's mysterious like that.
It doesn't help that it seems to fluctuate alot too. Sometimes he looks really
young, sometimes his
age shines through.
Mr. Wong
Dec 31 2007, 01:22 AM
I always did think those with yellow irises were either totally evil or imbued with some sort of magical power... Or both.
But seeing as how Richard is undead he had to be alive at some point. I'm going for a second guess; Richard was born and learned magic, then used his power for total and complete chaos and then killed by someone. Using sheer will power he kept himself undead, refusing to die. He later uses some kind of micky dicky magic that keeps him from feeling pain and able to continue while loosing limbs or being torn apart.

We suppose that technically, if Richard was always dead, wouldn't he technically be considered alive for whatever he may truly be?

no, richard's pony has to be cute or it's not funny. he's being funny with his warcry, and funny = irony. the cute cuddly pony is irony.

Are you kidding me? The mods are never pleased.
As for the eyes thing, under the normal spectrum of color I can definately see Richard's as being that icy blue when he was alive. But at the same time, he was probably a mage in life, so like someone said before, he could have color-changing eyes.
Still a bit iffy to imagine him with iris' and pupils at all though. Just doesn't seem right.

Hmmm...
I kind of get why people think piercing/blue/intelligent but perhaps he was a bit less sinister back then.
Or perhaps he had hellfire eyes even when he was alive.
Pehaps I'd like a glass of whiskey. Yes, I think that's much more likely.

I know this isn't WoWuniverse, but I find it funny that the warlock mount is a demonic pony of sorts.
Doubt he's actually referring to this (much funnier that Richard would pick a random cute animal to mock Cale with), but makes me smile when I summon mine nonetheless.

Who says that he wasn't a nice heroic guy? Maybe he sacrificed hs life for love and decidedthat in the undead he wasn't going to stand for that kind of thing anymore. Maybe he was warm and suffered a painful death.
He didn't have to be evil. A mage is probable; though; but mayhap being undead imbued him with power.

Perhaps he is saying the word "Pony", but meaning the spelling of "Pwny". Or, as I can imagine the phrase being said in his head. "FOR PWNING!!" This is Richard after all, and he is witty like that.
